We love Park-a-Pup! My husband and I have been sending my dog here for boarding/daycare since they opened. Park-a-Pup has great prices. Our dog always comes home happy and tired from playing with the other dogs. I love that he gets so much exercise and socialization! He's really well taken care of here. He even had a medical issue once during boarding. Park-a-Pup immediately called us to notify us, and we came back early from our trip to take him to the vet. If they hadn't been so prompt, he may not have survived. We'll be happy customers of Park-a-Pup as long as our dog is alive! read more

The staff there is wonderful and very caring. They are exceptional. We've never worried. Recently Katie stayed and became ill. Jamie, April, Max and Paul were on board and gave Katie amazing attention which led her to the Pet Hospital. They went beyond and treated Katie like their own pet. We are so grateful for all they do. The staff was competent & communicative, they checked in around noon to let me know how my pups trial day was going. The building was well maintained, clean & welcoming. For the negative, outside the property, & parking lot bordering the facility was dirty, & littered today & a waste disposal next door. Our dog has been going to Park A Pup since we adopted him four years ago. First San Rafael, and now Novato. The times we have needed to board him, he happily gets into the car when he sees his ready bag with his food, blanket, and favorite toys - he knows where he's going. We get daily pictures and he's always giving his best doggy smile and surrounded by doggy friends - he's a very social guy. Now they've added grooming services which is wonderful for all of us. I'm disabled and spending lots of money for a mobile groomer but now he gets it all there - great looking after by their staff, grooming, socialization, and they know him every time we walk through the door. I recommend them to every dog parent I know. read more

Very friendly staff at the front desk. Very clear directions to get pup enrolled. Our dog clearly loved going. She did her trial day, and then boarded for a week. It was clear she loved it. She was in great shape when we picked her up. The only thing I noticed which made me think twice was that as I watched several staff enter and exit from the hallway door, they never said hello or good ye to the front desk, never looked up to say hello or acknowledge any of the customers in the lobby. It gave me paws (sorry, can't help the pun)- being an HR professional, it gave me pause. Otherwise, a wonderful place and I would feel more than comfortable taking our dog there again! read more

Our 10 month old Aussie Shep had a wonderful, fun day in doggie daycare today. The staff are professional, informative, efficient, very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and a safe place to have your dog play without any concerns. We got an update mid-day on how our pup was doing. The staff was incredible. They were expecting us for the trial, and welcomed us the second we walked through the doors. They texted me mid day to provide an update and then sent me a ton of amazing photos via the "report card". I cannot wait to send my pup back for daycare. She clearly had an absolute blast and it's largely because of the attentive and warm staff. The facilities are also very clean and well kept. Our dog seems to enjoy her time during her visits there. Always seem appropriately staffed. Drop off and pick up is easy and seamless.

We have been using the Park a Pup mostly in San Rafael, but the last couple of times we tried the Novato location..... Same five star treatment from the second I placed the phone call to make the reservation- all the way to picking up our happy pup Simba! He is a skittish guy generally but always appears comfortable with all of the staff, ( who clearly love dogs!) Very affordable also!! Highly recommend both locations!! read more

Given my the smile on her face and the curled tailed, I'm gonna say she thoroughly enjoyed her registration day at Park-a-Pup! Mira is our 7 month old Pomsky. She went to Park-a-Pup to become established at a doggy daycare in the event her at home sitter is unavailable. The front desk staff is very welcoming, they called me with a mid-day update, fed Mira her food from home and provided me with photos. We usually take our little pup Ruby to doggie daycare at their San Rafael location because it's so much closer, but this is like the Ritz compared to the other location (which isn't bad, just in an older warehouse and a lot smaller). Anyway, we had an 8 day trip to Montana so we wanted to book her at this beautiful and huge new location they have in Novato. We did a couple day-care days here, she came home happy and tired and this made it a lot easier for her when we dropped her off for her longest boarding stay yet - and she's not quite a year so needless to say we felt a little bad leaving her, but knew she'd be in good hands and with tons of friends. This facility is really great, the online portal per usual is a great way to see photos and a report card - which they send periodically, I don't need or want a daily one, but just a FYI if that's what you're expecting. Also, the rates are reasonable, you can leave a bed or toys for the boarding stays and Ruby has her staff buddies that work at both locations so she was a happy pup. When we picked her up she was freshly bathed and pretty much slept the entire day...and half-way into the next, a sign of a good time! read more

My dog, Ollie came back and he wouldn't eat his pills or anything. he kept throwing up and wouldn't eat a single bite of food. Another time, they lost all of my dogs stuff and gave it back a week later. And lastly another time I asked the person at the front desk to clip my dogs nails, but they never did. It sounds awful dropping my puppies off. There is barking in ever direction. whimpers and yelps. It makes me regret bringing them there in the first place. read more

My little miniature dachshund, Daisy, has been to Park-A-Pup twice now. I'm trying to take her every few weeks so she gets used to it before she has a long stay there while we are on vacation. The facility is new and clean. The staff is friendly. I like that you can add on services while your pup is there (ie. Nail trims). I love that there is a separate area for big dogs and small dogs. The report card with pictures is great. The one improvement they could make would be live webcams so I can view my pup throughout the day, especially when she stays there for an extended period of time. I'm sure all pet parents would appreciate this. If they added this, it would easily get a 5 star rating from me. read more

My Loki is almost 4 yrs old. He has been going to park a pup since he was a puppy. It is the only place I leave him. I use both locations. I love the staff and I know Loki loves it there. I have never had any issues. Staff also entertains my own separation anxiety. When Loki is there for a week or longer, I call to check up on him. Staff will also send me pics at my request. Let me say that I think their daycare service sounds great. But when I needed a place to board my 2 dogs over night, I looked around. I found someone who cares for dogs in her home who was about 2x the cost of Park-A-Pup. Being on a budget I was tempted to go with Park-A-Pup and made an appointment for a trial day. When I told the person who does it in her own home my plan, she warned me to ask if they have a human on the premises over-night at park-a-pup, in case of emergency. So, I called and asked Park-A-Pup and they told me "No we don't, they are secured inside at night". This just does not seem safe to me. I may still consider Park-A-Pup for daycare but leaving all of those dogs alone all night seems like a recipe for something bad to happen eventually. I don't want to take that chance on my dogs. I would rather not go on vacation that put them in any danger at all. read more

At first, after being quarantined with us for over a year he was hesitant to leave us but now gallops to the door! I love how staff know him by name and let him be a Jackie.
