One of my favorite grocery stores to frequent in West Seattle. The employees are always helpful, friendly, and polite. The selection and quality of items are great. BAKERY: I had no idea my grocery store could create such the masterpiece as it did. I left a logo and color scheme for reference, and would have been happy with standard piping and writing. I was blown away by what they did with it! Shelly, the decorator, is clearly as great of a listener as she is an artist. And, yes, the cake was totally delicious too. PHARMACY: Excellent service. Friendly and professional. Love the convenient hours, text notices when Rx is complete, and the fact that they know me by name. The rest of the store can thank the pharmacy for all the shopping I do while picking up prescriptions for someone in my family (including our dog). In this time of mergers and acquisitions, the QFC Pharmacy always brings a little "Mayberry" into my day. read more

I work near this QFC so I am in quite a bit. I like most of the staff and find them friendly, although they seem to be understaffed. There is one thing that has brought me to YELP today. There is a particular bag person that has been rude to his coworkers and myself every time I have come into contact with him. How does this person have this job? My son would love to have a job bagging at QFC and has even applied. This person complains and is difficult. I just don't get it. There, I have said my peace. read more

If you live in West Seattle there are a number of grocery options. There's also another QFC in westwood village. However, there are a few reasons to shop at this location particularly if you're bringing kids. They have multiple types of carts including the one that has a car seat holder on top. Also, you don't have to unload your cart onto the conveyer belt at checkout. Instead you just park it (Trader Joe's style) and they handle it from there. Plus you don't have the high schoolers loitering like at WV. I've never had to bag my own groceries at this location. In addition, they always have the beverages my husband wants like Bodizhafa, Rochefort 10, and Saison du Pont. (I can't find them at the other.) read more

I love this place and almost everyone in there pretty much knows my face. I love the cashiers in the morning they're always so nice, especially the one gal who I can never remember the name of (sorry) Thank you all! And to the guys in the veggie dept. I actually surprised at the negative comments about service at this QFC. I've been going there since it opened and have always had great service. I'm sure there are bad times, but I haven't witnessed it, and it is my main grocery store. Parking is easy and they have a great variety. I'm particularly impressed with their seafood-- consistently high quality. If ever I need meat they don't normally carry, they order it for me. I do agree with one reviewer that the self-check-out is terrible, but I feel that way about ALL self-check-out. I just called them to order a brisket :) read more

Saturday before Christmas. Half the check stands unmanned. Most likely one of the busiest weekends of the year and you cannot staff enough employees to have all of check stands open. Long lines. Must say that the young man that checked us out was fast and courteous read more

This store has been sliding downhill since it opened to great promise several years ago. Rare you can find the meat/fish counter stocked before noon or someone to wait on you after 6pm. The refrigerated cases (packaged meat) may or may not be stocked - flip a coin. The self checkout may cause you to pull you hair out the way it constantly will say "attendant notified to assist you" and then you have to hunt down an attendant. Stocking does not seem a high priority. Just becoming a frustrating shopping experience. Emails to corporate office go unanswered displaying a complete lack of interest in customer relations. read more

QFC is by far the best place to shop. They have everything when it comes to food, drinks, to even ice cream. They got it all. It looks like a shiny new palace that just got built. So when you are looking for QFC just remember it looks like a palace. You can't miss it. Once you walk into QFC a breeze of fresh food hits you like a tidal wave. There are aisles after aisles of pure goodness that are to die for, and they have tons of samples to try. My favorite thing there has to be there ice cream they have tons of flavors and the best flavors. Once you take a bite of that ice cream you think to yourself "is this ice cream or is this paradise." Not everything cool is in the store, outside they don't just have just a parking lot they have underground parking, so when you go there you get the feeling of going underground. At QFC you get awesome food, great drinks, and spectacular ice cream, and to top it all of you get under ground parking. Now how cool is that. Ask yourself this question why would you not go to QFC. --Joey Whenever my mom and I are in the neighborhood, we always find an excuse to visit the gelato bar in QFC. The store in general is wonderfully clean and the service is excellent, but the gelato is always a highlight. Even if you aren't going to buy any, there is always a friendly worker behind the counter waiting to offer you a free sample. Although $2.99 for a small (and I mean small) container and $3.99 for a medium may seem a bit pricey, each spoonful packs a huge wallop of flavor. My favorites would have to be the strawberry (less creamy than the strawberry fresca) and the lemon, even though the cookies & cream, raspberry, peanut butter & chocolate, and mint chip are also delicious. This sounds odd to review a QFC, but this is in regard to their deli department in particular. Here it is: Hire more employees for the deli department. The ones who do work there are obviously miserable because they have no support and are understaffed. The ones who do work there are nice and make delicious custom sandwiches and wraps, but I feel bad for them because there is usually only one person trying to help 3-5 people at once for the whole department. This is a review for the management of the store, not the employees. Thanks to those who work there and do what you do despite obvious challenges you guys face. read more

I like the people who work here but my boyfriend said he got food poisoning from the deli so I never eat from there.

2 stars for selection, but they seriously have the rudest checkout employees of anywhere I've been. This isn't just a one time only thing either, this is an every single shopping event kind of thing. Get a different job if you're so miserable, I'm over it and will shop elsewhere. read more

I ordered a precooked Christmas dinner, and instead of what was offered on online and what I got were two different things. It was to be precooked and had scallop potatoes, apple pie. What I got was a refrigerated meal that still had to be prepared and I got mashed potatoes instead of scalloped as advertised online. Please do not order from QFC for a prepared dinner it is not! Insanely overpriced - $1.25 for a bunch of green onions that aren't even organic is crazy. This store has the worst customer service of any grocery store I've ever been to - I've been here about 4 times and have had a bad experience every one of them. Today I went to the customer service counter and the girl walked away as I came up and left me standing there while she chatted with a co-worker for a few minutes then finally came back to ask what I wanted and send someone else to help me who didn't know password for the computer. This store is either consistently understaffed or the staff they have just doesn't care. Last time I used self-checkout, I only scanned one item before receiving an error and was left waiting for assistance for well over 5 minutes because no one was around or helping with self-checkout. Everytime I go, there are people shoplifting and homeless people camped in front of the entrance. I only go here because it's close and if I'm willing to pay twice what food should cost for the convenience. read more

This is actually a pretty good grocery store by West Seattle mainstream grocery standards. The parking on the upper level isn't too dangerous to get to even though it's on 42nd on a hill and it usually has lots of spots. They keep it clean. The produce is good quality and they have a pretty good selection overall. I like the Redbox and Chase ATM located in-store. The aisles are laid out logically (a directory exists as well rear center of the store. Even though the deli has to be approached with caution if you're trying to watch calories or sodium, the savvy shopper can navigate through safely with a sharp eye on the nutrition labels. A nod of approval to their cheese section which is amazingly broad in variety compared with chain markets in smaller towns or other states. The staff has always been friendly and helpful as they can be. They were the walk to choice when I lived down the street but even now that I'm in a more distant neighborhood, I still make regular stops. read more

All about the deli: I work in the area & have been stopping in for handmade sandwiches for lunch from their deli. I just have to say: the service has been excellent! The sandwiches aren't just slopped together by someone who seems like they'd rather be somewhere else. I've had 4 different employees (on different occasions) happily craft me a great custom sandwich. I was so thrilled with the service, I called the store to get their names so they could have a little recognition. Kari, Alisha, Matthew and Daniel have all been fantastic! Customer service with this crew feels totally natural. They make pleasant conversation if I'm there while they're working on my order... and it doesn't take long! They spread the spreads to the edges of the bread so every bite is as tasty as the last. They pile the toppings on with care, as if they're enjoying creating the thing! I know it's just a sandwich, but when the whole experience is made so pleasant, I say it's noteworthy. I read a previous review that said there's never anyone to help in the deli. I figure that must be off peak hours or something because I've never waited long for help, if at all. read more

I went into this pharmacy at 9pm and received top notch service. I'd never filled at this location and was surprised by how warm and helpful everyone was. Specifically the pharmacist heard my cough and left behind the counter to come assist me sooner. He expressed genuine empathy and took the time to explain the directions multiple times as I kept having coughing fits. He was so nice, I sincerely appreciated his service and my overall experience. read more

I always receive good customer service here. The shelfs are always stocked. The produce is kept well-organized and fresh. Very clean too.
