OMG, this hotel is a dump. Actually to call it a "dump" is rude to all other dumps in the world. It demeans other dumps to be lumped into the same category. It appears that the hotel is undergoing an update or upgrade. At least that's why I hope the sign was taken down from the outside of the building. The lobby belied the condition of the rest of the hotel. It appeared to be fairly nice - furniture new, staff nice. Signs about breakfast, y'know the usual. The trip back to the room was decorated with bad water damage in the lobby on the ceiling and an elevator blocked by a trash can. I assume out of order. To get to the room, you had to basically walk into a wall and make a 90 degree turn into the hallway. It was strange. The room... oh my, the room. It was a room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that had a very small (but hotelish) patio. The patio overlooked what I think might have at one time been a swimming pool. It was covered (sort of ) with blue tarp. Honestly it looked like it smelled stale and stank. I didn't risk it. It could have been fresh like a rose. The curtain over the sliding door no longer hung properly and let in light. I hoisted a chair over to it and did a quick repair as to not have a light shining on me all night. Air conditioning had two settings: blazing hot or freezing cold. I had to go to the front desk for a second bath towel. Sadly I did not take an inventory of towels and discovered, too late, that there wasn't a wash cloth or a bath mat. The shampoo was like if you took the cheapest shampoo you could find and watered it down. There was a very friendly cricket who would have been happy to keep me company all night. I shooed him out into the hallway. The carpet made you want to wear shoes the entire time. It was old and crunchy and really a funky color. (Perhaps to match the nasty carpet in the hallway.) The comforter on both beds had burn holes in them and were made out of a material I think they used to make car seat covers back in the 60's. I think. This wonderful stately room came as part of a package through good ole Priceline. I did not get a choice on the hotel. It was chosen for me. It cost nearly $80. Yes, I said EIGHTY DOLLARS. For that I could have stayed in a nice room. I have a policy of always saying something nice so here goes: my room was not broken into in the wee hours of the night by crazed Ninjas who stole the little bitty teeny tiny packets of weak coffee. And the cricket seemed to be in tune. If you know what key crickets normally crick (?) in. Which I don't so I'm only assuming there. He certainly was proud of his work. Godspeed to those who are going to try to refurbish this place. May I suggest a wrecking ball and bulldozer? An update for anyone who made it this far: I called Choice and they gave me 4,000 points on my loyalty account. You can't even get a free room at possibly the worst hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska (AKA "Quality Inn" referenced above) for 4K points. read more

Sleep in your car if you have nowhere else to go. I'd like a refund for my recent stay and for the following reasons and plan to pursue it: 1. Desk clerk said, and in these words, "this is my first day; I don't know where nothing is and I probably ain't gonna be very helpful to ya." A desk clerk should have a basic command of grammar not to mention courtesy. 2. The facilities looked horrendous, slovenly and run down. 3. My room had bugs as well as stained sheets. I have pictures of these. 4. The room was damp and moldy. 5. The toilet didn't work properly. 6. The door to the room was hard to open and close. 7. The breakfast was passable, but processed eggs and convenient store pastries is hardly "full breakfast." Part of the reason I selected this hotel was because it advertised a full breakfast. 8. The fitness room was out of operation. According to the clerk the next morning, "our fitness center is out of order because someone was smoking in it (while exercising) and burned it down." Part of the reason I selected this hotel for my stay was because it advertised a fitness center. 9. In a non-smoking hotel, I would expect marijuana to be included in the policy. Most of the first floor, where I stayed, was overwhelmed with the smell. 10. All of this was the same price as a lovely Radisson across the street who couldn't honor my reservation because they were overbooked. read more

I'm surprised I'm even alive to be able to rate this hotel.... Between the elevator almost pulling a tower of terror on us and that cloud of sweet Mary Jane greeting us on our floor, it is definitely a stay I won't forget. The lighting was great, considering a lampshade was missing... I loved the view from our chain locked back door and the old moldy sink. Couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars. Overall a good experience. Check in was super quick and the lady at the front desk (Mandy maybe??) was super nice in person and when I spoke to her on the phone. For a Saturday night in Lincoln after a Huskers game it was pretty quiet. We were driving through on our way to Minneapolis from Denver and just needed a place to sleep for the night. Room was pretty clean. Could use some updating to make it more aesthetically pleasing but oh well. Bed was SO comfy. I slept super well. Bathroom was clean. The toilet is shoved between the shower and sink and the toilet paper is placed in a tight spot but it works for one night. We slept in (comfy beds!) so we missed breakfast. Overall, a good place for a quick stay! read more

My wife I and I stayed here after a Huskers football game. The front desk clerk was friendly and we were checked into our room quickly and efficiently. The elevator and hallways were dingy and smelled of cigarette smoke however. Our room was at the complete end of the hallway on second floor. The room was quiet and secluded. The beds and linens were very nice. There was a refrigerator and microwave. The motel has free WiFi. After checking in to our room, we were disappointed to learn that the lobby bar, The Sky Box, had closed. In the morning, we checked out the complimentary breakfast but decided to go to IHOP instead. Overall, I would recommend this motel and will consider staying here again. read more

This was the worst Hotwire deal I have ever received. Hotels like this should not even be associated with the Hotwire brand as it makes them look bad. I have used Hotwire for a couple years and this was by far the worst hotel they have ever selected for me. Upon check-in, the guy at the counter was friendly. No complaints there. Smelled of heavy smoke however in the lobby. The room was weird. Two bright fluorescent lights as lighting. Only one lamp worked. Settled for that because the fluorescent lights were blinding. Walls were paper thin. Heard guy next door hacking all night and hearing most of the conversation he was having especially while I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed. Holes in wall. Outlets of some sort hanging out the wall in two locations. My bed had a hand towel under one of the pillows on my bed. DISGUSTING! Beds were not really that comfortable at all. Bathroom is tiny. Shower head was grimy and hasn't looked like it has been cleaned in months. Wi-Fi barely worked and was really slow. Ended up using phone data instead because the speed was that of dial-up quality. It fits the theme and look of this hotel though. Tout free breakfast yet you need a voucher that I never received for either day I was there. Ended up just going to a store and getting items for breakfast instead. Location looks run down. Porn shop could be seen from window. Very slum. Went to check out around 6:30am and waited for around 10 minutes for someone to show up at an unattended front counter. No sign to indicate where he was or anything. This place is in need of a serious upgrade. You get what you pay for is such a terrible excuse because if you put the name quality in your name, you better dish it out. Quality is the last thing this place is! The rooms are old and not as nice as the pictures. I found cat food and a box denture cream in my room! None of the gym equipment works, tv in the gym didn't work, restaurant is closed for liquor violations, laundry machines were shut down, pool was shut down and none of this was advised when we called. I went to front desk to ask for quarters for laundry and she gave them to me without even telling me the laundry was closed! The cleaning ladies do not clean the rooms properly but they bring their kids to work as they run around screaming. This place is just awful. You'd have better luck at the travelodge next door. read more

This place was so bad. We came into town and Expedia messed up our reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn so we got stuck here. The last room left in the city because the football game - and it was a smoking room. Eww! Thank god the bed sheets were clean. The wall had some gross brown gooey stain on it. The shower was so old and nasty. And the towels were so worn and thin - like they hadn't bought new ones in decades. The elevator was pretty ancient too. $79 for the room but I wish we stayed in the car!! One star because I have to and because the front desk man was nice and cordial! read more

Our entire room was unusable as it was filthy (moldy grout on the bottom of the bath, feces caked on the toilet seat, stains on the bed spread and sheets) and we could not sleep there nor utilize the toilet or shower. Have attempted to speak with several representatives in the Choice Hotels company and told no one is able to issue a refund but the manager, who is unresponsive to myself and the other employees claiming to attempt to reach him on my behalf. read more

If a zero was an option I would select it. This place is a total dump, it is a run down outdated Best Western. I stayed at this dive when I was in Lincoln for the Garth Brooks concert on 10/21/2017 and I was charged twice for a one night stay and the manager refused to give me a refund and when I filed a dispute with my card issuer the manager lied and claimed I stayed two nights which in fact I was there for one. It is interesting how they can change information on the receipt to best suit them and screw over the customer. The heater in the room didn't work, the hallway reeks of mold, the elevator is old and seems unsafe. All in all this place is a real dump.It has bad reviews on Choice Hotels website. read more

Cat urine and mildew!!! We came in late and got a lower level room that smelled like a cross between cat urine and mildew. What happened here? My eyes were actually watering when I was trying to sleep. My husband refused to leave because we had to sleep for just 6 hours and leave. So I was stuck there. I think our room was $90. What a complete rip off. That room (114) shouldn't be sold until you get that smell out of there. The furniture like the office chair was well worn to the stuffing on the head rest and the couch arms were soiled with it looked like oil from your hands. Yuck. Come on! How can a room get this bad? I was hesitant to book a room here after reading the previous reviews. Before making my decision I walked into the lobby to check out the place and asked a customer, who was hanging out there, how the hotel was holding up. He said it's a fair price and clean. The employee at the front desk was a nice guy and I ended up getting a room for $60. He also said that they were renovating the top floor of the hotel but I didn't notice any construction or debris on the way to my second floor room. The room had a flat screen tv, two double beds, mini fridge, and a small balcony. There was also a free continental breakfast available which wasn't the best but was enough. I'm glad that I decided to stay in the Quality Inn instead of the hotels/motels in the surrounding area. read more

This is an older hotel, if you are expecting a new Hilton this is not it. That being said the hotel is clean, the staff is super friendly and the price is right! I stayed in another hotel in Lincoln for 2 weeks straight that made me feel like I was in prison. I wish that I had found this place sooner! read more

The main thing I can say about this motel and it's employees is WOW!!! I understand this motel has been renovated and is under new management or ownership, and it shows in the looks of the motel and the friendliness of the staff. The negative reviews definitely do not reflect the Quality Inn in January 2015, and that is a shame. Another plus is that it is very close to the airport. The prices are very reasonable as well. About $60 if I remember right. I felt very safe. I called to see if I could leave my car parked there while I flew to Orlando for a week. Katrina said NO PROBLEM! I stayed there the night before my flight. They asked me to let them know a little before I needed the shuttle service so they could have the van all warmed up for me. I talked to Erika and Mandy to see if I could leave my keys in the motel safe while I was gone. NO PROBLEM! The room was spotless, and very quiet. They have a wonderful breakfast with lots of choices, waffles, rolls, cereal, fruit, etc. Skip is the shuttle driver. He delivered me right to the United gate so I just had to walk in the door without freezing on the way in. When I got back, I called when I landed. By the time I got my baggage, I was ready to go. It was great not to have to trudge through the snow and freezing cold to my car in the airport parking lot, then have to pay the parking fee. I will definitely stay at the Quality Inn in the future, and highly recommend this motel for anyone wanting a clean, friendly, and inexpensive stay that feels like home. We should have known something was up when we pulled up and saw the "a" was was not working on their sign - making it a Qulity Inn. The plus side was friendly staff doing the best they can to check us into a hotel that has not had much reinvestment in a long time. The printer didn't work at the front desk, there was apparent, neglected water damage to the walls and ceilings. What little care the hotel has received in upkeep has been sloppy, with paint haphazardly applied. The room's two paintings were both equally askew. The room is dated and the walls need some work. As we walked to the large room for free breakfast we were greeted by an expired liquor license violation-indicative of the experience. The uncleaned counter bottoms matched the stained wall behind the drink dispenser. It was evident there were few people staying here by the small amount of food prepared,and the fact that the bagels and small muffins were wrapped in plastic made me wonder just how many days had they went unchosen. No one should have to stay here. As a side note the printer was still not fixed in the morning and the only way to get a receipt was to have it emailed. read more

Negative 100 stars. It has one star highlighted right now because Yelp made me. Let's start with the stairwell... There was broken whiskey bottles, used toilet paper, and soiled clothing on the floor. And there was the foulest odor; the odor was actually EVERYWHERE! The door to my room didn't even fit the door frame - which definitely didn't help the fact that I felt like I would get raped just walking down the hallway by myself. The rat holes in the wall added a nice accent to the décor. Oh! And the blood stains and strands of hair left in between the sheets were very inviting. The pool had tires at the bottom. Car tires. (Complementary inner tubes.) And the other guy wasn't lying when he said the elevator door opened too early. So much for the 2012 inspection certificate hanging inside. I especially loved the taste of the expired pop from the snack shop. Super great. Now, the service. The employees were smoking & drinking while on duty!! Like seriously?! For real?! I really wish I was lying. We didn't sleep all night. We stayed up in the lobby playing pool the whole night. There's more, but if I told you, you wouldn't believe me. Totally outdated - nasty wallpaper and dirty carpet, musty smell, many holes in wall, had to hold down flusher on toilet, patio door rigged dangerously to keep closed, cracked a/c. Nasty, nasty place. All breakfast items tasted like cardboard, although breakfast ladies were very friendly. Next morning, young lady at desk was too busy on her smartphone to notice who went in or out or if anyone needed help. About $75 with tax ... may have been worth $5! I was recently on a cross country motorcycle trip and had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel. For the most part, Quality Inn has been a decent place to stay in my experience, this place not so much. When I first arrived they had no cable or internet. I thought, okay all I need is a shower and a decent bed. The cable was restored by the time I returned from getting dinner. As I was watching TV, I noticed something crawling down my pillow onto my shoulder, I looked over it was a COCKROACH. By this time it was 10pm and I was not going to take a chance on another room (where there is one, there is more) and it was too late to pack all of my stuff and try to find another hotel, I had another 500 miles to ride the next day. I killed the roach and put it in a cup to bring to the front desk in the morning, tried to pack up my gear so I wouldn't be bring a colony of roaches back with me and tried not to think about sleeping with the enemy. In the morning I checked out and notified the receptionist of my experience. She said there was no manager on duty so all she could do was take off the taxes and give me the mangers number to call later that day. When I called back to speak with the manager, she informed me there was nothing she could do to compensate me since I had stayed the night. Apparently, cockroaches are part of the experience at this hotel. I am not one to try and take a company for advantage, however, I feel they should have at LEAST comped the room rate. I could have easily unknowingly packed up a few hitchhikers in my luggage and started a colony at my house, of which I would be paying for to have terminated. Word to the wise, find another hotel in the area or sleep in your car, I unfortunately did not have the option on a motorcycle. Judging by the number of negative reviews still on here, none of this will be remedied in my case, but thought I would make fellow travelers aware. read more

Appalling and horrifying. I've stayed at many Quality Inns and found them to be uniformly nice, which is why I trusted that the Quality Inn in Lincoln, a major university town, would also be nice. Big mistake. This place is one cruel joke after another. In the most disgusting motel bathroom I have ever seen in the United States there is the usual Quality Inn sign with glowing description of top-grade bath amenities. (Like, shower tiles with corroded and moldy grout? Ceiling looking like it's about to fall in where the huge stain is? Cracked and broken floor tiles? Tub that can't be scrubbed clean because it's too stained?) Seriously? We paid money for this? Every surface in the whole place, including the parking lot, is stained, cracked, marked, broken, falling apart. Curtains coming off the rods. Wallpaper peeling. Elevators absolutely filthy and terrifying--door opens before elevator has come to a stop. A sign on the table says if you are not satisfied with the quality or service, notify the desk immediately so they can make it right. How would they make this right? read more
