The ignorant receptionist proceeds to tell me, there is a transmission issue. (Well No shit sherlock). She goes on to tell me they did the diagnostic test but they dont know what is causing it and would need to most likely do a rebuild on the tranny orrrr . . . we can drive it the way it is. So let me get this straight, you dont know whats wrong with it, but it needs rebuilt? They still wanted to charge me the $120 diagnostic fee to tell me what I already knew. They admitted they did a "reset" on my vehicle which is considered "unauthorized work" as I did not grant them permission to do so. It is NOT necessary to do a reset to run a diagnostic test. They knew they were wrong, after they tried to belittle my wife and I, I walked out paying nothing. They did not want to provide an itemized list of what their diog consisted of because the list would have said: checked tranny fluid and test drive. Horrible customer service. They say I was rude and used profanities. (I did) Well, thats what most people will do when you try to rob them of their hard earned money. Stay Away From These Nickle and Dime Con Artist !

Thank GOD they are around the corner and willing to take emergency appointments. To be honest I wasn't expecting to have it done ASAP. Thought I'd leave it and get a ride when it was done. I'm very pleased that they didn't let me down. They are very busy with many other customers checking in their scheduled cars. I wasn't scheduled and yet they are helping this old lady out. In this freezing weather, my car would not start today and I was uncertain if it might be the…read morealternator or the battery, though the battery is almost new. I took it to Jiffy Lube at 4425 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN (near 20 bypass) for free testing of the alternator and battery, and the service couldn't have been better or friendlier! The assistant manager, Fred, was very kind and explained exactly what they found or did not find. He and the other two employees discussed with me what might be causing the issue--a loose bolt on the negative terminal of the battery. It turned out it was neither my battery or the alternator, but apparently, this loose bolt, which was actually stripped--which Fred showed me. Fred installed the new part and my car started perfectly. He restarted it again to be sure. All in all, I was in the shop maybe half an hour at most, and it only cost $10! I highly recommend taking your car in to this Jiffy Lube and having these gentlemen take care of whatever basic automotive needs you might have! They were above-board, friendly, and even more helpful. Thanks, Fred, and your staff at Jiffy Lube!
