We called and asked questions about having our dog stay for a weekend, they responded with these…read moreanswers. 1) Someone is on site all day including Saturday and Sunday. 2) If we return early, our dog would be available for pickup 3) Other dogs were on site to keep the pup company ALL Lies!!!! They did tell us that if we did not pick him up at the alotted time, he would be taken to the humane society. When we dropped him off, there were no other dogs there We had one of our friends stop on a Saturday to drop off a dog toy for him, no-one was available, they did not answer calls (3 Times) or return our calls. No bed, no pillow, no human interaction, just a hard concrete floor to sleep. When we finally picked him up, the inside smelled like dog crap telling me that they probably didn't take him out but let him poop inside his kennel and cleaned it before we arrived. Our dog deserved better and so does yours. Never again!!!

I got to go in to get them and make sure we grabbed all their stuff when we picked-up too. I know its simple, but its a much better ease of transition than the typical "dogs on a leash, stuff in a bag" hand off at the desk...with the dogs disappearing behind and emerging from a closed door and no real knowledge of whether or not they ever got their stuff. We also did not pay for a bath but my normal kinda-smelly dogs actually smell more like a dog spa than deer poop today - they are heelers though, so should only be a matter of hours before they find something new to roll in They got to stay in a double-wide kennel with a doggie door to another, outdoor, double-wide kennel and a gate to access one of the larger play areas There were other double-wide kennels along with the single kennels, all with access to an outside kennel with fenced ceilings - one of ours is an escape artist who can climb ladders and fences so this was important. There are a few cabins as well with attached runs and a fenced play areas that would be great for more chill dogs who don't jump fences! The only issue we encountered was with the gate at the entrance. There is every indication that the gate is electric and will open automatically but it is not. They really either need to fix the gate or change the signage, but we figured it out and got it open perfectly fine.

I had also been having a hard time reaching the anyone in the office lately, which is not as big of a deal but still frustrating. The last straw was a few weeks ago I scheduled and a drop off time outside of business hours. I confirmed this with an employee over the phone and I made it clear I would pay they additional charges to do so. When I showed up no one was there and all buildings were locked. Totally wrecked my plans. Since Laura Lynn sold this place it has really started to go down hill in terms of quality service.

The owner/operator (Christina) was very gentle and phased April's grooming so as not to tire the dog. After April passed away, we added a wheaten terrier (Maggie) to our family, and Christina researched how to groom Maggie appropriately. Later, when we decided to keep Maggie cut short, Christina did that while keeping the wheaten look. We have boarded Maggie several times with K9 Cuts & Care, and we like the fact that it is a small kennel facility with only a few dogs at a time, they are kept in the same area as the grooming, so they have human contact, it is very clean, and there is a large play area for the dogs to get exercise.

When we arrived to pick up our pups , I followed the owner to the kennels to get the pups. When she opened the door to let them out, there was an overwhelming smell of urine. Both of my dogs came out reeking of urine. Then she carried out the bed that I had brought for them. It was saturated with urine. ( it was so bad that we had to throw it away) My girls are well trained and would NEVER pee on their bed unless they could not hold it. This tells me that they had not been let out of their kennel. I am posting this so that other dog owners avoid the possibility of the same situation. Please think twice before sending your beloved pups to this kennel.
