We have been going to Dr. Qingchun Kong for over 15 years. The first time we went to Dr. Kong, was for my mom. She had Sciatica. It hurt her to stand or sit. She had gotten cortisone shots, but they weren't working. Dr. Kong came recommended from acupuncturists from Seattle, WA. She said everyone recommended Dr. Qingchun Kong in Michigan. We made an appointment, she had 1 treatment and felt wonderful for about 30 minutes. Dr. Kong said with more treatments, the longer the relief would be. She only went for 1 hour, once a week for 16 weeks. She could have stopped, but continued because she was afraid the pain would come back. Eventually she weaned herself off, ready at any moment to go back for relief if needed, and she never had to go back. I had problems with my knee, it felt like it would buckle under my weight, I couldn't trust it to hold me up, it was painful, like the cartilage was gone. I had an ultrasound and an MRI, both showed nothing, I went to Dr. Kong for 1 hour, once a week for 8 weeks. Felt great. About a year or so later, I felt that familiar twinge in my knee, we back, within 4 weeks (2x a week visit), I was 100% again. I have gone for pain in my knuckles, (I wouldn't say I had arthritis, just achy stiff joints) since I was laying there to get my knee done, he put a few needles in my fingers and relieved that symptom too. My husband was playing hockey and received a stick to the ribs which had created a couple of cracked ribs. He was in great pain. He went to Dr. Kong, just to see if he could get rid of the pain so he could breathe properly again. He came home after 1 visit and said he felt 85% better. Went a few more times and started playing again. He has also gone for back pain. It was so bad he couldn't bend over to tie his shoes, he was back to his old self after a couple of visits. I'm going now for an abdomen pain. It hurt to walk at a decent pace or get up from a chair or off a bed, rolling over, moving my leg in a sweeping motion (think moving blanket over). Went for an ultrasound again (thought maybe it was a hernia), that was 3 weeks ago. In the meantime, I was in pain. After 2 visits with Dr. Kong, I was thinking it can't be a hernia, I feel too good now. I want to go back to my regular active schedule, Dr. Kong recommended that I still take it easy. I have a few more appointments with Dr. Kong, but how can I tell him where it hurts, if it doesn't hurt any more. I drive close to an hour each way, to see Dr. Kong. I have gone to other Acupuncturists, from either Groupon or because they were close to my house (& recommended by friends), and always... Every ... Single ...Time ... it was a total waste of time and money. It was at those times that I knew why people don't believe in Acupuncture. Dr. Kong (Qingchun) is a great Dr., he is kind and gracious. I always have some lightheadedness since I was very young, after just two treatments from Dr. Kong my lightheadedness was gone. Last year I had some health issues (I'm not going to detailing of medical issues here) I went to Dr. Kong for an acupuncture three times per week, and taking Chinese Herbal, my condition improved dramatically, during that time I didn't need to take any of pain killer and/or anti-nausea meds. Mr. Kong is an amazing acupuncturist. The first time I went to his clinic, I had very bad headache for two days. Before I went to his clinic, I have taken the pain killer. It can only release my pain for a very short time. Mr. Kong used half an hour and killed the pain forever. The second time brought me to his clinic is my cervical pain. I delivered a baby last year and did the breastfeeding for almost a year. I am also preparing for exams. The neck is overwelmed. Again, another half an hour treatment, the pain went away. Dr. Qingchun Kong is really fantastic. I came to see Dr. Kong for my tennis elbow. Only several acupuncture treatments, my elbows went back to normal, I am so happy I can stretch straight and bend well, and my hand can hold grip. Prevented Hand Surgery, and helped to restore feeling in finger that had a severed nerve and vein. Dr. kong has been extremely Helpful in relieving trigger fingers in both hands, that were earmarked for surgery. He has also helped me to regain some of the feeling in a finger deeply cut by a power tool. The acupuncture even helped relieve lower back and hip pain that I had not even thought was treatable.
