We had a birthday party for our son the floor manager was extremely unfriendly. We waited at the desk to get bowling shoes had to go and find her behind ticket counter for prizes. We got our shoes cool she's brings out our pizza and soda sets it down doesn't say s**t and walks away as my wife was gonna ask if we could order a pitcher of a different soda. Went to the bar she's behind it said can I get a pitcher of diet soda doesn't say anything then goes that will be price. This woman obviously needs to find a different place to work at horrible attitude had the demeanor of why are you bothering me but I work at a place that's deals with the public. This review is only for Frankies Bar & Grill inside the bowling alley. The bowling alley itself and the other stuff going on is a 4 or 5 stars. The food at Frankies is garbage, the pizza is fine, its not terrible, its not great, everything else is like eating school lunch food from 1992. If you wanna pay money to eat that then go ahead, but thats the food you're getting. The restaurant looks fairly nice, I dont know why the owner wouldnt have hired a chef that designed a really good restaurant that people would like to go to even if they werent bowling. I think probably 99% of their food sales are pizza. When you have a really nice bowling alley like this place with a pretty nice looking fun/family restaurant with it, its such a waste not to hire a good chef and let him/her design a great menu that is actually really good, not frozen low quality garbage food. Im just continually baffled by how the people that open restaurants in this area either only open chain restaurants or they have their own restaurant but its like they have no idea what modern food is, no interest in making really good food, no idea what food is thats actually made and prepared, not taken out of a freezer and put in a microwave. Visited QC FEC tonight and I have to say.. I am very disappointed, QC FEC has always been a great place to spend time with my siblings but tonight we weren't amused. We drove an hour to get here and spent $200 for the arcade only to find out that OVER HALF of the arcade games were either A. stealing our money and not working or B. Turned off for repairs.. this was a HUGE waste of our time and we most likely will not be returning. read more

We took the kids here early afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. The kids managed to have some fun, but of the 60 games there 15 were out of order. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating, but the kids got really frustrated when half of the games the walked up to were out of order. read more

This is a nice facility with a good variety of family friendly things to do, and the prices are reasonable. We ate at the restaurant and then bowled and then played some of the arcade games. Everything was clean and the staff was efficient and courteous. Some of the arcade games were in need of repair, but there were still a lot of things to do. read more

I came to QC Family Entertainment with my mom on a weekday afternoon recently, and we had a really great time. We came to bowl, and the alleys were clean and in good repair. The computerized scorekeeper was easy to use. The rental shoes weren't in the least bit gross. After our games, we played a few rounds of giant Connect 4 and ski-ball in the arcade, which was awesome. The machines don't accept money; instead you'll need to load your cash onto a card, which you then scan at the game you want to play. Any tickets you win will also show up on your arcade card. My one complaint is that QC Family Entertainment didn't honor the Yelp check-in deal listed on their page. The cashiers didn't know anything about it and were very apologetic that they couldn't help. I'm glad we visited QC Family Entertainment! Next time I'm in the mood to bowl, I will definitely come here. read more

My family and I drove 150+ miles to celebrate a family member's birthday. We decided on QC's. We were enjoying ourselves until we experienced prejudice behavior from a couple of employees. First (Icky) referred us as "these people", which was very offensive. I addressed the issue with Icky, and she just walked away. Second(Johnathan) threw the pen down for me to sign my credit card purchase, and laughed at Icky's behavior . Chatavia, apologized on their behalf however no one should have to be subjected to this type of "customer service" behavior. Definitely bad for business, we will never revisit. read more

The last time we went bowling was prior to covid beginning. Apparently you can't pay per a game anymore we paid $30 for a hour. Asked if they had the ball slides for kids apparently they don't anymore but they said they would put up the bumpers for whoever needs them. They put us on a lane that was currently out of order. They switched us lanes. Our time ran out on our 9th frame so they said they would add time and added 5 min. The last 2 people in our family didn't even get to finish the frame. So disappointed we paid $30 and we weren't even able to bowl a full game. For $30 I'd expect to able to bowl at least 1 FULL game. Families bowling with younger kids are just going to take longer. The staff wasn't eager to help. There was like 5 workers all standing around on cell phones and every time we had to ask a question it seemed like a inconvenience and they were annoyed. read more

We came in for my daughter's birthday party and were approached by the party planner. The party planner stated that they were no longer going to allowing walkin Birthday parties to bring in cake. I stated we weren't a walk in party that I had scheduled the party over a month ago. Luckily we came in earlier than our party or this would have been going down during the party time. We had to wait for our 4th lane to open and then the table wasn't cleaned off. We went then to order 2 more pizzas and the lady told me we couldn't order anymore. I said so we can't order anymore pizza. Are you out? She then had to go get permission for me to order 2 more pizzas. After this we went into the party room that they placed us in because they had messed up and my daughter opened presents. I had to go find them to find out when the kids could play Lazer tag during this time. To which I was told to let them know when we were ready. I gathered all of the kids and people waiting and were told they were next. In thie time I went to talk with the guy who was managing the place now as to why I couldn't get the game cards that were part of my package. They blamed my husband who was ticked off about how things had been handled to this point. My husband had to leave in order for the kids to get what I had paid for. He left and when I walked over thinking the kids would be done playing Lazer tag they hadn't started after 40 minutes to which I was told they could play their games on the cards that once they are swiped then start everyone's hour of play. They would then have lost 15 minutes of play time and I said that they wouldn't be doing this. Once they did start to play over half of the games were broken and didn't work. We won't be spending another dime in this establishment due to the way they guy runs the place. He willing to admit their mistakes and feels they are not in the wrong for any of this. Oh and by the way the last two pizzas I ordered were also the wrong kind. It is sad that a place treats people this way and that they admit it happens with their parties all the time. We went to QC Family Entertainment for a casual afternoon of bowling and really enjoyed ourselves. We didn't eat, although a server stopped by our lane periodically to see if we needed drinks or wanted to order anything, which was really nice. This alley offers the option to pay per person/per game, or to pay for a block of time. We chose to pay for an hour of bowling at a time and with two players, ran through 4.5 games per hour. A nearby family with four players was paying per player/per game and I kept thinking, if you have 4+ players, that's really the way to go. They played longer than we did and probably spent half as much. But we thought the prices were very fair (when we checked, they were available on the website). The facilities were clean, seemed fairly new, and everything operated smoothly. My only complaint is that the only seats available are stationary seats around a table. The chairs rotate a bit, but they couldn't be turned far enough in any direction to sit and easily watch the other players and there wasn't enough space between chair and table for my long legs to fit comfortably (for reference I'm 5'11"). Luckily, we were both capable of standing up the whole time we played, but I can see it being uncomfortable if you have more than 3+ players and longer breaks between turns, or if you wanted to eat while bowling. QC Family Entertainment is conveniently located near several restaurants, shopping, and easy to find from the highway. We'll probably go back, but because of the seating, will keep in mind this venue is best for active games with limited players. read more

Ive been there several times but not in a year or so and I have to say that the arcade part of this place had went down hill. Half the games were out of order which was upset me because I had one day to spend with the kids while on their vacation and we picked there. One out of the 5 skee ball games were out of order, there were several games the kids couldnt play together, I even went and said something to the worker but I know she had nothing to do with it. She said something about parts being ordered but if they have that many games down, then close down or warn people before they spend their money. I was beyond disappointed. read more

I went here as part of a group with my in-laws, wife, sister-in-law and five-year-old nephew for lunch and a fun afternoon. It was a great time. They have a good selection of things to do: about a dozen bowling lanes, an indoor laser tag arena that was an absolute blast and a broad range of arcade games. Laser tag was the highlight of the day. Definitely give it a try. The sports bar is pretty standard on food, keeping in mind it is meant to accommodate kids as well as grown-ups and very good service, at least when we were there for lunch, and looks beautiful. My only complaint about the bar is that I tend to be a light eater, and there could have been more fried shrimp in the basket meal, even for me. The price can also add up kind of quickly, moving from bowling to laser tag to the arcade. read more

Our family went here to celebrate my 7 y/o grandson's birthday. It was a little hard to find, since we pretty much stay on the IA side of the river. Our Garmin GPS didn't list it but we had the address and found it that way. It's in a building that used to hold a furniture store. The facility looked almost brand new and everything was clean. They have 24 bowling lanes in an open area and several more off in another room (not sure why). The nice thing is they can raise gutter bumpers for children whenever needed. What was really cool was that the bumpers only came up when it was my grandson's turn to bowl, then went back down. How slick is that? The wait staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They waited on us right away and drinks came out quickly. We ordered 2 pizzas and they were very good. I'm kinda picky about food and I was impressed. I'd say the meat lover's pizza we had was in my top 10 faves. Of course, like all pizzas, it started to taste "just okay" when it sat and cooled down. That's to be expected. We didn't use any of the party rooms, so I can't comment on them. The games they had were pretty good, from what I could see. No Dave & Buster's, but good for the QCA. The kids played laser tag and had a blast. I highly recommend QC Family Entertainment for birthday parties or just general fun for the family. read more

Update to my previous review: I met the GM, Rob, and he was genuinely conserned about my experience. I did not talk to him immediately so I could see if changes were made and noticed him making rounds talking with customers. He seemed very involved with ensuring a good customer experience. I opened a tab at the bar where they swiped my card and gave it back to me, a huge improvement over my card sitting in plain sight! He had direct messaged me previously based on my feedback and said he would cover bowling or a drink, but did not do that. For these reasons, I think they deserve a raise from 2 to 3 stars. I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful family establishment. We were a couple days out from traveling to Quad Cities for a baseball tournament. It was our son's birthday and we wanted to plan a small team gathering to celebrate. This place had amenities for kids and adults. Bowling, arcades, laser tag and a full bar and grill. I called ahead and worked with Margie, the manager. She could not have made it easier. Our small gathering grew to 65 people and QCFE was so gracious to set aside party rooms and reserve bowling lanes for us. We had dedicated servers that took our orders promptly and organized a ton of separate checks. They even helped us with the cakes and desserts we brought in for the birthday. Margie and her whole crew made this a fantastic experience for our entire team. If you're in Quad Cities, this is a great place for a fun gathering, large or small! read more

We scheduled a double birthday party last minute. Our needs were accommodated very generously, and with timely rapport (difficult with my conflicting work schedule), by Margie Adams. On the day of the party we were met by Sarah Elliot to help us locate our room and get set up. She also got game cards for all 6 kids when we were having trouble with the kiosk and told us about the extra $5 dollars for spending $25. Thank you Margie and Sarah! The arcade is great we go on date nights and family nights quite a bit! We never go on the weekends though I have heard the crowd is rough, they have police there to ensure no one acts up. Eeeek. I don't care what anyone says the service is HORRIBLE! They have a small handful of employees who are happy. Everyone else scowls. We had a horrible experience with a young manager there, she tried to pick a fight with me instantly. She is not a people person. When we were there 3 people were seated at the bar TOTAL took about 10 minutes for us to get our drinks and the bartender kept saying how busy they were. It was not busy at all!!! The food is less than so-so. Not worth the cost. I have eaten there 2x for appetizers and once ordered meals, just bland, overdone cafeteria food. Bowling was not good it always takes forever to get waited on. If you are going to go stick to just the arcade, eat and drink and bowl some where else. read more

This is a fun place to go. If you are from a bigger city, this is the Quad Cities comparison to a GameWorks or a Dave & Buster's. Location has a decent sized arcade game floor that utilized rechargeable game cards so you don't have to lug around coins and tickets (kiosks accept cash or credit)...has a sports bar with bar food, 2-level laser tag, and a huge bowling alley. We've been here several times for bowling only and today decided to eat at the restaurant inside, Frankie's, beforehand. Terrible service! I wish I hadn't because now I don't look at this fun place quite the same. It was a slow Saturday afternoon and we were a party of 5, 3 adults and 2 children. It took 20 minutes to take our drink orders and an entire hour to bring out our food. We were told 40 minutes after ordering that the hold up was a bunch of pizzas booked in the party room. When we got our food I was disappointed and confused that the food in the kids meals was more appealing and also in larger portions than our food from the adult menu. Our only compensation at our dissatisfaction was getting our drinks removed from the bill but all we ordered was 1 pop and the rest waters. Thanks for the $2. read more

We had a great time bowling but they seemed to have a hard time keeping up with customer demand the day of our visit. We had a spilled drink that they never came to mop up and the staff didn't seem to know their hours of operation. I called the day before New Years Eve to see if I needed a reservation for the next day. I was informed over the phone that it was first come first serve and that they opened at 11. When we arrived at 10:55 the parking lot was packed. When we entered the building, people were already finishing up a game of bowling, which is odd considering we were told they didn't open until 11. When I asked the woman at the counter, she said they opened at 9. When I informed her that I was told via phone they opened at 11, the hours on the door said 11, and the website states 11, she offered no apology and just said, "I don't know why it says that." We luckily were able to get on a lane and had a great time, but with little kids, we would have preferred to go earlier if we had known the correct hours of operation. read more

We paid $30 today for a family of four to bowl one game. I don't consider that to be a very good value. Plus, someone had to fix our lane three times. The game room is pretty fun. Worst experience! Took my grandson for his bday party. The service was horrible! The bowling kept freezing up and wouldn't keep accurate scoring. They had to reset it several times and still would not work properly. The bowling shoes were nasty and falling apart. Had to wait over an hour for food that wasnt even good! Manager tried to give us an apology pizza that the lady sent to the wrong table and then never ended up coming so we gave up because it was our turn for laser tag that we already waited 2 hours to play. Staff kept letting other people in for laser tag when it was our turn. Even had the manager involved and they kept messing it up. The employees were rude and didn't seem like they even knew anything about the place. There was no help or communication. Half the games were either broken or card would not read. First off we completed an entire game before we could even get a sever to come over to is. Finally we got one and it took forever to get our stuff. When we got the bill at the end she charged us for 4 pitchers of beer and we only had 2 pitchers. When we brought it to her attention she said she'd fix it and when she came back she said the manager couldn't void the 2 pitchers we didn't have off our bill because it was alcohol but said she wouldn't charge our card for them. Us not trusting her decided to pay cash. After that we decided to stay and bowl another hour we asked for 2 22oz drink and she then proceeded to charge us $9 each which we later discovered was the price of the 2 pitchers we didn't drink. I read some of the older reviews but my experience was very good. We went to Frankie's first and had pizza and salad. All were good and served in the normal amount of time. The waitress was kind and came around to check on us many times. We then went into the game room. I thought the ticket games, at $1 per swipe, seemed pricey but all were operational. We did not bowl or laser tag. The bowling alley (24 lanes) looks very nice and the prices seemed OK. There is a special place for birthday parties. Overall, a great place. I dropped 1 star for the price of the games. Three are some special one that are cheaper. read more

The manager Erica from the bar is a jealous b**** just because her man was supposed to train me when I got the job there she lied and said that I was being hostile when I wasn't I got the job they were supposed to call me and she lied and said I was supposed to call them when the guy that hired me said he would call me on Wednesday he did so I came in on Thursday and ended up talking to her and then she was going to give me the job but she said I was being hostile and I wasn't being hostile she was just jealous because her boyfriend Charlie who ran the bar was going to be training me and that's why I didn't get the job there other than that it's a fun place to do birthday parties and have a little fun playing video games I think the prices are a little high but other than that it's a great place but I do not recommend the bar at all if Erica is around and I believe that is her name because she is a jealous woman and if you even talk to her husband she will probably kick you out cuz that's how disgusting she is read more
