I absolutely hate giving bad reviews, but in this case I felt others should know about our experience with this cat boarding facility. We had a family emergency and needed to board our 6 month old kitten quickly for two nights. We found out later that this pet sitter did not follow our feeding instructions/schedule and our cat did not eat for one day while there. I am baffled why we wouldn't get a call before feeding him differently or told he did not eat for a day when we picked him up. When our cat started to vomit, we called to see if he vomited while being boarded (we were told no). That was when we were told she fed him more than we instructed and then he didn't eat for a day. She did apologize for not following our instructions. While I do not think the vomiting is related to boarding here, and I do think this pet sitter cares about the cats, I advise to make sure she will follow your feeding/care instructions. I, unfortunately, have lost trust so will not be using this pet sitter again. read more

This review is only for boarding. We boarded our cats for 9 days, and I was looking for a more personalized and quiet experience since my two cats get very nervous at bigger boarding facilities. I did appreciate the quieter atmosphere and the large, private space my cats got for the time. Debra was also good about sending photos and updates. But I had two big problems which is why I won't be coming back. The first is I was not told until I was at her front door that I could not come in the house to let my cats out of their carriers, or physically see the space they'd be in. It was very upsetting to me at the moment because I wanted to be the one to open their carriers, see the space, and give them some comfort before I left, as it stressful for me as well being away from my pets. Debra expected me to trust her based off glowing reviews and her other, affluent clientele, which is a big ask for someone I've never met. It felt like she got defensive quickly, which made for an uncomfortable first meeting. I understand her reason for not wanting people in the house, I just wish she had communicated that beforehand, because her defensiveness/attitude left a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. The second reason is she did not follow the feeding schedule I asked her to. She prefers free feeding of kibble, and asked if it was okay to do it the first night to make them comfortable, I agreed but then she went ahead and did it the whole time - I know because a picture she sent as a update had a bowl full of kibble in the background, and my cats came back heavier and one of them had diarrhea (something he gets from eating too much kibble). The last, small third is she charges sales tax, which is an odd thing to add when all I paid for were services. Other boarding facilities don't do it, but I'm also not an accountant. read more

We have four different cats that she has shaved for us. She is very professional does an excellent job and the cats always looks so good and smell so great after a visit with her. Too bad there isn't a zero rating option here. If there were other options, I would give this place and its owner a negative zero. We had our cat boarded at this place. We strongly believe that our cat stayed in a small crate and was never let out during its entire stay (15 days) at this cat boarding place. Of course, we have no way of knowing what really happened, except for a few things. We had observed our cat being very distant and almost didn't want to get out of her room for several days. The other thing is that every time our cat sees her pet carrier, she will scurry away and hide underneath a bed. Another dead giveaway was that she never showed us the exact location in her home where she puts the cats to stay for 15 days. Please stay away from this place. My cat is very happy with her spa day. I am very happy with the results. They cleaned her up with care, shaved her belly, as requested. Sent Me a picture of her teeth tarter and asked if I wanted that removed. I wasn't sure my cat would be ok with it, but things turned out fine. When she came home she wenT around smelling everything and checking the place out. Like it was her first time here and if it was good enough for her. My almost-geriatrics kitty (11yo, so maybe I'm exaggerating, more middle-aged I guess) was in dire need of attention from a professional cat shearer. I have been a client of Deb's for a few years now. Even though I have moved down to The City, I can not seem to find a groomer close to her caliber. She is very meticulous and professional. Every time I bring in my furry kiddos, they look like they received the royal kitty treatment with a nice bath and cute lion cut that was trimmed with precision. We only had our kitten Maddie for 3 weeks when we had to go out of town for two weeks. So we researched boarding options. Our elderly cat, Herman, recently suffered a cardiac setback that has left him frail and much less active than before. When we have to travel, he can no longer be left at home alone to be looked in on and and fed by a cat caregiver only once a day. We are committed to a cruise in March 2016, and so must find full-time care. Our vet's tech recommended Purr Erze, and we decided to leave town for a week and have a try out to see how boarding would work, and to acclimatize him for our longer trip in March. We boarded Herman at Purr Erze, and it worked out extremely well. Debra and Jamie are very sensitive and caring, and very tuned into and attentive to an elderly cat's needs. We received daily text reports on his physical condition and his acceptance of his new surroundings. The facilities are immaculate, and not at all "institutional", but homey and cozy. The environment is cage-free with "guests" kept in a cat room equipped with feline-friendly furnishings. Herman received exceptional attention, and we, frequent reassurances of his well-being. We will go on our cruise in March, and on other trips with peace-of-mind, knowing that old Herman is in the capable hands of cat loving, cat savy, sensitive people. read more

It's very hard to trust somebody else to groom your pet, but we have complete faith in Deb. Finding Deb to groom our Mimi Snowshoe Birman is a great joy and relief! I hadn't taken Mimi for proper grooming for some time so she really needed a pros work...and she got much more care than I every thought possible for cat grooming. Deb is extremely knowledgeable about cats so the full treatment included teeth scaling, anal gland expression (which I just learned about as necessary for a cat's health), a rear shave, nail trim, a bath and a very professional attractive trim and brush out.
