Had a service call with Quality Appliance Repair for my washing machine and paid $145. Technician looked at it, cleaned the filter and said it was fixed....all within 15 minutes. I was doubtful so I started a new cycle on the washing machine to see if it worked and the machine stopped after a few minutes. Then he said it would take 7-8 hours and $1600 to repair. He told me to buy a new washer. Next day, I called a different appliance company to come assess. That company fixed the washer by replacing a part and total charge was $350. It took him less than 2 hours to repair, clean and tune up the washing machine. I reached out to the owner of Quality Appliance Repair company to let him know what happened and received a snarky reply. He said if I like someone else's advice better than his company's advice, go for and then said "No one works for free". I don't expect anyone to work for free but I do expect accurate and trustworthy service. I asked for a refund and he refused. Save your money and stay far away from this company. read more

Sent a tech who charged for visit and gave inexpert advice. Could not repair freezer drawer; claimed it must be the wrong drawer for the freezer and told me to take it out. Subsequently called second company who noted drawer was bent, fixed it in 2 minutes. Disappointed. Company would not refund fee. read more

I can't give a zero star rating. RUN!! Don't walk, run! This outfit overpromises and severely underdelivers. They couldn't get a part from their own supplier and call at the last minute four weeks in a row to tell you the appt has to be re-scheduled. Technician Darcy blamed their own staff for losing a part and I ended up having to find one myself. Booked appt to install and even then, I get called at the last minute by Darcy to cancel. Called their competitor at Express Appliance and they had someone in to do the job THAT NIGHT and did a great job! Trent M, at (NO) Quality Appliance Repair never took responsibility or offered me a refund for my diagnostic or even a rebate!!! Told me, "Some jobs just happen this way". Wow eh?? BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! They have 3 different company with different name check the reviews before inquiring!! A technician came to our house last October 30, 2023 to check our fridge because it's not getting cold he didn't stay for even 5 minutes he said that we have a freon leak and told us that he can't fix it because he's not certified and his colleague will come to fix why would a company send a technician who is not certified to check the fridge which I can confirm that he is really not certified because we didn't have a freon leak the problem is the evaporator motor fan and it needs replacement and by the way his colleague never show up!! They told us that they will waive the $135 diagnose fee if they're fixing it. But that technician still charged us the $135 even tho we want the fridge to get fixed. You can't even call them after they left you with all the problems and grabbed your money. We called them with different number and guess what they answered!! And the person we spoke to is SAM who has no idea to what his doing he told us the there is a technician in our area who can come and check the fridge and that the technician will call us within 5-10mins and he never called!! So were pissed to what happened and wrote review to their website and found out that their 2 website has good reviews and the other 1 has bad reviews. They called us and asked us if we can delete the reviews that we made and offered us a refund if we delete the reviews which we did. But the refund never came and we called them again about it, this time we spoke to GEORGE KATSARENK he's the manager he told us that they've the refund thru e-transfer and it will take 5 days to clear in the bank. This is the first time I heard about e-transfer that takes 5 days to receive. And he's insisting that they already deposited the money to our bank account even tho we called the bank to confirm to check the pending and incoming deposit. NEVER TRUST THIS PEOPLE THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!! I'M SURPRISED THAT THEY'RE STILL IN BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAMMING BUSINESS THEY HAVE!! read more

This is my second visit with Quality Appliance Repair and another great job (Repaired a previous freezer frost build up issue). The control switches on my dishwasher stopped working. Trent was able to order and swap out the part very quickly. Old Amana fridge. Freezer stopped freezing food. Icecubes were water after two days. Quality. Trent took the panel on interior freezer off and quickly said my compressor was "probably" gone and evaporator probably and probably could be a cost of 1600$....so I got the "pay me lady and I am out of here attitude". 102.00$ some cents. "Too bad...so sad" kind of repairman in my experience. Called Totem Appliance.! fridge pulled out tools and diagnostic equipment was put in use immediately. Diagnosed a need for a new evaporator. Within hour leaks fixed temporarily (135$ service call) and 2 hours later a phone call from him saying...they still make the needed evaporator. It will take a week to get in and the cost including labour will fall close to $1000, but probably under. I would like my 102$ back from Quality? Do you think I will get it? read more

DO NOT USE QUALITY APPLIANCE REPAIR IF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS! After contacting Quality Appliance Repair and providing them with the exact model (Whirlpool Gold) and model number of the oven along with the issue (it doesn't heat higher than 350), you'd think they would be able tell you immediately if there is anything they can do for you. Oh, they can do something for you, all right...they can take $108 out of your wallet. Trent arrived, simply looked at the oven and said, "Oh, it's a Whirlpool Gold." Then he took his $108 and left. He later called to say the parts would be $650. If Quality Appliance Repair want to live up to their name, I suggest they change it to Basic Appliance Rip-Off. I highly recommend that you contact another repair service, ANY OTHER repair service, but check their ratings first! I will be contacting the BBB next! read more

Used their online service to book my appointment. Available appointment showing was the next day between 9-noon. I called the next day to confirm and was told someone would call me back to confirm. Finally received a call back 2 1/2 hours later with a appointment time 2 days later? I tried calling back to cancel my appointment but could not reach anyone by phone or reply to the text they sent me. I found someone who could come the same day, within two hours of my call and actually reached a real person. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. A technician, Codi, came to repair my dryer. On the first visit while pleasant she did not have time to complete the job. I scheduled a second visit. This time she did not have any of the proper parts for repair even though I supplied my make and model before the first appointment. She then went on to say maybe I should just buy a new dryer. I called the owner, Trent. Trent was rude and unprofessional. He was not willing to refund the $118 service call charge. He claimed that he was now out money because the service technician had made two visits. How is this my fault again???? read more

This is my review: Mr Trent, Sorry to ruin your night but I think that you deserve to know these things from me: - First time when you came (December last year) you told me over the phone that it shouldn't take you too long to fix the fridge,,, Four hours later, after you called somebody that knows better than you what needs to be done, you were not sure what you did to fix it! You were gone for one and a half hour to buy this Jazz Mother board (for only $178 or so), which YOU REPLACE IT WITH MINE BACK AND FORWARD, until you finally figure out that MB is not the problem. NOW, you want to sell that mother board to me for $324 in any way possible? Guess what: I did a research and the price for tha MB is as follow: Whirlpool Canada: $206 + taxes Atlas Appliances: $199 + taxes Valley view Appliances: $199 + taxes Fast Appliances repairs: $199 + taxes Trial Appliances: $201 + taxes. I received a quote from another company in Calgary to replace the input and output tubes on my dishwasher. I called Quality Appliance Repair for a second opinion. Their quote came in at HALF the price of the other company and they were able to schedule me in to have the work completed quickly.
