This was my first time in...and my last. I purchased a 6 pack in glass bottles. A couple of hours later when taking them out of the cardboard carrier, I noticed one of the beers was almost empty with the cap put back on. I called the store and requested a replacement or a refund for the bottle. Nope. Apparently I should have checked that I was being cheated before I left the store. Sad that the loss of a new customer was worth the couple of bucks they saved. read more

This place just lost a customer. I've spent quite a bit in this store this year and built a decent relationship with one of the owners. They had decent (not great) prices on allocated bottles of bourbon. I went in yesterday and the new owner has raised prices up to secondary (1000% mark up) right as they were releasing their end of year bottles. I will never spend another dime in this store because they care more about gouging than keeping regular customers coming back. read more

I'm completely a fan of this place. I found it by accident, because I am still looking for a liquor store with a decent wine selection. And let me preface this by "decent wine selection". I am a TOTAL wine snob. I say I'm not, but I am. I forgo drinking wine if I know it's 'ok'. Yes, yes, judge me. I'm sorry. So as I have been entering every liquor store that says Wine & Spirits (and wine is first), I entered this place. It is a moderately size store - and it is PACKED with varying inventory. It really can be sensory overload if you're browsing, but I had a mission - Riojas. The ceiling has signs overhead to the isles, by country. I found the Spanish isle, and was pleasantly surprised with what they had and the prices. To be honest, they had 1 bottle I've had my eye on, and I couldn't find anywhere before, (not that it's special or unique), so I bought it. This isn't a wine review, but let's just say, I went back again and bought a case of it. My other passion is Whisky, and they had a decent selection from Islay and Jura. Purchased some Bowmore while I was there. Reasonable prices, considering I just was in Bowmore, so I know what straight at the distillery cost, vs finding it in Northglenn cost. Not much markup. They have a large selection of vodka, rums, cordials, and gins. My fave gins weren't there - but that's ok, as unfortunately, I can't find them easily in the US anyway, so I mail order them. Customer service has been great the few times I've been here. I witnessed a female employee (at the checkout) helping a man who was, and I quote, "my wife wants some cooking wine, and I have no clue what to buy". Bless her heart, she asked a few questions, and the man had no answers, but she tried, and she didn't over sell him on his purchase. (as I eavesdropped, I was gonna suggest something, but didn't have to) I will be back, I have been back. Whomever is their wine distributor or purchaser has a great variety to cover all price points. read more

For all those people who put on here that they went in JJ's last minute and say they were treated poorly.? You're an idiot! If you owned a restaurant and your sign says you close at 10 and someone comes in at 9:59 and 59 seconds and they say you have to serve them, you would be pissed too! This is my go-to liquor store in the area. Good hours, good selection. The staff is friendly and they make good recommendations if you need it. Prices are the same as the other liquor stores around. They always card, which is good. Overall, great place to stop for your beer or wine (or whatever drink you fancy). read more

The absolute lowest customer service and friendliness ever. My wife and I came in on 4th of July as a last minute decision to buy beer for a party, we bought a twelve pack of beer and a 12 pack of mikes hard lemonade, were charged 2 different transactions on our debit card, and when we went back to have corrected, were told 4 SEPERATE, DIFFERENT times of going into the store, that we could only deal with Mike in having the matter corrected... Needless to say, with credit card receipts provided by their store on the transaction, evidence that we had not made two separate purchases, we had to have our bank dispute the charges as they were not willing to do so themselves. We used to frequent their store at least 2-3 times a week. Never again! read more

Agreed - the friendliest liquor store! I have been in this store on several different occasions, trying to select a bottle of wine. After about 2 minutes of wandering around, I am always approached by a helpful associate full of suggestions. They ask what I like, then make recommendations based on that. I tend to be the customer that just says "I don't really know, a Cabernet". And they always steer me in the right direction. The prices are average, but totally worth it for the excellent customer service! Great job, I will be back! read more
