The food was delicious and fresh. Dining area was spacious and clean. The workers were super nice and polite. Giving four stars because their bathroom doors didn't latch, the roofing was plain plywood throughout the entire dining area.

The place was a good vibe and unfortunately that's where the good stops. The meat was very bland. I was disappointed and surprised that they either use gas or propane there was no flavor here.

Not worth the stop I hate to say. No smoke taste in the pork and no outside, crispy bark on my plate. The texture makes me think it has defrosted or maybe just reheated. It is chopped too fine my taste. The stew doesn't cut it. It is like something out of a blender. No discernible meat and veggies, just a purée. The slaw is pretty good, fresh and not too sweet.

This place is gross! The fact that the other people were smakin the food down like it was amazing pissed me off lol! As a member of the seasoned food population if you catch my drift, I would not recommend if you look like me. The food was bland and it tasted like they only used pepper to season the ribs. The potatoes in the potato salad were undercooked & it was pickle flavored. The baked beans didn't taste done. The BBQ sauces weren't very good either. As a chef I would love to help them revamp their recipes! I can guarantee 5 stars every time for your customers.

I love all the Ga Bobs in middle Ga, but the one in Perry needs some help. We visited on a very slow week night, with the front counter help just standing around. 2 other families already seated and eating. Just the fact that these ladies had time to stand around, but no time to clean the bathroom make me question the cleanliness of the kitchen also. The food we ordered was plain at best. It wasn't terrible but it's not the usual Ga Bobs flavor either. Please do better Ga Bobs! Your food is usually so good! The other places are usually so clean. Why does Perry location have to be this awful?

Thanks Yelp referral and Check In 10% discount! We stopped after getting gas on a northbound commute. Nice eating area. It felt like a better local choice versus Sonny's BBQ (no offense to Sonny). I had the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato tots. My mom had the chicken breast and green beans. Mine was quite tasty. Her chicken was "a little dry but good with the mild bbq sauce." I love sweet tea, thank you to The South for inventing it! I will go back if I am ever passing back through Perry, Georgia.

Love the chicken salad . I pick up a container of the chicken salad nearly every week. The staff here is very warm and friendly. I met the owner today and he is also very nice. I made the mistake of going to the location on Russell last week to get my chicken salad. It was awful. The Perry location never fails. The owner also has the Dublin location. Thanks for the great service today

Good local Georgia BBQ. Pulled pork, half chicken, fried okra and baked beans were all very good with generous portions.

The foundation is still there with the rooms and decor but with lots of tables set up, similar to hosting a gathering at home. Not only that, everyone here was really friendly! We really felt welcomed, and though the second time, service wasn't as outstanding, it was still good. I think they really nailed down the vibe of southern hospitality. For drinks, they have seasonal cocktails, which I think is fun, but I'm not around at a time where I would be able to chill and drink. I end up with a go-to sweet tea. Strong and sweet, that it kept me up, but not the strongest nor sweetest I've had. There's also complimentary bread that's mini muffin shaped and dense like a biscuit. It's buttery and salty, but I like it! Before coming, I saw so many things about the sampler, so I definitely wanted to get it and try out. Love the fried green tomatoes with the honey mustard. It didn't feel oily, and it held up pretty well when cut and dipped into sauce. The pimento cheese here is probably the best I've ever had, but I will admit that I have not had many (I tend to not like it). In fact, both these items stay on my mind enough that I do think about coming here more often than I thought I would. And this is just for the apps. The rest of the entrees are pretty standard. Some better than others, but that's due to preference. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but I do prefer their chicken to some of the other menu items. For their sides, I haven't seen or heard of some of them. I asked about them, and they were described p well, enough for me to not want to try congealed salad. I'm not a big fan of jello type things, but I did try the pear salad. Not for me. Absolutely not for me. I did really enjoy the collard green soup and sweet potato souffle though! They were great, esp the souffle. It was my first time having nuts in them, and I loved it so much. Everything else was alright, like I'm sure you've had or can make better mac. Overall, I'm glad to know this place because it's a good rec for the area if you're in the mood for Southern food. It's not a bad pick for vegetarians either, though they would only have appetizers and sides to pick from, but I liked them more than the entrees. There's a parking lot, and it's in a good location to see the rest of downtown Perry too.

Disappointing, but I understand and quickly assessed my lunch options. We decided to order an appetizer and then split a lunch plate. For the appetizer we got the loaded fries, since they were hand cut as we were sitting there. Overall the loaded fries were okay. I think they went too heavy on the cheese and the other noticeable thing was that the cinnamon in the chili was a little stronger than I would have liked. For lunch it was a Big Sexy Burger which had a double burger, pimento cheese, bacon jam and maybe some other stuff. But those items mentioned sold me on trying it. My only criticism about the burger would be the pimento cheese, it seemed to be heavy on the mayo and not as much cheese, but overall a decent burger. I think the real star of the meal was the onion rings, I would definitely recommend these. Now that we tried their lunch, I am looking forward to trying their breakfast menu.

Three years, that's how long I've been driving past the giant billboards for Lane Southern Orchards…read moreon I-75 telling myself "one day we should stop there." Well, this past Saturday my husband and I finally did. The entire property felt like a scene straight out of a Southern postcard. Families were out picking strawberries in the patch, people were relaxing in rocking chairs on the porch with ice cream cones, the café was buzzing, and the roadside market was full of shoppers loading up on goodies. The place was busy but somehow still relaxing. We started in the roadside market where I immediately grabbed one of the little carts because self-control clearly wasn't part of the plan. I stocked up on fresh produce, preserves, ciders, wines, and somehow convinced myself I "needed" adorable wooden earrings from a local artisan. We sampled a few local wines and naturally left with several bottles. The market also has gifts, souvenirs, and and entire section dedicated to dogs/ furry pets. After shopping we headed next door to the café for dessert. They offer cobblers, cakes, pies, homemade ice cream, and enough sweet treats to make you abandon every diet plan you've ever created. My husband is a peach cobbler enthusiast, so ordering their famous peach cobbler was mandatory. According to him, it absolutely lived up to the hype. I went with the peach pound cake and it was moist, buttery, and delicious. Their breakfast and lunch menu also looked really good. If I were road-tripping through the area, this would absolutely be a stop for a meal. It's also definitely going on my list of places to take guests when they come visit Middle Georgia. What really tied everything together was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and full of genuine Southern hospitality. Needless to say, we won't wait another three years before stopping again.
