Sounds interesting, right? That's what I thought so when we were out there for a meeting myself and a few co-workers decided to check it out. The first thing you notice when you walk in is that it's a large area with lots of seating, at the bar or tables, and there's 2 large coolers on one side, with a "hot station" on the back wall. All the food, which is prepared by Kitchen Door Catering, is in the coolers. Everything is fresh, home-made, mostly local and delicious. ALT also ensures that they switch it up fairly regularly to keep customers happy and well-fed. The beet salad is AMAZING, with homemade dressing and lots of local delicious veggies. My co-worker confirms that the breakfast sandwich (which you can heat or have cold) was one of the best he's ever had. My spring salad was also amazing - fresh made balsamic dressing, crunchy greens, lots of feta and tons of blueberries. YUM! I haven't utilized the bar yet(come on guys we were working!) but I chatted with the hotel Manager, Mark, and he tells me that everything they serve has been tested and approved by staff. Apparently, they did a craft beer testing tour to decide what brands were in and what were out. Awesome? I think so. I've been to ALTcetera three times in the past month and I have to say that if you're ever out at the airport and looking for a quick bite, or something tasty,well-priced and fresh - this is the place to go. However me and one of my friends were sleeping on a pull out couch only 1 fucking bed. The hotel did not have the two queens beds that were arranged when called in- but in returned offered a complimentary breakfast at the restaurant inside which was a 16.97 x2 guest for two morning. So overall $60 value which was quaint hot and cold breakfast buffet style. The pool was closed at the time, but the gym was available. The rooms were quite modern and the bathrooms were without the single use containers and had a central pump for soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion for guest. The room had the standard black out screen and great climate control. I found the booking good value for such a short notice arrangement.

There was a "Bear spotted on premises" sign on the front door as we entered the lobby. That was a bit spooky. That night my impulse was to keep looking for a bear! Fortunately, I never found one. I am a swimmer. The size of the pool was a little disappointing to me. It was too small for me to do my laps. Also, there was no jacuzzi. We stayed at a Super 8 the night before and it had a jacuzzi and a water slide for the kids. Guess since the airport isn't a vacation destination, amenities weren't high on the list.. We didn't try the restaurant. There was no free breakfast, not even a continental one. That too was disappointing. All the other hotels that we stayed at in the area had breakfast. The bed was comfy and we enjoyed a good night's sleep prior to our flight home. I was grateful for that.

We arrived a few hours before check-in and they accommodated us and provided us with a room. For checkout, they allowed us to checkout a bit later at 12 and they stored our luggage for free till 4pm when we had to leave for the airport. The room was clean and modern. You could control the lights with traditional on-off switch or with the touch screen panel on the wall. The touch screen panel also allowed you to control the temperature (fan and AC). They also had a tablet on the desk that you could use for hotel info, menu, etc..... They had a fully stocked snack and alcoholic drink cupboard that was weight sensor controlled and automatically charged you if you lifted anything. They also had free tea and nespresso pods. The bathroom was fully equipped with locciante products. They even had a loofah and a small nail file. We booked through Expedia and got a really good deal. Overall, I highly recommend booking this hotel.

My wife and I both ordered pasta dishes with shrimp. It came with only 3 medium shrimp! These aren't cheap dishes....And the sauce was bland. Service was alright, though it took a long time to figure out how to handle the $100 gift certificate. I was happy to leave. We won't be heading back there for brunch in the morning. The room comes with a cooked to order breakfast platter or sandwich. Breakfast is served at a reserved time in a large breakfast area near the front desk. You also have the option of having it sent to your room. The pool is a very good size. Only downside was that the water was extremely cold, even for the Canadians. I was able to warm up by doing my laps. They also have a designated adult swim hour between 10 and 11 at night. That was considerate because the families got in the way of my doing laps. The kids also got pretty loud because of the echos in the pool area. The actual room was very functional with a refrigerator. We had some issues with it being too cold. The front desk had to ask a building and grounds person to turn it off for us. They were very accommodating. All in all, the hotel was fine as well as reasonable and we would return on our next trip.
