I'm familiar with this area but had never stopped in here before. I have been looking for some sort…read moreof gel eye treatment as creams tend to not work with me due to milia forming. I was going to a nearby store but had time so I stopped in and was greeted right away. I let them know I was just looking and would be interested in finding an eye gel. The sales associate showed me an eye cream which I was already hesitant about and let her know why after she questioned me when I said creams don't generally work well with my skin. I was then asked what my current skincare routine is and I let her know that I am currently on a prescription topical and use a moisturizer. I mentioned I sometimes will use a hydrating toner prior to applying my topical. She then explained how important toner is and continued to apply all steps of skincare to my hand. After she finished, I let her know that I was again just looking for an eye gel as my dermatologist is currently recommending to not have many products at this time, including toner. The sales associates then proceeded to say "I don't know what dermatologist you go to but mine always says to use toner." I asked again if they had any eye gels and she said no. It was very obvious her attitude shifted when I let her know I was only looking for something specific. Not sure if I will come back or not. :(

The associate who helped me was very nice which is one of the reasons why I prefer Ulta Beauty! The store was very clean and well organized. Plenty of stock on the shelves. Parking is plentiful in the lot. It's located between my favorite stores...Ross & Marshall's! ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

This review is for the manager Mary and a very negligent and apparently ego fragile stylist…read more"Andrea." First of all, I have never seen a more cowardly act by a manager in my 59 years on this planet. My wife who has for years been a customer at this establishment mainly getting her hair colored by an amazing stylist named Milan. For years she has paid to get a hair coloring without experiencing any issues with Milan and on a few occasions other stylists. On the day of the incident she had to settle for a stylist named Andrea because Milan was not available that day. Never having any bad experiences, she thought what the heck and gave her a chance. However, this would not be the case with Andrea, she was unprofessional and actually harmed my wife with her negligence and an unwillingness to listen to the customer's needs. She repeatedly claimed the way Milan whom has successfully colored her hair for years was doing it incorrectly! Andrea and her flawed ego failed the number one ethos in customer service "listen to your customer." She left her with chemicals in her hair way too long and was negligent in her attention to the process. My wife was so upset when she came home with an incomplete hair coloring and burns because of the chemicals left on her head by Andrea. My wife has always rewarded great customer service with great tips and verbal praise. I ask this question: Why for the first time over all the years of being a regular customer was there all of these issues with this stylist? At the moment this was happening our cowardly manager Mary "claimed she understood why my wife was upset and claimed she was out of practice but could possibly help." My wife did decide to leave to mitigate the damage as she was upset and experiencing burns. Weeks later she decided to try to book her regular stylist Milan only to be told that the Ulta manager Mary is banning my wife from coming back even to her regularly scheduled stylist Milan, and stating "Andrea's confidence was shaken by the event" which by the way Andrea caused herself with her ego and negligence!! WTF?? Mary, it is called remedial training in the corporate world and I am not sure that your manager handbook says to ban longtime, loyal paying customers from coming back. I am certain that is probably not what the store owner or corporate Ulta envision as an appropriate course of action or solution to the incident. My wife is a very understanding person and the fact that there has never been an issue over the many years until this incident with Andrea suggests the problem is not with the customer but perhaps with your employee. I am writing this review on my own experience based on what I saw and the incredibly inappropriate decision to ban my wife from her normal stylist Milan. Mary your decision to ban her is a big mistake on your part and I can guarantee you this is not where it ends. I will be diligent in ensuring I have this discussion with whatever form of leadership above you. I am retired with 36 years of service in the United States Military that has nothing but time and motivation to ensure your bad management decisions are held accountable. My wife has no idea that I am writing this review but I do know she is upset and angered by your cowardly management practices and would rather have seen you make the appropriate decision to discuss the situation with her like a rational and competent manager would in order to solve the problem. Respectfully, Daniel Dizacomo

This place is a hidden gem of mine and it's a local store that many may not know of unless you live…read morenear the area or happen to just be strolling by there. I love Purebeauty, since they had a store in the southwest part of town, but sadly they closed that store a few years back. They have multiple locations in CA, but this is the only store standing in Las Vegas and it's located in the District at Green Valley Ranch right across The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. They offer a wide variety of professional beauty products and salon services for hair and skin. Who doesn't love a sale?!?! So I went to check out their end of summer up to 75% sale. They had many things from skincare products to flat irons, hair products, and nail products on sale. I once bought a flat iron and curling iron 75% off at their SW store and it was originally $300 each!! I also bought TONS of makeup and nail polish at clearance price too!! It was a glorious day for me... I left the store with two bags full of products that would have costs me an arm and a leg. They have great sales here especially the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas. I recently went there for a particular nail polish, which a nice sales lady helped me find. I also asked about concealers for blemishes, since well I have acne skin and it's been a life-long battle for me to cope with. The nice sales lady was actually one of the managers there named Geneva. She showed me some products that she felt I could benefit from and did a color test on my skin to see which matched. I'm very happy with the product she introduced to me.. it's called Acne Concealer Light by Murad ($21).. it's like a concealer stick that you twist to move it up. I use this first then put mineral foundation on and it's the perfect color match, which is rare since my skin is quite hard to match up. Helps heal my present acne and past while concealing the redness at the same time. Love love love this product!! Geneva was attentive and listened to what I needed. She even told me she has a foundation that she never used, since it was too light for her skin and it would be perfect for my skin. She told me if I could come by the next day to pick it up if I wanted it. Very thoughtful and caring. She also gave me a complimentary makeup brush to use for my concealer and threw in the nail polish too, which I originally came to get. I also bought an under eye concealer by Jane Iredale, since I ran out... She showed me a way to conceal without using so much, which when I bought it at a trade show never showed me this way. I appreciate her going out of her way to tell me about everything she felt would help or benefit my skincare/makeup needs. Even when I went back to return an item and I accidentally threw away the box that came with it. There wasn't any hassle at all, very friendly, and thanked me still for stopping by. Wow... Great feeling. You can sign up for their VIP Program and receive 10% off each time you shop there... also enjoy other exclusive VIP discounts, promotions, and events. The card is currently $9.95 (reg. $20) and you get a free OPI Maintenance Nail Envy (reg. $16.95). It's a great deal if you love beauty and hair products :) Right now they have a Pre-Holiday Clearance Sale that's 50% mostly on hair and nail products. Afterwards, you can get a quick bite to eat or drink some coffee at Coffee Bean or catch some fresh air by walking the District... one of my favorite things to do.
