I was in town visiting my folks for the holidays and in severe need of a pedicure. I was also looking for a place decently close to home in OS. Thanks to the great reviews on Yelp, I found BCBC. And, I wasn't disappointed. The salon was pretty empty, so I was able to get seated right away. I got the basic pedicure for $22, and it was one of the best I've had in a while. While the menu they show you does't indicate that the basic gets a massage, you most certainly do. And, I really enjoyed how my technician took time to really knead and massage my feet. She was super gentle with her clipping and filing and had a very delicate, deliberate hand with the polish. She even gave me a hug before I left and was very gracious. The location is great -- away from downtown and Highway 90 (for the most part). I know this will be my go-to place from now on when I'm in town. read more

I had come here to get my eyebrows waxed and as you can see, they did an average job. What I'm more concerned about is the fact that the technician put alcohol on my eyebrows after they were done waxing which caused it to burn. My pain tolerance is high; but this was excruciating. The picture attached is the day after getting my eyebrows done. You can see burn marks underneath my eyebrows that will most likely scab over. Very disappointed, I won't be going back. read more

I was on vacation in Ocean Springs and needed a pedicure. This place was close to my house and the prices seemed reasonable. The lovely lady who did my nails was very attentive, friendly, and took her time doing the service (in a good way). She did a great job getting the dry skin off my heels and clipping a badly chipped nail. My feet look fabulous! The pedicure is also holding up really well. 10/10 do not recommend for SNS (dipping powdered) nails. This was the worst SNS I have had in 10 years, just sloppy. It was rushed. None of my nails are filed straight (I like them square and they are all noticeable crooked). None of the layers were even so there are bumps and bubbles or humps if you will on my nail which can actually cause cracking. They polished and grinded around the the powder by my cuticles but did so unevenly so it doesn't follow the curve of my cuticles and is very crooked. They also destroyed like 3 cuticles, I bled. The staff was nice and the place is clean but the they need a lot more training before they charge $45 for nails. I could've done these better with no experience if I took my time. I also called ahead for prices ($40 for SNS in natural nail/$45 if tips are required). I did not get tips and was still charged $45. I will likely never return to this salon for nails again. read more

Had both of my daughters with me and called ahead so they could see all of us, service was fast yet thorough. I had acrylic nails put on and a gel nail polish as well as a pedicure. All were fantastic! My youngest had a simple mani pedi and was thrilled at the elementary size chairs that were just her size. My oldest got a gel polish manicure and was very happy with her end result! When visiting in the future I'd highly recommend. Safe part of town and easy parking are delightful! read more

I stopped in to get a dip-powder manicure. My technician was clearly not very experienced in powder manicures. She accidentally used the wrong products, and after her mistake was pointed out to her, she opted to file down the "mistake" layers rather than soaking them off and starting again. Later, when she finally applied a gel top coat, the gel didn't cure properly and I was left with super thick​ nails with a dull finish. All told my nails took over 2.5 hours to do, and I was charged full price ($55!). Easily the worst service I have had at any nail salon. read more

I'm so displeased with the experience I had with this nail salon today. I called 2 days in advance to make an appointment for today. The point of making an appointment somewhere is to not have to wait that long to be helped. I showed up at 12:20pm and was told they were short staffed and it would be an hour before I could be helped. I wouldn't have minded waiting an hour longer due to short staff BUT then the only technician that could do my nails came over to tell me that I needed to wait until AFTER her 2 clients were taken care of (who aren't even in the building) is absolutely 100% not okay! They may have excellent nail skills but I will NEVER step foot in this place every again due to this customer service experience. I have lived here most of my life and I have never found better service than BCBC! Ivy did my nails with immaculate precision, she took her time and made sure I was happy. This is probably the best set I've had in years! I'm so please!! I went with this newer kind of colors called cat eyes. They use a magnet to bring sparkly particles to the center to give the nail dimension and I just think they look so great! I won't be using anyone else but Ivy from now on! A+++ read more

I came in and asked for a pedicure and I wanted to get my nails done, pedicure went well, got set for my nails and after trimming and all they informed me that only 1 person in the whole shop does acrylics and she refused to let me wait for her so I had to pay $16 (not including my pedicure) just for them to trim my nails..... needless to say I am very disappointed. read more

I am only giving a bad review due to a bad technician. When calling to book the appointment I asked for a manicure and pedicure. When we arrived they said no appointment was made - already red flag. They assigned an older woman to me who did not do a full pedicure or manicure. She never asked what type of pedicure I wanted (they have different packages). All she did was push back cuticles and did not do any maintenance. She was done with both a mani and pedi in under 35 minutes. I even got dip nails to throw it in perspective. There is nail polish all over my skin and it looks very unprofessional. I asked if she could please cut my cuticles and she said it was too late so she couldn't do it. Please make sure you do not get this older woman when going in for your appointment. Overall, I would consider going to another nail salon in the area. Will not be returning. read more

The one time I got a HORRIBLE acrylic job done in Gulfport, I immediately went to BCBC after and they removed them (took an hour) and only charged me $10. Nice people. Perfect location. TERRIBLE, very disappointed. I went for dip with simple design and a pedicure; needless to say I DID NOT get a pedicure I was so perturbed. I had the older lady and thought it would be super easy. I had a picture of exactly what I wanted, but it was the most difficult process. It would've been easier to get my three-year-old niece to do it. So first of all she didn't like the color I picked and kept saying no to get the other, so I went with it. Then I showed her the length I wanted my nails, she cut the first one right and then the rest of the hand wayy shorter so I had to make her redo them. Then she totally did not understand the picture (literally a simple V at the bottom) I had to get another girl to come over THREE different times to tell her the same thing, and then when she finally did it she still didn't do it like the picture! It looked terrible, she used a fat brush to do a straight line which of course ended up chunky and only did it at the tip of my nail. Wrong again, so I was so tired of arguing with her and pointing at the picture I ended up with a shiny color that was supposed to only be a small V at the bottom of my nail. So now I paid $40 (and I left a five dollar tip even though I really didn't want to) and I have to go pay another technician at another place to fix it. Worst experience ever and I go at least once a month. I wanted to try it because it was rated good, and not even 5 minutes from my house. A road is closed to my normal nail place, so it takes at least 30 minutes which I am now more thanhappy to drive. read more

I walked in yesterday 12/26/2018 with my daughter and two nieces expecting to get our nails done. The young lady that walked to the door asked us what services we were getting done & caught an attitude after we told her. She took a deep breathe and walked away like she didn't want to serve us, so after the girls and I decided that we no longer wanted to spend our money there we politely walked out. We went elsewhere with better customer service. What was crazy is I didn't notice until after we left that the name of this place changed from BCBC to Purelux so I guess it's under new management or something. Either way I had given this place waaaaaaaay too much credit before yesterday needless to say that I will NOT be going back. I do not recommend!!! read more
