We got a pet room, and it was NICE! Clean and didn't smell like dog butt. I'd stay here again!

They had an outdoor pool that looked nice but we didn't use it. They also had complimentary breakfast but we also didn't eat it this morning. My only complaint.... My advice... do not forget to hang your do not disturb tab.

Enough so that it's my main hotel wherever I visit Kingsport. Location - 5 out of 5 - beautiful views of the mountains but also easy access to the highways. There are restaurants and fast food nearby if needed. The building - 4 out of 5 - well maintained and clean. The rooms have reasonable wear but were in good condition. Comfort - 3 out of 5 - about what you would expect from a hotel bed and pillows. The room I stayed in this time (415) was rather large which was nice. Room amenities - 4 out of 5 - basic amenities such as microwave, fridge, coffee, and basic toiletries. What I really liked was the number of outlets. A total of about 10 in the room and 2 on each side of the bed. Also had basic USB in at least 3 of them (no USB-C). Though I didn't use either, they do have a pool and gym. Service - 3 out of 5 - everyone that I came into contact with was friendly, but then again I didn't come into contact with many people. Food - 3 out of 5 - basic breakfast food, nothing flashy. Always have hot options as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit. They switch up the hot options for those staying longer than a night. If visiting Kingsport, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Parking is free in the lot, which was surprising and appreciated. We checked in very late on a Thursday. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, if not very forthcoming with the information (such as, one of the guest elevators was shut down for "renovations", which left only one normal elevator for the entire hotel. They allowed guests to use the service elevator if the other was too busy, but that wasn't mentioned on check-in. Neither was the fact that parking was free and available anywhere, or the housekeeping schedule.) The room was large and comfortable, and mostly clean. We had a view out onto the golf course, and could tell that the side we were on was popular with birds...the evidence was splattered all over the windows. The bed was cozy, but I had to block the alarm clock's display with the TV remote because it would reset its dimness level (I turned it off before turning out the lights) in the middle of the night. We didn't take advantage of any of the room service or in-hotel dining options, but the lounge was always busy and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. The lobby was clean and bright, with lots of spots to sit and lounge. Also a bonus that the hotel is pet-friendly.

When she asked why we were staying there, I said we had been visiting my mother and we're on our way home. .it was a lie, but none of their business. They refused to let us stay there because 'we lived within 50 miles' of the hotels, and it is their policy. We were treated like scumbags. As soon as we left to try to find somewhere else to stay, my car engine smoked and blew up. Had we stayed there, that would have happened on our way to the Gastroentrology Associates for the procedure. We had to be towed back to our home. I have never been treated so bad and w such suspicion. I felt very bad.

We were out of towels, toilet paper, coffee, cups, soap, on day two. I went to the front desk and ask for room service for our second night, was told no problem, needless to say there was no room service on the second day. The trash cans were full the floors were dirty, no room items were useable at all. This continued for the third night.. These three nights were $400.00 for a single bed. We would have been more comfortable in our truck. The continental breakfast was un edible. I will never stay in this comfort Inn again under any circumstances. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this hotel.

Located adjacent to Dollar General and residential space, its a little tucked away and off the road at an awkward angle in between E. Stone Drive and Lynn Garden. When you exit Stone, you have to make a sharp U-turn almost into the Dollar General parking lot to access Super 8. The room itself isn't bad. Its not new, yet not terribly old. You can tell that the furniture is slightly dated. I stayed on the second floor within the rear of the property, which allowed for greater privacy. There is plenty of parking, and the WiFi speed was good. Breakfast is pretty much coffee, juice, waffles, cereal and toast/cinnamon bun items. The rate was reasonable at $65. Given its location and the winter storms that shut down access into both Bristol and Johnson City, I considered the room rate to be good at the times of my stay. I greatly appreciated the customer service given by the employees, in addition to the GM, Mr. Jeff Pecor. He really looks out for the guests. While he has staff that completes regular housekeeping & night audit duties, it was welcoming to see him assist his staff members by shoveling snow while also engaging guests in a friendly manner. One very professional GM that I appreciate. Overall, I would rate this property a 3.5, yet Yelp won't let me do that. I hope that they could get a few more breakfast items rather than having the bare minimum continental breakfast standards. The rooms aren't bad, yet could be better. While there are other hotel/motel options further down the road (i.e, Red Roof Inn) as well as into Kingsport, this Super 8 is an okay option if you want to stay close to the main hospital area (1 mile away) as well as main shopping access that you would find on E. Stone.
