Qdoba is one of my favorite chain restaurants. But today it was very bad portion was low and taste was bland. Last time when i get this location there were some Mexicans working there and it was amazing. I ordered 3 crunchy tacos. The person helping me said oh hold on and then just walked away. Then someone else came and asked if they could help I ordered the same thing and he took off his gloves and just walked away. A third person then came over and I again placed the order this time he said oh they take a min let me grab someone else. The forth person made my tacos. I am super irritated by the lack of communication of the employees. I also order a brisket bowl. The brisket was a literal ball of inedible fat. This was a horrible mistake to eat here. This is a fairly new restaurant in town. It is located on one of the busiest intersections in town. When we got there around noon the place was packed with a small line waiting to order. There are several entrée choices. You pick your entrée, then choose the items you would like to add to it. It works pretty much the same way Subway works with an assembly line approach. some of the staff seemed a little unsure of what they were supposed to do as the manager had to instruct some of them in the process. I ordered a burrito. When I looked for a table to sit at, the open ones were all dirty. I asked if there were any clean tables. They immediately cleaned all the tables. My burrito was quite large for a fast food item. It was very tasty. I will be back again to try other items here. The quality makes up for the few small missteps. read more

This restaurant has gone progressively down hill. We ate here 8/29/21. The rice was crunchy, the chicken was crunchy. The food was just unpleasant and didn't taste good. I've complained to Qdoba customer service before and they do nothing for the customer. On top of that, the service was super slow and not friendly at all. The guy at the register was nice, but the rest of the staff that prepared our food clearly didn't want to be there. read more

Janesville, WI - I am always super disappointed when I don't get what I pay for. I ordered a bowl with brisket and paid to have the meat doubled with grilled steak and I got just steak and definitely NOT double meat. Seeing as I never get rice or beans, this looked pretty pathetic and I cannot believe someone didn't do a double take to check to see if it was right. I wish I could give this location 0 stars. Seriously disappointing, even for fast food. You would think that the employees would at least wear a hair net or pretend to know what customer service is. This place is quite good, and in my honest opinion, tastes better than chipotle. Now that's an opinion, remember that. I would still consider it a fast food place, but it's defiantly a fast food place that leans on being a helluva lot more. I decided to try the food for the 1st time at a Qdoba restaurant, since a friend of mind to me it was very good. The food was terrible. I still tried to eat it, but I finally gave up so I brought it to the attention of the register operator who informed me there is nothing he could do about it, so I left out of the restaurant but decided to go back in and talk to the manager since I had paid almost $10 for something I could not eat. To my total surprise the young kid who was working the register was the manager. When I told him that I didn't want the food and I waned my money back they said they couldn't do that but they could give me a free pop which I rarely drink. So I threw the food in the trash and left. I did a review with my receipt and requested that someone contact me, but its been almost a week and I still haven't heard from anyone. I 'm not certain if it was a racial thing or not since I am an American Indian or if that is the way they treat all their customers. read more

Bad experience!!! Whole office was looking forward to eating there, placed an online order, and when I got there to pick it up they didn't even notice that an order was placed. When I brought it to their attn they were rude and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Disappointed. I'm a burrito lover, so when I heard about Qdoba coming to Janesville I started counting down the days!! I usually drive out to Rockford for Chipotle, but that's a bit of a drive just for burritos... I've been there twice now since their Tuesday opening. (I figured I'd give them a second chance since grand openings can get a little crazy.) However, both days were bad. No one in the kitchen seemed to know what they were doing. I'm thinking that maybe the hiring was all done last minute or something. There seemed to be a person in the kitchen for every ingredient, yet the line was not moving. Both visits I waited in line over a half hour. When I finally got to the front I was ignored while the person at the tortilla station blankly starred down the line for no particular reason, when he finally acknowledged me I had to repeat myself three (3) times! The first time I ordered a steak burrito and the second time I ordered a chicken one. Both times the rice was awful! (I ordered the white cilantro-lime rice.) There was no cilantro or lime in it though, and that's not an exaggeration. I'm assuming they fell behind on their prep due to being so busy and just didn't bother finishing the rice before putting it on the line. If water were a solid.... you'd have their rice. If I want watery sticky rice I'll go to a sushi bar. I like Mexican food for it's bold flavor and Qdoba is really lacks that. I thought the beans over powered the burrito so the second time I ordered no beans. Let me tell yah though, they are REALLY skimpy on the meat. If you want a decent portion prepare to pay an extra $2. Before the Janesville location opened I had Qdoba one other time in Madison and that location gave you "Chipotle portions." In other words, one heaping spoonful. which you'd think is pretty fair for the price. I didn't even get that amount with the extra $2 charge. Overall I think their burritos taste pretty bland and I think their rice has a lot to do with that. The only bold flavor I got out of those burritos was from their Queso Diablo, which I did like, it had a nice kick. However, an order of Chips and Queso is $4! I think that's just crazy. I can go down the street to Taco Johns and get an order of Chips and Queso for half that, and they put meat in theirs!! Oh, and both times my burrito had black Sharpie marker on the tortilla from them ripping the tinfoil when marking my order, yuck! When I got to the register I had to tell them what I ordered, then I had to remind them again what I ordered, and then I had to wait because they ran out of bags. When I walked in the sun was still out, by the time the whole thing was over it was dark out, and I didn't even dine in! I paid $14 for a burrito with chips and queso. I didn't even have a drink! I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous. $14 could buy me dinner for two at many other quick-service restaurants in the Janesville area. Next time I'm craving giant burritos with bold flavor I'll make the drive down to Rockford for Chipotle, thank you! Never again Qdoba... read more

Good location and freshly prepared food. The service here has definitely improved from when they first opened. They do try to up-sell you with queso and gauc but over they make a pretty good burrito bowl. The people that work there are friendly and efficient. Will be back soon. read more

Having spent 48 years in California and then Texas, we love our Mexican food. This was a surprising find. We ordered a sampling of items and shared, not knowing what we would like. The queso was great, but even better was the guacamole. It was fresh and you could taste the fresh ingredients immediately. We ordered one burrito, which was huge, and pork tacos. If it is good Mexican food you are looking for don't stop here. it is average at best. There is a Mexican place by home Depot that is much better AUTHENTIC Mexican food. The manager here was crabby and made you feel like you were in the way when you were trying to get a fork to eat the very sloppy juicy burrito. Over the years I've noticed business has tailed off for this store and today when I had a hankering I pulled in to find no cars in the lot and no one inside that I could see. Thought maybe they had closed. Walked up to the door and saw lights on...OK at least they are still open. Went up to order and talked to the first person to order. Asked about 3 Cheese Nachos. What I wanted was a bag of chips and a bowl of toppings to go. Didn't want just three cheeses. Employee says that's fine, Nachos gets you a bag of chips and a bowl of toppings (if to go). OK, perfect. I didn't want 3-Cheese queso on the bottom of the bowl so I skipped that right out of the gates. Skipped the rice as well. Went through the rest of the toppings following the rules for nachos. Got to the end and the employee gives me half a bag of chips. Wait, I thought nachos came with a full bag of chips? Apparently since I didn't put 3-cheese queso on the BOTTOM of the bowl (I did put the hot cheese in the middle.) it is a burrito, not nachos. Burritos get half a bag, Nachos get a full bag. Really, no rice, cheese in the middle? Yep. She would not budge. She was more interested in throwing it away and starting over than just giving me few more chips. No way I was going to do that. Paid for my Burrito (Same price as Nachos, by the way) and left. Now I know why they looked closed at dinner time in the middle of the week. Probably won't be back. There are local mexican restaurants that are better for a dollar or 2 more. read more
