Please no one should contact this guy. he charged me 73.50 dollars for service call for my Samsung dishwasher and promised me to install the part when I purchased it. I needed him to give me a written note concerning the damage part so I can send it to Samsung before they will be able to send me the part as required by their policy. This man agreed to send me the report. Since then, he refused to pick my calls or reply to my texts. Since I did not have the report, I finally purchased the part and texts him to come and install it as he promised, again, he did not reply me. Mr repairer, you're very UNRELIABLE!! I'm not one to be negative about a company but let me tell you the fun ride "Reliable appliance service" has given me thus far... May 2017 my washing machine door stopped locking shut. I had them come out confirm it was a single part that needed replacing, guy leaves to call his boss then comes back with a $400 quote all in. At this point I want my washer to work so I agree, receipt does not specify labor or parts. The job took less than 10 minutes however I get it. I'm not an appliance repair guy so I paid, otherwise it was a $70 house all cee regardless. I was comforted only with the thought of the one year work warranty. Overpriced but I had a working washer and the guy who showed up was clean and orderly. Fast forward to end of April 2018 my washing machine door stops locking again. I find my receipt, confirm I'm in the year so I attempt to call. And call and call. No answer, no response. I then contact them through the internet Kijiji ad they have, immediate response asking for more details. I reply it's a previous warranty fix however it should be simple. No response after that. I continue to call for another 5 days, all calls unanswered and unresponded to. I begin to think I messed up by saying it was a warranty fix. I checked up on them, generic website, no work address which I expected as a home/mobile business, no reviews really, no history. So I decided to pretend to be a new customer, sent my info through the Kijiji ad, immediate response, guy actually comes out that evening. Doesn't remember me, same guy as year before. Super nice and polite, confirms it's the same part messed up and leaves to call his boss. Comes back in and says no problem we will cover it but the part isn't in. We will have to order it, won't show till June 1. I am disappointed in the month without my washer but that is life. I leave it until June 1 to respond for a timeline on the parts delivery, no response. I do finally get their voicemail which indicates they are gone until June 7. Again multiple calls and internet messages unanswered. I remember I have the guy who attends number in my text messages from that day so I call, no answer. I finally receive a text a few days later saying parts not in yet. I attempt to clarify it's delivery time, no answer. I am still waiting almost six weeks to really hear back from them as I refuse to not get a warranty fix. They have literally been avoiding me and ignoring all responses like I'm a debt collector. If you managed this long story I applaud you however hopefully it's a warning to avoid them at all costs unless you're looking for a shady overpriced "reliable repair" with an unclear and false year long warranty promise. I will be following up with the better business bureau and whoever else I need to for at minimum the false advertising. read more

My dryer stopped working and after I tried testing all of the fuses to see if I could solve the problem, I knew I was beat. I called Reliable And they came right away. They did not laugh at my attempt to fix it myself and showed me an easier way to get into the dryer if I ever had to do it again. While they were here, I had them also fix an element on my stove that had not been working for quite some time. The repair man was friendly and knew his stuff. As they saying goes "happy wife, happy life". Just call these guys and get it fixed already! read more

Totally UNRELIABLE. Agreed to replace a cooktop, removed the old one, agreed to return next day to install the new one and never showed. Phoned, emailed, no response. We have a Kenmore fridge that accumulated water under the crisper drawers, not to mention the floor in front of the fridge! We called Reliance which we found via Google and Yelp. They are a member of the BBB which implies a measure of quality workmanship and professionalism. Approximately two hours later, their repair person arrived. Very poor customer service was told pretty much to go find someone else because they have no one available to come out and fix our fridge after they've already been out the day prior and said it was fixed.woke up the next morning to the same issue did not offer any same-day service told us we would get our money back if we found someone else to do it. I moved to Calgary from Hawaii a few weeks ago. My dishwasher broke just 3 days after I moved in to my new apartment. I called around to get a price quote and decided to go with Reliable Appliance for their price and they were able to come the same day. A technician came within a few hours of my call and had my dish washer fixed the same day! It was a very painless experience for something I thought would be tedious and expensive (from previous experience). I would recommend them, it was a breeze and everything works fine now! read more

I had a small repair on my washer to be done in July 8, 2016. A repair person came over and told me the service call would be free. They charge me for it and just added onto the part price. Then while he was repairing the washer he damaged the dryer vent. He also lost a part that attached the washer to the stackable dryer down the air vent. "He said it would be no big deal as one should do the trick". I asked if he can come back and bring the parts that he is damaged and lost. I am still waiting it is now February 2017. I've called numerous times and had no return phone calls. They state they give you a one-year warranty but they can even replace the parts of the damage. Wow I would never use these people to fix anything as the damage more than they repaired. Now since there's been a lot of vibration since the two machines have been vibrating more since they were 12 health together properly it is damage the grout in my tile floor. Diane H read more

Despite being a return customer to Reliable Appliance Repair, my experience this time has been awful. Marc came out to look at my dishwasher that was not working on December 7, 2017. He diagnosed the problem and needed to order a part to repair, I paid the $70 fee for the service call and he said he would be back to repair it. The following day my washing machine quit working and I called Reliable Appliance again - their voicemail indicated that they would be closed for business for the next 10 days! There was NO mention of this when Marc was at my home repairing my dishwasher. 10 days later when they re-opened I didn't hear anything about my dishwasher part or the message I had left about my washing machine. I have called multiple times and have not had any response. I have had to call a second appliance repair company to come in and do the repair, and unfortunately I am out the $70 service fee. If you choose to take your chances with this guy make sure you get a promised return date IN WRITING otherwise you have no course of action to take with him if he disappears on you. read more
