DO NOT GO HERE!!! They don't even deserve a star. I received second degree burns on my eye brows from their wax being too hot. When I asked for a refund I was denied and called names. I asked to speak to a manager and was told she was too busy for me. I contacted their head office and they never responded to my complaint. TL;DR: Burned my friend's eyes with hot wax, and then screamed at her when she asked for a refund. My friend now has a weeping blister under both eyebrows. The wax was clearly WAY too hot and applied too far down under her brow bone, almost into the crease of her eyelid. She saw a doctor and asked another waxer for a second opinion, and they both confirmed that it is a bad burn. When you call Q Nails, they claim they don't do waxing -- probably because what they do wouldn't be called waxing by any other professional. "Maiming" or "injuring" might be a better word for it. When she called to ask to speak to a manager, she was told that the manager didn't have time to speak to her. When she went in person, they screamed at her, physically waved their hands in her face, and called her all kinds of profanity that I won't repeat in polite company. All she asked for was a refund. Just a reminder that in Alberta, there is no licensing required for waxing -- anyone off the street can start waxing without training or care.That's the only reason they can get away with injuring someone and then screaming at them. Hopefully that will change in the future, but until then, avoid this place like the plague. Get your nails done somewhere else and don't support businesses that injure and verbally assault their customers. read more

I have tried other nail places in the Fort and so far none compare. Most lack staff, wait times are high, and overall they are not friendly. Q Nails is always on the ball. I can generally be in and out in half an hr - 40 mins I've never had to wait more than 5 mins. Even when I just walk in for pedi/fill. Staff are great, and very friendly. The cost is pretty decent as well. They always get my business. read more

I went there yesterday to get a new set.. they don't even cover my entire nail, and they're not all the same shape/length. Got my nails done there yesterday with my best friend we both got gel nails I got tips and she got full-colour . The service was friendly and speedy we were only there for about 40 minutes. It's just the usual cultural barriers you face at most edm nail salons but worse. They tell you half an hr then you sit for an hour because they would rather mislead you and get your money. My friend and I had shellac manicures done and my friend was cut twice to bleeding. No apologies. My colour was completely different from the one selected and told her twice. The third time saying why are you still painting them it's completely wrong and not even close to the selected colour. She shoved my hand in the setting light and that was that. I went to Q-nails after a not so great experience at Vo's Nails. The service was friendly and quick and the girl who did my nails did a good job. Although I wasn't super impressed with their selection in solid colours for bio gel, I will definitely be going back there! Horrible. I went and got a fill there a few days ago and the nail polish is peeling like crazy and bubbly. They call themselves nail techs and they can't even put nail polish on properly LOL. if you want your nails to actually look good for more then a day I recommend not going there. Had a pedicure last week and I wasn't impressed. Within 8 hours one nail was off and the next day another came off. I have never had this happen in the history of getting pedicures and I have been getting them for years. Usually they grow out and I'm fed up with the colour lasting so long. The tools weren't sterilized between appointments and I now have a red bump forming on my big toe. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend anyone else going there either. read more

If you would like nail fungus please choose here. Worst experience ever. Came back to have my gel nails removed after experiencing pain. They started cutting into my nail without telling me what they were doing. Now my thumb nail is 50% gone, bloody and is sure to get infected. They are not professionals and choose to hack of my finger instead of giving advice to see doctor or ointment. Would never wish this upon anyone. Ps tried to get ahold of manager apparently one does not exist.
