I also have blond, barely-there and thinning eyebrows and although I was extremely nervous, she gave me great brows - exactly how I personally wanted them - Not too angular and extreme. She really takes the time to do everything tailored to you. They last a while too as I am just booking my first touch up almost 2 years later. I would not go anywhere else.

I scheduled meeting Mary for a consult several months ago. I just finished my 6 week touch up appointment and couldn't be happier with the results. Mary is a skilled professional, she walked me through the options available, ultimately I went with an ombré dot rather than line microblading look, which was more in line with what I wanted as an end result. She checked with me for shape and color, it was a collaboration and very reassuring. Measurements were carefully taken and a good amount of time getting numb and check ins to make sure I remained numb for my comfort were appreciated. I loved the results so much I went back for a brow tint a few weeks later and now have become a lash client. I highly recommend the salon to all of my friends & family. This is where you want to go for expert, professional work.

UPDATE: I'm now four months out from my appointments, and my five-star review stands…read more During my first appointment, Ashley used the hair stroke method (creates the illusion of individual hairs) on most of my brows, and the powder fill method (solid color) on the ends of my brows. Unfortunately, because I have large pores and oily skin, the color didn't take that well and my skin didn't hang on to the beautiful single-hair definition. Over the weeks in between my two appointments the color and definition faded as the skin shedded. I knew from doing research online ahead of time that this was likely to happen; oily skin and large pores will not retain the fine strokes as well as other skin types. You must go into your microblading appointment with the understanding that because not one skin type is the same, everyone will have different ink retention. Poor ink retention is caused by skin type or poor adherence to aftercare. Based on this, Ashley used only powder fill for my touch up. She also suggested going with ink one shade darker than my initial appointment. Powder fill is absolutely the way to go for oily skin. The ink barely faded and the shape is great. After my touch up appointment I went out on a limb and deviated from the standard care instructions that I had followed after my first session. Instead of using barrier cream and dry healing, I washed my whole face as usual with my normal mild cleanser starting the day of my appointment. I believe this may have contributed to why the powder fill ink retention was so successful; I never had oil hanging out on my brow area pushing the ink out of my skin. This was a risk I took that could have gone sideways, but thankfully it worked out. Please don't follow my example because it may not work for you. ------------------------------------------------ Trust your brows with Ashley. I had consultations with other microblading technicians in the Albany area and I chose Urbane over all of them by a long shot. I had high expectations and Ashley exceeded all of them. I went to her with very, very sparse brows, and I left with natural looking brows that suit my facial features and bone structure. The work that Ashley did is indistinguishable from my real hair; her work is that good. Do research online about what to expect during and after microblading. Go to your appointment with photographs of your desired shape and color, and do trust Ashley's feedback and suggestions about shape and color. She has a very good eye. Follow the aftercare instructions perfectly.

She made me feel really comfortable the whole time and I would not hesitate to return to her. This day, I had my rook pierced (ear cartilage) and it was so quick and easy. I also requested that she change and replace the jewelry in my tragus (another ear piercing). Once she called me in, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. She is the master piercer here and you could tell she knew what she was doing. The major difference between her and other places, is she will use beautiful starter jewelry. The curved bar she put in my newly pierced rook was a double ended prong gem and I was so excited and I am so pleased. Most places will use a standard barbell and you have to settle with that until it's healed and you can return to have it changed. Since she pierced with this, I am set for years. She also put a beautiful gem in my tragus. I think this is the best place to get pierced in Albany.
