We stopped here overnight on our drive to Florida and appreciated a few key things: check-in was quick and easy even at 12am, it's dog-friendly, and you can park right outside your room which was super convenient. The staff was friendly, and the room seemed very clean at first glance. Unfortunately, our stay took a turn. In the middle of the night, my dog wouldn't stop barking... and that's when I noticed a roach crawling across the bed. In the morning, I also found a baby roach in the bathroom... then before check out a few others, easily killed 6 roaches between midnight and 9am. While the price is right for a quick motel stop and the convenience can't be beat, the bugs were a big downside and made it hard to feel comfortable. If pest control improves, this would actually be a solid choice for a budget-friendly, pet-friendly road trip stop. Edit: I forgot to mention, the night we stayed was pretty hot. The air conditioner was running all night, but the room never really cooled down. It stayed humid and felt more like we had a fan blowing than actual AC. We ended up sleeping without any sheets or blankets and still woke up hot. (This might only be an issue for those who like to sleep under blankets with strong AC like we do.) read more

We stayed overnight while traveling. The price was inexpensive. Hotel was directly off of I-95. Everything was convenient for us. Our room had a comfortable bed, a clean shower, a fridge, microwave & ample towels, etc. Great working tv with plenty of channels. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They accused us of making a mess, leaving food and trash and were downright rude. Claimed it was because the hurricane coming through that affected the water pressure when it was the same the last time we stayed months prior. We would NEVER leave the room a mess not destroy property. The bed fell apart, they were hard and I'm sure others have said so although she says people rave about the beds, the fridge was leaning sideways and I could deal, I understand, a motel isn't going to be perfect. But what the woman wrote back in the email are false allegations I'm really disappointed. Considering they are beside the crack motel, it isn't much of a step up. We had no power and were affected by the hurricane coming through Lucama. We will not be staying again. If we had done something, I'd understand. Bare bones motel on the side of I95 in North Carolina. Dog friendly and free breakfast. Gas stations are across the street so it's basically a one stop overnight place to rest. Some road noise to deal with as its pretty close to the highway. Rates are very reasonable and I'd give it a 8 on the "clean scale". read more

Stayed for one night while on a road trip with my kids. Our interactions with the staff were pleasant and we found the beds and bedding to be rather comfortable along with decent breakfast options in the morning. You can hear the interstate, but the noise isn't anything some ear plugs couldn't handle. The place is in the midst of some renovations with paint and furniture as well. I would stay again if traveling through the area as I felt the price ($82 all in) was in line with the experience of not a value. read more

After calling several hotels asking about pet friendliness and non-smoking rooms, this was the first one that had what we needed. It was after midnight and we would have slept pretty much anywhere, but this one surprised us. Except for a spot on one of the bed covers (doesn't look like they clean these between every guest), the room was very clean and didn't smell like dog or cigarettes. I inspeced the cleanliness of the sheets and didn't find any hairs or other surprises like I usually do at 2-star hotels. I pulled the bed cover off and was very comfortable in the bed with 4 pillows to prop me up. And the table in the room was literally ready to fall over my son put his toy on it and the whole thing shook. Literally this was such a disappointment and disgusting I didn't even wanna stay any longer. So then I made my husband go and try to get a refund and check out immediately. He came back to the car and said that the lady will speak to the manager and that she was fed up because housekeeping wasn't doing their job and we were the fifth complaint this whole week and also that the rooms had to be stripped due to customers with Covid. The over all room would get 3 stars but the false advertisement of wifi deducted 1. The rooms were basic fridge, microwave 2 queens etc. Here's the thing, unless you are staying in the first two to three rooms their wifi is so weak it won't catch. For example we were staying in room 217 I had to literally walk to the front of the hotel; room 201 to even see that a signal existed. Bogus! Seriously! I stayed here on one of my North south trips. The room was good, it was clean had no funky odors (which was a problem around here I left two others tonight) the bed was comfortable. My only reason for the lower stars is I left my Ipad in the room when I checked out, at no time was I called and told the Ipad was there, I even called 48 hours later (sure it was tucked somewhere in my car) and was told no it is not here. About a week later, late at night I received the alert that my Ipad had been turned on. Checking the map it was not at the Quality but at the Deluxe Inn next door. if you have never used it the App gives you the location almost right where you are standing with the Ipad. I called explained and no one knew what I was talking about, I then said look I know you have my Ipad and I know you just turned it on and quickly turned it off, it is there and I want it back now do I need to send the Police or then she said she had it and was just trying to find who owned it (IDK) they knew that when they took it out of the room I stayed in. They would do nothing to facilitate the return of my Ipad but either I had to come and pick it up or have FedEx come with everything so they could just drop the Ipad in the envelope (except FedEx wouldn't do that) but I was successful in finding a pack and ship (The Packaging Place)that would. I got my Ipad back and I am happy. But question why no one ever called me. I once left my dogs blanket in a hotel and they called me right away for a little old blanket. Conclusion.....Make sure you have all of your belongings as you may never see them again. read more

I stayed here November 2016. This is a 4 for a 2 star hotel. I rate my hotels according to the class that they are in. The pros about this place - the bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of comfortable pillows, the room was clean, the curtains blocked out all the light, there was lots of hot water, great water pressure, soft towels, and they had a good breakfast with lots of variety including fresh fruit. Check-in and out was fast and efficient and the staff was friendly. I knock of one star because of the noise. This hotel sits right off the interstate and you can hear the traffic all night long. In addition, we could hear trains and the heating system was so loud we finally just turned it off. I recommend you ask for a room in the front because it is not as noisy as the back. Some minor inconveniences noted were you had to hold the toilet handle down for the length of the flush for it to really flush, the toilet moved a bit, and the shower sides were so slanted you could not keep anything on the holders. Minor inconveniences and to be expected with a 2-star hotel. I did not use the WiFi so I cannot comment on that. All in all, I would stay here again and thought it was a great deal for the money. read more

Okay, aside from the wifi negative, I can't rate because I did not use. This place deserverves a great rating. We happen to be choice hotels members and have stayed at many Quality Inn's. This one is VERY clean and updated.The decor is very modern, it shows that they've gone out of their way to do a thorough remodel. The location is conveniently located right off of Rte. 95, which is a plus. The staff is very friendly. We requested extended checkout because we arrived way past midnight and they said it was fine. The continental breakfast had the basic selections; cereal, danish, English muffins, mini muffins, juice, cofee. All rooms have microwave and fridge which is another plus. Avoid. After I stayed at this motel last week, I had bites on my body from my ankles all the way up to my face; I counted 70 bites. I had to seek medical treatment. Choice Hotels Customer Care tried to intervene with the motel management but they were unresponsive. When I called the motel, I was told that other people have stayed in that room since and have not had a problem. Their management appears not to understand how bed bug bites manifest - timing of bite reactions or feeding pattern of the bugs. There is no doubt based on my itinerary that I got the bites at this location. They need a professional exterminator. If the motel management had been willing to take this seriously I would not be writing a bad review. There is also a Google review from last November regarding bed bugs at this motel.
