I'm leaving a review because Dr. Florek's solution to my cat's symptoms related to irritable bowel disease and food allergies was to schedule expensive dental surgery to remove her teeth due to a lazy misdiagnosis. I eventually went to a different vet who was able to diagnose her with IBD and allergies causing the symptoms that Dr. Florek wanted to pull teeth for. Unfortunately within 6 months the IBD developed into intestinal lymphoma and my cat is now terminally ill with less than a month to live (she's barely 9 years old). It breaks my heart to think if I had brought her to a different vet sooner, instead of staying with Dr. Florek for 2-3 years, the IBD could have been treated earlier and we could have stopped it from developing into stomach cancer. If you want your animal(s) to receive high quality medical treatment, I would avoid this practice like the plague.

We've kept the same vet for follow up visits and guidance (Dr Dan is amazing) although they have other vets on duty that can advise for more pressing concerns when our vet is taking time off. They're closed on the weekends and have taken care to ensure my dog has any meds they may need on Fridays before they close to reduce the chance that we need to seek urgent care. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't make me schedule an appointment to give updates on my pet's status or get feedback from the vet. They provide hard copy prescriptions and will refill medications at local pharmacies without making me jump through hoops to access affordable medication options. I can text them to share updates on my pet's status and schedule appointments and they've consistently gotten back to me in a timely manner. They're a certified Fear Free clinic and it shows in their work. I can't say enough good things about them! She could never clearly answer questions or have a thorough and knowledgeable explanations. Sometimes it's okay to just say "I actually don't know". I do appreciate her stopping the procedure and not continuing with the intubation portion due to lacking the ability and anatomical knowledge to continue. High country stated they could not give over the medical records of my other dog (chihuahua) because they hadn't been signed by Dr. Moses. These records would have been completed in June -the last time we were in with her- it was November when the new location requested the records. In December our cat underwent a dental procedure here costing approximately two thousand dollars. On January 7 she abruptly stopped eating entirely. We brought her in immediately and clearly expressed concern that she may have ingested something toxic or foreign. Bloodwork was performed and we were told the results suggested ingestion of something toxic. Imaging is the most serious issue in this case. X rays were discussed but my husband did not decline imaging. He was actively discouraged from pursuing X rays and was told they were not necessary at that time. Despite this the medical record inaccurately states that X rays were declined which is categorically false. Our cat was sent home with medications but no imaging despite complete anorexia. Multiple follow up calls resulted in additional medications still without imaging. She never resumed eating and continued to deteriorate. When we sought care at another veterinary clinic X rays were performed immediately and a foreign object was found in her stomach and surgically removed. As a result we have serious concerns about -Failure to act on persistent anorexia and ingestion concerns -The delay of basic diagnostic imaging -Inaccurate and misleading medical documentation regarding consent and decision making -Discouraging imaging while documenting it as declined -The delay forcing emergency care at another clinic We formally requested -A refund for the January 7 visit and related medications -A correction to the medical record Both requests were refused. Additionally the primary veterinarian we interacted with was rude dismissive and condescending and spoke in a manner that felt elitist and talked down to us while we were advocating for our pet. Mistakes happen in medicine. What is unacceptable is refusing accountability failing to correct inaccurate records and treating concerned clients with disrespect especially when those errors result in delayed emergency care. We strongly encourage pet owners to advocate aggressively for diagnostics and to review medical records closely if they choose to seek care here.

After we identified ourselves, the receptionist said, "we are strict about appointment time and you are four minutes late. I will have to ask to see if you can still be seen." She then walked into the back, came back about five minutes later and said we could not be seen but would be willing to reschedule. I said no thank you and left. Please do not worry about Jack, he is being followed by White Whiskers Aging Pet Care and Dr. Kelly is AMAZING. I can recommend Dr. Kelly's practice with 100% certainty you and your aging family member will get the BEST care possible. Jack just needed a check up and the other two need a doc. I am the sole provider in a private psychiatric practice and understand the importance of appointments running on time. I also understand that life happens and sometimes people get held up for various reasons. Unfortunately, Dr. Rose seems to have taken the humanness out of her practice and is more concerned about policy. When I initially scheduled the appointment, the "time" policy was not mentioned. My 5 year old Golden Retriever, Rudy, was trained by Hope2K9 in Vista, CA when he was 11 months…read moreold. He came back as the best behaved dog I have ever had. Last year, we got Ginger to be his pal. Unfortunately, we now live in Wyoming. Though we seriously thought about sending her to California, that was a bit overwhelming. But, low and behold, we found that Emily took her training to Colorado! Though it was a 5 hour drive each way, we knew the training, and wanted it for 7 month old Ginger as well. Ginger stayed with Emily alone for the first two weeks, then we brought Rudy down to join her for her last week of training. The refresher was excellent for him, and the two of them learned how to work together. The result is that I now have TWO well behaved pups. They are great off leash, which is important because they get their exercise on the golf course immediately behind our house. When golfers show up, the pups stay in place until the golfers move on. Perfect! Ginger was young when she received her training, so we continue to work with her on her skills. I would say that she is a good 90% of where I would like her to be. Excellent! A dog who knows its parameters and what is expected is a happy dog. Thanks so Emily's fantastic work, we are a very peaceful and content family. My arm stays in the socket because Ginger no longer darts for what ever catches her eye. The two of them walk beside me like champs. You really, really NEED to take your dog to Emily. You will both be happy you did.

She is an incredibly patient trainer…read moreand has really transformed our 5 year old French Bulldog, Nugget, into a different dog in such a short time. Ever since Nugget was a pup, he dealt with anxiety and listening skills (as in not having any) and didn't have any way to cope with his problems. He would charge at people and dogs, which eventually got him kicked out of a local boarding facility. We tried everything from medications to CBD oils and nothing would work. My husband and I travel a lot so we needed to come up with another solution. From our first phone call with Emily, we knew that she would be able to help us so we signed Nugget up for a 3 week board and train program. Drop off was smooth and we immediately felt comfortable leaving our dog with Emily for a few weeks. There was no direct communication during the 3 weeks (no news is good news plan), but Emily is very good about posting on the EC Dog training Instagram. Seeing Nugget's progress every few days was very helpful to us and put our minds at ease! We've been home with Nugget for over a week now and I can't even begin to describe how much he has changed! With simple commands and use of his e-collar we can eat meals in peace while he's in a "placed" position, he sleeps in his crate overnight (8-9 hours), and he walks on a shorter leash without pulling ahead like he used to do. We can also put Nugget in a "placed" position when people or dogs are around and he has learned to be calm and release any anxiety that used to cause him to lash out. He's had amazing progress so far and with the tools that Emily has instilled in us, Nugget will definitely be able to continue down a positive path to becoming a well-behaved doggo!
