Great selection and average prices. Great location being next to the grocery store. Customer service needs work. A guy nodded when I came in and was pretty clueless about typed of alchoal they sold. No getting, no smile, no interest of any kind other than goinf back to stock and talk to the other dude. Quail Creek wine and spirits seems to have a multitude of wine selections from Australia and New Zealand to Italy and Spain, then back to Argentina! We visited the wine tasting booth that they had today (although it looks like that is running all the time). There were some French wines to taste that were quite good and moderately priced as well ($8.49/bottle). They also have another section with your usual selections of beer and hard liquor. Although it's not as well stocked as some other stores, their beer selections did include many microbreweries. The two employees on shift at the time were your normal college-age workers and didn't have much wine experience -- the wine bar attendee's review of the wine that was available to taste was "it's good." Both employees were very helpful and friendly, however. The place seemed clean enough, although there was a strange smell throughout the store. It seemed almost like the way a dairy smells, but not quite that pungent. Since the building is very new I wouldn't have expected a smell of any kind. I have been here many many times and the older man with the hat is always extremely rude. I gave him my ID and card immediately before he asked. He rudely says this looks nothing like you and he very aggressively asked if I had another form of ID. I told him no and he said "you don't have anything else with your name on it?!?!" I handed him two credit cards and he finally accepted. I check IDs for a living too, he needs to really look at the ID and take into account age, weight and when the ID was issued. I understand it is his job, but he still needs to maintain at least some level of customer service. If I enter this establishment again and he is working I will no longer shop here. read more

Killer prices/selection, plus a very helpful staff! Stopped by Quail Creek for a bottle of vino and stayed for a wine tasting, very nice. The wall painted grape vines were a lovely touch. One of the gentlemen working there helped me pick out a fine bottle. They had a great by selection, not only do they carry huge variety of wine, but their beer and liquor spread did not disappoint either. We came here on a Saturday that I hosted a BBQ and we bought lots of delicious shots, rum, and vodka. They have my favorite shots here and for cheaper too. This liquor store is the biggest one I've seen and it makes sense to come back and enjoy the service. It was not as busy and that was just as pleasant. read more

John and his team have such a warming and helpful attitude each time I come in here. The store is always clean and stocked. Great refrigerated section. And now they have Alcohol ICE CREAM! What! Still need to try that! read more

Manager is very mean. I recently turned 21 and she would not accept my ID, so I brought my passport back in hopes of getting the one wine I wanted. She yelled cross the store that she WOULD NOT sell to me and made a very large deal that I tried to buy something. Manager didn't give me a chance at all and didn't even muse my passport. Very rude and inconsiderate for a small and very expensive selection of drinks. Would not recommend. read more

This place is a joke. Their shelves are half empty and the staff insists on pushing Fireball and box wine.

Great place to buy everything from wine to spirits...came in on new years eve and the line was all the way to the back of the store....no one complained. ..Why...because it's a great store with even better employees! I live nearby so this is one of the closest liquor stores I go to the most. I've always been content with the selection and the service had been great. Now I've had more experience and will likely go elsewhere from now on. When I call them out on overcharging when the labels say the sale price, but it rings up higher, they act like it's not a big deal. I just wonder how many times I didn't notice those extra dollars I was getting charged, just because I wasn't paying close attention. I'm a loyal customer to places that treat me nicely. It may just be the one person that day that didn't want to correct the problem, but make sure to check the prices yourself so you don't get mischarged. read more

I reviewed a year ago and am disappointed to say not much has changed. When I wrote my last review I got a response that it was the building that was causing the bad smell. It's been a year and this has not been resolved. Thankfully, they are selling something that is sealed as I would turn around if "fresh food" was sold here. There is another liquor store on Zuni/128th I have been driving an extra block to and have heard another is opening 136/Huron so I hope the owners of this store realize they have to step up their game. I only shop here when I'm REALLY feeling lazy since it's so close to King Soopers, but more often than not, the place smells terrible and I immediately wish I had gone somewhere else. I went in on my way to a friend's house near there and I swung in to buy a bottle of wine and ended up buying a case!! Barry helped me pick out several delicious bottles of wine and we ended up opening a few at my friends house. I will make the drive to buy my wine from now on. Well worth it. Great place! read more
