Here is another delicious restaurant to go to. Everything we had ordered was perfectly prepared, friendly service, very comfortable atmosphere, food was served and no one was talking because everyone at the table was too busy smacking and doing the "mmmmmmmmm," song as we were eating. Huge portions, the most delicious and tender steak that I have had in a long time and seasoned so well that you don't need anything on it at all. I definitely recommend this restaurant. When I walked in with my significant other, there were all these tables open but a huge party of people. The manager or owner or waiter whatever his position, was going to put us two at the table right next to the table with about 20 people at it, which was very noisy. I stopped him and asked them to put us at another table away from that table and they did. Had salsa with chips, the chips were good but salsa was very dull. My boyfriend had fajitas I had enchiladas and because I added meat to my enchiladas, they charged me for every choice of meat that I had put in the enchiladas. Our bill, I thought was overpriced at $67 mind you I had three alcoholic drinks on the bill. With the tip that was $78. I guess nothing's cheap anymore but honestly, I could've went to Janesville and had a better meal at any of the Mexican restaurants there so I would give it maybe 3 stars and a bit cheaper. We had heard good things about this newish cantina in Beloit and we decided to give it a go. We went on a Saturday nite recently with another couple and expected delicious food, possible music and great company. We arrived to zero other patrons. This should have been our clue but we ignored that red flag and gave it a try. It's in a small mall and when we opened the outer door that leads to the inner door to the entrance the smell of mold hit us in the face, followed by smeary dirty glass doors. The server looked like she had just rolled out of bed and had zero personality and was not welcoming. I ordered the beef flautas. They were so dry I could nearly choke them down. The beans and rice tasteless. My man had enchiladas and they too were tasteless. Our friends had the taco dinner and both said they were ok. Everyone noted the chips were dry and stale and the salsa bland. Our friend had his heart set on Mexican ice cream and the serving was huge. It could have fed all 4 of us except it was regular ice cream not fried ice cream in a fried tortilla shell that came from a package. Worst meal I've had in Beloit. We literally were in and out in 45 mins. When we left, the homeless lady was sitting outside panhandling and I said,, "want my doggie bag", and she said, "no thanks." We happened to be in Beloit and used Yelp to help us find an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Don't let the outside of the restaurant fool you - it's in a strip mall but the inside is decorated very well and once inside you don't remember what the outside looked like. What was inside was incredible - Yelp did not disappoint. Our service was excellent and our food was amazing. The verde salsa here is one of the best I've ever had. We enjoyed all kinds of menu items - tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, burritos, and enchiladas. We were not disappointed and the margaritas were excellent as well. I recommend this place and we will be back when we are in the area. Our friends who don't live far from here and had not tried this restaurant before said they will be back often. We were so hungry we did not take any pictures of the food and the smell of it when it was set down made us quickly devour their delicious Mexican food. read more

This new restaurant needs to get a great review. The staff was so polite and we had such great service. Our plan was to just try it and order a couple of tacos. They were the best that we have had and plan on returning for one of their dinner choices. The table next to us had this warmer on their table, so of course we had to ask what it was He told us the name (I can't recall the name) but he explained it's like surf and turf and it does have jalepenos in it. It looked wonderful. The menu has many great choices. It is located in the old shopko strip so a lot of parking. Many great drink choices, too. We have tried many Mexican Restaraunts, and this is our new favorite. Take note that they are not open until after 4 pm. Prices are within the normal range. Decent place! Stopped here on our way out of town. Good margaritas and chips. Salsa is average. Fajitas were very good! Shrimp were huge! Chicken in the flautas and enchiladas were a bit dry, however the sauce and cheese were good. Good beans and rice as well. Recommend giving them a try. read more

Steak burrito had no seasoning. Chicken chimichangas were dry and no sauce on them. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. Green sauce covering the burrito also tasted like it came out of a jar. Not impressed. read more
