On the day of my wedding, the bustle was sorta long, and I kept tripping on my dress during my first dance. I wore the exact same shoes as all of my fittings, so I am a bit confused as to why this was the case. All of the other alterations were satisfactory. On top of this, the alterations were really expensive- for bringing in the sides, hemming, breast pads, and train bustle, I paid $700-$900. For the most part, I'm glad that I brought my dress to a "high end" seamstress to relieve stress surrounding my biggest day, however, I probably won't be using Montrose Tailors & Bridal services again.

I had a little trouble finding the suite the first visit. I associate the suite numbers with the floor level and assumed suite 110 was on the first floor. Upon arriving, if you enter the building from the entry facing Westheimer, he's up the stairs, quick right down the first corridor, and leaves his door open with a welcome mat. It's two quick rights if you walk out the 2nd floor from the elevator.

A long-time Houston family planted in Houston and have been in business for prob over forty years or so! Father and son business and I came to them to have some jewel appliqué embellished jeans hemmed because I'm a petite 5'1 girly and it's hard to find jeans that fit! I called them on Easter weekend and they were about to close shop early for the holiday weekend but I caught them right before closing and they agreed to stay open just long enough for me to get there and drop off the jeans. I arrived and Mr. Imparali (their dad) stayed after just to measure my hem and then the tune around time was quick! Just a few days later we picked up the jeans and they even expedited it for us. My son wore it to his school's end of year dance and was absolutely beaming and he felt confident, stylish, and so proud of how he looked. The craftsmanship was flawless -- he didn't just tailor the suit to fit perfectly now, he even left extra fabric hidden inside the seams so we can let it out as my son grows. That means we'll get maybe another year out of it, which is such a thoughtful touch most people wouldn't even think of. He didn't write the price on the invoice, so I wrote "$30" on it myself to avoid any confusion. When I came to pick it up, he told me the price was $40. I showed him the invoice and reminded him that we had agreed on $30, but he still argued that I should pay $40. Reluctantly, he agreed to $30. Finally, when it was time to pay, he entered $33 into the credit card machine instead of $30. It may have been a credit card surcharge, but he never mentioned or explained it beforehand. He simply charged an extra $3 without telling me why. Between the missed pickup time, the disagreement over the agreed price, and the unexplained extra charge, I won't be returning.
