Not an issue at all. The service was friendly and they checked back in with me frequently. I just got the basic cheeseburger and substituted the onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings are the really thinly sliced, almost "straws" they were fine, I was worried they might be soggy, but they were not, they tend to be a little saltier than normal onion rings so just be prepared. I like it just fine that way. I asked my cheeseburger, medium, and it was medium, char-grilled as opposed to griddle cooked. It was properly seasoned and came with a dill pickle spear. Everything was delicious. prices were reasonable and affordable. It wasn't fancy or mind-blowing, but it was very solid, tasty bar food. I will certainly go back there sometime when I'm driving by the town.

I didn't eat, but the couple beside me had food and said it was good. Got a tap beer, same flimsy ass plastic cup. Not even good plastic like red solo's, but these thin things that the second you touch it the cup smooshes like I got some kind of GI Joe Kung Fu grip. Guy next to me get a Blue Moon and has to ask for an orange. Nope, they don't have oranges. Ya'll realize BM is brewed to be consumed with an orange slice yea? So whats the bartended do, pours a shot of Jameson orange into it...tf? I wanted to like this place, it's nice inside and they have a lot of activity (drag shows, euchre etc), but the service here is atrocious. Not a regular, expect to wait until everyone else in the place that they know is served.

We were impressed by the Gray's root beer and ginger beer. Love them serving truly local brewed sodas. The root beer was a little vanilla heavy but I liked it because I don't like most root beer. The ginger brew was EXCELLENT, and I know my ginger beers. Now I have to find out where I can buy it. We consider ourselves calamari aficianados (self-proclained, of course.). We were stoked to try it based on all of the rave reviews. Alas, this is the dish that most drop the rating for us. The calamari pieces were very small, very tough and the batter blew off. Weirdly, it showed up so close to our ordering it that I wondered if something was wrong. Was the oil so hot that the usual cook time was now too long? We're they trying a new vendor and these very small pieces cooked WAY to fast. In any case, I suggest they relook at the quality control on that dish. Below I send a photo of all the batter that fell off in the serving dish. It was a nice sized order and tasted like very good rubbery, miniature calamari. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was delicious. It was so moist and I didn't know whether that was due to brining, sous vide, bone in, or just the best preparation I've ever had. And his plate was full of potatoes and brussel sprouts. Couldn't have been happier. I had the walleye (only on Fridays) and it was a beautiful, thick fillet cooked to perfection. The potatoes were delicious, albeit not as pesto as I expected. But skin on and purple potatoes showed me a commitment to quality ingredients. There was also a nice slaw on my plate. I like that their plates had a starch and a vegetable; kind of like the restaurant days of old. No nickel and diming the customer with ordering all your sides. Heck, skin on potatoes and the more-nutricious purple potatoes are like vegetables as well. Service was great and the restaurant was nice and warm despite it being a very cold day. That means a lot to me as an "older" customer We will definitely come back and even maybe try the calamari because our tiny ringlets and tentacles didn't look like any of photos I have seen.
