I've never had an experience with Purolator before so I was unsure as to how it would be. They "attempted delivery" and when I asked if they could attempt again they said tomorrow. I can't pick it up tomorrow. I need it today, it's a stroller so I can put my daughter in it and run errands . I don't drive and they expect me to go and pick up a 32 lb package? I'm am disappointed and won't be using Purolator and any companies that use them I won't order from. read more

They are the most unprofessional and incompetent service I've ever used, and I used to work in a busy office some know what courier services can do. The drivers, I guess, because the staff in their stores "have no control" over what happens , just get to pick and choose what packages they deliver. If they don't want to deliver it they just keep making up excuses on the tracking page as to why it wasn't delivered. Apparently, there are no repercussions for them either because this problem has been going on for over a year now, for me anyway, and NOTHING has been done about it?? Why not?? Ok I understand that Christmas is a busy time , but that's NO excuse for time fulfillment that I have paid good money for.. Edmonton has a excessive volume of parcels , as everywhere else and they for some reason can't get their act together to have parcels delivered as promised. It's not even roads or weather related. It's poor management on their preparation of a busy time. Late deliveries are not updated !!! And now I'm in limbo for when..... Last week we ordered dishwasher soap and supplies from Miele. The order was over $50, so shipping was free. This morning (Sunday) I found a Purolator notice laying under the snow on my sidewalk. The notice states that they had tried to deliver our package on the 8th, and now we have to go in to Edmonton and pick up our Miele supplies. First of all, I was home on the 8th, and I never heard the doorbell. Secondly, the notice was not on the door or in the mailbox, it was on the ground under snow, 10 feet from our door. Lastly, it is soap, so it would have been fine to leave it on our doorstep, just like FedEx does all the time for us. Driving to this Purolator facility is a 40 minute drive each way. We don't live in Edmonton, yet they make us drive there instead of having a pick-up location here in Beaumont. Driving to Edmonton for dish soap, is inconvenient and not worth our while. I have had nothing but trouble with Purolator in the past, and even with free shipping, it is not worth my while to use them, nor will I whenever given the choice. Come to think of it, I won't use them even if I have no choice. Ultimately, I would rather pay for decent shipping from another company that has a local pick-up location, as opposed to using Purolator who has given us such poor service in the past. read more

I order my prescription medication online, from Ontario to Edmonton. I order this medication frequently on a monthly basis. Since beginning this treatment and having medication delivered the company that I go through chooses to use Purolator as their delivery option. Every single time I choose one day delivery and it ends up taking Purolator 3 to 5 business days from leaving the facility in Ontario to make it to Edmonton! One time Purolator lost my package delivered it to the wrong address and refused to take responsibility for the package leaving me out of $200. It didn't matter who I spoke to about the incident nobody seem to care, and I was left without my prescription and out $200. Every time I call Purolator and speak to a customer service representative all I get in return is attitude, poor service, and frustration! It doesn't matter who I speak to you I feel undervalued as a customer and unappreciated. I have asked my provider if there is another delivery company that I could use and unfortunately the only one that they choose to use is Purolator despite my continuous calls of complaint about Purolator. Because of Purolator I will be switching producers and it's unfortunate that I must change my means of medication and they must lose a customer based on the actions and service of a well-known and reputable company such as Purolator. It is ridiculous and uncalled for. If I had an option to give them less than one star I totally would. Shame on you Purolator! read more

This is by far the worst delivery company I have ever used. The driver missed my name AND apartment number on the buzzer panel; NEVER called to inquire/ask to be let in; finally called a week later to tell me I could pick up my items as soon as I called them. No one ever answered the phone, I left 3 voicemails and made attempts to pick it up in person, yet after 5 days they sent it back. To top it off they were extremely rude and unhelpful when I called customer service to inquire about my 'undeliverable' package. read more

Hands down the worst shipping company i have ever dealt with, rude customer service on two occasions. Also don't expect shipping on the day you think, add at least 2 days to that. Nothing but excuses from this company, hope i can save someone the headache. read more

Being a company, we would hope for a better service when dealing with Purolator, more often than not this is not the case. Wednesday March 8 at 1:20 in the afternoon I had set up a package ship out for some important documents to be sent to a customer to register their vehicle in a different province. Once the shipment had been placed online I wanted to confirm with Purolator that they had received this package pick up, after not being able to see this on their system for 15 min, it was found and I was assured by the customer service representative that it would arrive to the destination by Thursday March 9 by 9am. Thursday,after being unable to track the shipment, I was contacted by the customer to be told the package still had not arrived by 4:00 pm their time. Other staff members had contacted Purolator at this point so we could track down the document/package, it was not able to be found at either the Edmonton or Ontario warehouse. My General Manager then contacted them to further discuss this matter and was told a case had been created and they would phone back as soon as the document was found. Finally it was 6:00 pm with still no word from them so I then proceeded to call customer service once more to let them know how unhappy our company, as well as the customer was. I found out at this point our company was given the wrong case number, which was the last thing we wanted to hear. I was told once again I would be called ASAP once the matter was looked into and that the case had now been updated to a priority, I was disappointed it was only now being upgraded to priority. Finally at 7:00pm I was phoned once more to be told they were still unable to find the document, once this was found they would call to let me know. I stated I was to leave work at 7:30 and if not contacted by this point they would call first thing Friday March 10 to further discuss the matter. It was now Friday at 9:00 am when finally Purolator contacted my coworker letting them know the package was found and should arrive by the afternoon to the customer. My General Manager was not very happy and asked to speak to them, was told it was due to poor weather that it had not arrived from the airport. He had personally spoken to the customer and was told the weather was beautiful Thursday and thought this was strange. I am sorely disappointed when I came into work in the late morning that I had to phone once more to ask how we could be compensated for the issue, after another 20 minute phone call I was told we could be refunded for this package delivery and felt my complaints were not taken very seriously by the customer service manager I had spoken to. Our company will not be using Purolator for overnight shipping any longer as this is not the first time this has happened with important documents, we are more than willing to pay extra cost with another company to ensure our important documents arrive in a timely manner. I feel horrible for our customer who took a day off of work, and who will now not be able to insure his vehicle until Monday due to this issue. We do not recommend using Purolator if you would like to have something arrive quickly. read more

Purolator tried to deliver a package to my house on August 29. No one was home so they left the tag which stated we could pick it up on August 30 at the St.Albert location. (we live in St.Albert). When I went to pick it up it was no there. The clerk had to phone customer service to try and track it, then told me it was brought to the Edmonton location. I could go and get it there or they could try and deliver on September 3. WTF I have to wait 4 more days because your driver is an idiot. NEVER use Purolator. The Customer service was not at all helpful. read more

I live on an acreage 20 minutes outside of the city, I ordered a package on Dec. 27, 2013. It was "shipped" on Dec. 30, 2013. Jan.14, 2014 and I still have no package after multiply phone calls, live chats and offering to pick it up ourselves from a pick location. The package was delayed by weather on 4 separate days, it was damaged and had to be repackage delaying it another day, not to mention it apparently had the wrong address 3 times, even though it was the correct address. When we called and said that we could pick it up, they agreed and guaranteed us that it was not to be put on the truck. When we phoned to pick it up, they told us that it had been put on the truck, and would be delivered by the night. It wasn't (apparently a wrong address). We called again they said they would make note and it would be delivered the Monday after the weekend. Monday evening, no package because of the weather, a live chat ensured Tuesday there would be a package at my door. The truck broke down on the way to deliver the package to my house. 16 days to deliver a package 20 minutes is ridiculous. read more
