While I agree that the owner is a very pleasant person, she is just very busy. My items were promised in a week. One item was complete, the other hadn't been started. Went back as requested, one item was not altered correctly. I finally had both items 2 weeks after my first visit. I also feel I was overcharged for the work that was done. She fitted my items (pinned) while alternating servicing another client. Then she added up the ticket and seeing no price list posted, I was surprised at the cost. I felt I didn't have a choice to decline her services. Will keep looking for another alteration place. read more

The owner is a nice lady but this is a busy establishment. That normally would be a good sign but not so much for me. I took a new skirt to be hemmed and tapered and was not pleased with the initial results. After waiting a week for the final product, when I originally went to try on my skirt it was not well done. Fortunately, the owner was gracious enough to re-do the alterations at no additional charge. On the second attempt, the alterations were done well. However, there was still chalk dust and stray strings and lots of lint all over the skirt when I picked it up. Considering it was $35 to taper and hem a skirt, I expected the end result to look crisp and be clean. read more

I got a dress altered, and it seemed difficult and expensive to do (lined, zipper 3/4 down the back with a collar that has a button with loop) I thought the price was good for the amount of work, and it was cheaper than the other place I was going. I got two gowns altered (hemmed a few inches) for 30 dollars per gown which isn't the cheapest in the area and I thought was on the high end (given I bought those dresses on sale for $70/each). The seamstress did do a good job (hemming was even and professional). I also got a few buttons placed, a strap fixed, and some other minor work and that was $5 per garment. The seamstress has over 40 years experience and I think if you are looking for a moderately priced, good quality work this is a good option. read more

This woman is a Miracle Worker! She resurrected a jean jacket that had definitely seen better days. About 1/4 of the back had come apart due to wear and tear. I had a cold-shoulder dress that I bought thinking it would be perfect without the holes on them since I absolute dislike the cold-shoulder dress trend so I went to different tailors and they told me that they couldn't do anything but make it sleeveless, which I did not want. Came here as soon as it opened on a Monday morning. I had 2 items that I needed altered. One was a skirt that was flared out too much on the sides, so I needed it to be brought in a little, the other was a top that originally had 1 pocket on each side & I didn't like the pockets so I cut them out myself thinking you wouldn't be able to tell but it left 2 big holes, so I needed them sewn shut. They told me to come back the following Monday but I could not wait that long for the skirt because I needed it later that same day. They told me they would help me out & have it done by the end of the day for me! I said I could wait on the top, but when I came back at 3pm they had both of my items finished & they did a good job! Reasonably priced also. I will def be coming back to have a few pair of my jeans altered. (I'm short) lol. Also, the building is pink & super cute! Loved the little "ring the door bell" sign at the entrance. Made it feel homey. The 3 ladies I spoke with that day were all nice, friendly & helpful. read more
