The pimento cheese here is probably the best I've ever had, but I will admit that I have not had many (I tend to not like it). In fact, both these items stay on my mind enough that I do think about coming here more often than I thought I would. And this is just for the apps. The rest of the entrees are pretty standard. Some better than others, but that's due to preference. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but I do prefer their chicken to some of the other menu items. For their sides, I haven't seen or heard of some of them. I asked about them, and they were described p well, enough for me to not want to try congealed salad. I'm not a big fan of jello type things, but I did try the pear salad. Not for me. Absolutely not for me. I did really enjoy the collard green soup and sweet potato souffle though! They were great, esp the souffle. It was my first time having nuts in them, and I loved it so much. Everything else was alright, like I'm sure you've had or can make better mac. It was super thin, grissly, and super tough to chew. For $48 a steak, you want it to have some thickness to it and be tender, not like chewing leather. It was so tough to chew but I muddled through it and ate it because I wasn't going to sent it back to the kitchen for a reattempt for another steak to go to waste. The Mac and cheese was decent and so were the Brussels. I do let my server know so she would have the feedback and she recommended the NY Strip next time. Now...going back to the service. Even though the food is a little disappointing, the service and attention is excellent. I would come here again just to have Presley serve me. I like that this place pours the wine and not ask you 3, 6, or 9 oz pour just so the house can make their money off one bottle of wine. Presley is a people person, attentive to her guests sitting at her bar, and a good leader. She has conversations with the people around the bar and makes them feel welcomed. In addition to it generally being basic. Not "dirt" but not clean feeling. A giant tile was missing from the ceiling directly over the toilet! Talk about feeling naked and like someone is spying on you! I couldn't wait to get out of there! It's clear that there is maintenance needed in the ceiling and that's why the tile is missing. But no good reason why they can't put a cloth cover or some kind of screen to cover the hole. It is entirely uncomfortable and unacceptable. Hopefully that issue will be fixed soon. And they will also take the time to upgrade the bathroom feeling - nice soap, luxurious paper hand towels, deep clean the floor and walls. Then the entire restaurant will be cohesive, elegant, sexy, cool.

Crab cakes, oyster Rockefeller, shrimp étouffée, creme brûlée, bread pudding, grilled shrimp plate and banana Forster were all 100% delicious. The green bean side was also delicious. I HIGHLY recommend and the drinks I ordered both times were very well made. I'll definitely be back and found a new spot for great food. And they even have live music on certain nights!
