Shortly after the kids arrived, the manager approached me and said the hotel doesn't allow birthday parties. I explained that I work as an Uber and Lyft driver and regularly transport high school and college students to and from events at this hotel, but he said he didn't believe me. While I can't prove anything definitively, it seemed the issue arose when he saw a large group of Black guests arriving. The parents were simply dropping off their children, some of whom were later picked up, and yet the staff's demeanor shifted noticeably. At one point, their tone also changed when they noticed my "Veterans Against Trump" bumper sticker. While they made some accommodations, it felt more like fear than a genuine desire to help. As a combat veteran and small business owner, I expect respectful and fair treatment wherever I go. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet that standard. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this hotel. Service should not depend on race or political views, and the treatment we received was disappointing and unprofessional.

We chose this hotel because they allowed pets and I just adopted a 9 week old corgi and didn't have anyone to watch her. We got a King sized suite with it's own hot tube. Our room was so spacious we were able to keep our dog crate in and still have plenty of room to walk around. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the bar/restaurant or the indoor pool. I wasn't sure when I booked the room if it had a pool so I didn't bring my swimsuit. Either way we were still able to enjoy ourselves in the room and even ordered pizza one night that was delivered right to our room. We were able to check in late Friday because it was a 5 an a half hour drive for us and since we both worked we didn't leave until 4pm. The down fall was I couldn't find a front desk person to check in and another woman who came in after me to check in went to look for her after we waiting 15 minutes and tried using the phone to dial for help. The wifi didn't work either but we didn't mind using our data off our phones since we were only there from Friday night to Sunday morning. I would definitely come back.

I will ask Expedia to REMOVE them from their site. They should not showcase a business that doesn't respect it's customer who through no fault of theirs cannot come to the hotel.
