After going to several other shops and getting the run around I went here. They were quick, super helpful, and explained to me exactly what was wrong. The weekend before I had replaced my brakes and rotors and, due to the other issues, they were already warped. They worked with replacing the parts at Autozone since I just bought the parts there. Your car isn't supposed to come out from their bay more broken than before it went in. They successfully killed my power steering instead of giving my car an oil change, coolant flush and new muffler. They claim the car is unsafe to drive due to a rusted unibody, which may be true, but I always get second opinions before making big decisions like scrapping a car or doing significant (costly) body work. I told them I'd take the car to someplace else for an estimate/opinion, and suddenly the belt was also off and the tensioner broken. This kills the power steering and the alternator, disallowing more than one or two starts and creating difficulty in moving the car, even from one garage to another. I don't trust them any more, and think they purposefully sabotaged my car to keep me from driving something they deemed unsafe. My husband is even less convinced by the timing, and thinks they scavenged parts off of it. I wouldn't know until I get it into another mechanic's bay for that second opinion. Gave them a whole week to do a couple simple things, and they couldn't/wouldn't, and also then never gave me estimates for more extensive work they claimed it needed. They kept claiming the repairs would be more than the worth of the car. While that may have been true, it also doesn't mean that repairing isn't less expensive than replacing with a new car. If something can not be safely fixed, or if they think certain repairs would be too much of a future liability for them, they should simply state so. In the past, they have diagnosed problems on my other vehicles that failed to materialize when inspected by more trusted mechanics, including a dealership with a sterling reputation, Jordan Ford. I can not, under any circumstances, recommend this business. read more

You couldn't pay me to go back. They quoted a fair price so I accepted the estimate. First issue is when they said I had to pay for parts in advance. Then they couldn't get me in for almost two weeks. When I took my car in I said I needed it back same day. They said no problem. Then they called and said what they did didn't fix my car. In fact it was worse. Then they proceeded to charge a diagnosis fee. Then my bill was way higher to fix what they undid and the original problem. Also I'd have to wait 3 weeks to get back in. I said put my car together and I'd pay what I needed They added more to my estimate by quite a bit. I asked if I could let me pay over the phone And they could put the keys in the car That's when they informed me you couldn't pay over the phone. They also close before I got off work so I would be without a car for the weekend. I called around and others are almost half the price they quoted me. I am so disappointed because they started out decent then they kept adding to the bill. I now have paid over $400 and my car is in worse shape than when I took it in. read more

First few times we went here they seemed like the right place and good priced but it has changed big time! Their no different then any other shop, very expensive and they upcharge their parts. They charged me 20$ more for same battery I can get at auto zone and charged me 60$ for installation that takes 10 min at most. Just another rip off neighborhood shop. Definitely avoid! read more

I called about replacing a cracked tail light and repairing and repainting connected dents on the trunk and side of my car, and I was invited to drive over and get a quote from the mechanic. I waited about ten minutes to see the mechanic, and together we took a look at the car. He took some pictures and we discussed what would need to be done--he generously offered to provide me with separate quotes for the differing quantities of work that I could have done. Communication was clear, straightforward, and I felt assured when he promised to get back to me the following week with the quotes. I heard nothing for a week, so I called the office and left a message; no one called me back. I called again the following week and reached a receptionist who told me she would pass on my message to the mechanic, who would probably get back to me the following day. It's now been almost four weeks since I went to the shop initially for a quote, and I have yet to hear anything. This auto body shop was recommended to me by an acquaintance whose family gets their cars serviced here regularly, with the positive endorsement that they do high-quality work and in particular that the mechanics treat women customers with respect and honesty As a woman of color, I'm inclined to favor any recommendation that speaks to a business's fairness and transparency. The carelessness it takes to drop a customer after they've followed up twice for information signals at best disorganization, and at worst, disrespect. While I can't comment on the quality of their work--because they won't even engage me in the basic steps towards engaging their services--I can't recommend this place on the basis on their failure to even follow through with a quote. read more

Ive had mechanical work done here and it was fine but the body shop portion seems to be lacking communication with the front desk. I believe its one guy doing the body portion. Took too long to get back with me so I have no intention of using the body shop. I just used the quote as a comparison to a dealership. As far as the mechanical work ive had done, Ive had them set the backlash on my rear differential after I installed a new carrier. No issues so far. It was expensive and I had to let the mechanic use my dial indicator with mag block to set it correctly but I understand most people just replace the entire rear end which is a few grand so to install a new carrier was cheaper but requires the gears to be set correctly and takes time to do. It was $500 to set the backlash. Carrier was $120 online and I put it in so that repair was $620-650 with fluid. I provided royal purple diff fluid. Also they are the only place Ive been able to provide my own parts. I had them install a clutch in the same car and I provided the new stage 2 exedy clutch and flywheel. They warrantied the labor but not the parts but the manufacturer will warranty the parts especially if a shop installs them. I use them when there is something I dont want to do myself and they have come under their quoted price before so I appreciate that. When they say its gonna cost this much, and they actually get it done under what they said, they could easily not tell me and keep the difference but never had. One time I had debri from my neighbors tree clog my cowel so water spilled into my passenger floor board,so I pulled out the seat and took back the carpet. Some padding had to go and there was still a lot of water soaking everything. I took it to them and they dried it out with heat lamps and fans. Took a whole day. So my car occupied one of their bays for a whole day and they only charged me $30. Just the time it took to set it up but realistically the bay I occupied could have made them more money that day doing repairs or other services so they could have charged me more. I honestly would have paid $100 and been cool with it. It was bone dry. As for the review about an upcharged battery, autozone buys thousands of batteries and even has an inhouse brand which is duralast. You will always find a battery cheaper at a store that has buying power. Thats like saying "well they charged me more than I could buy it at walmart!" Also ALL SHOPS CHARGE 1 HR MINIMUM! So theyre not gonna prorate a "10 minute battery install". Dont be ignorant to the way all shop charge 1 hr min. and make it look like this one is ripping you off. Besides what kind of man cant install their own battery? Unless youre elderly theres no excuse. Ive looked at your profile P.D. so Im callin you out as an a-hole complainer. I had a Groupon for two oil changes and a tire rotation for this business and it was by far the worst mistake I have ever made for my car. The first oil change went fine and everyone was friendly. The second oil change is when I had my tires rotated and unfortunately for me it took several months to notice the significant damage done to my car. I work on my car regularly as it is an older model so when I went to replace the control arms I found that two of my lug nuts had been replaced with lock nuts from a different vehicle so it was impossible to get them off without sawing them. The next issue I found just this past week as I went to change my oil and noticed they had used the wrong filter for my vehicle. The threads inside the hole you screw the filter into are completely stripped and now the new correct filter I installed won't stop leaking. I also believe the filter they used was used previously as the rubber gasket was no where to be found. read more
