We encountered staff that didn't know what they were doing to staff that made you ask for things that should have been done to things not working in the room. We had a small party for my daughter here and it was a shit show when we walked in. The young man that took my over the phone reservation failed to tell me that do not allow parties in the rooms. The man at the front desk the next morning (older gentleman) had to be asked to unlock the pool room tho it was already last open time for the pool. The reply we got was "I thought kids would be sleeping still". Does it matter? The only decent part was the lady at check in who helped make it all right even while training someone. Thank you to her. Will not recommend this hotel. read more

We had a room on the second floor. I didn't know when we booked that it was a handicapped room. My mistake. Cons: Didn't get much sleep because our hallway light flickered on all night. One of our blankets had a bright red stain on it. It was pretty gross, didn't know whether it was blood or nail polish. The room keys did not work on some of the guest entrances to the pool or the patio by the pool. Pros: Bed was cozy. Check in was easy. Breakfast was good. Parking was ample. Hotel is close to a lot of restaurants. read more

Nice clean room. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Beds were soft. They had an eating area that looked to be open if you brought your own drinks or food. Price was a little higher but it was worth it to k is that the quilt would be good. read more

My floor reeked of cigarette smoke on two constitutive nights and when I reported it to the young man at the front desk he immediately told me there was nothing he could do about it if I couldn't identify the room it was coming from. Seeing as I didn't fancy investigating to the extreme by inserting my nose against every possible offending door on my floor, I "coffee lidded" it and made due; prayed my clothes would not absorb the stink through the walls. Lots of negatives-sorry. I associate customer service with care and attention as well as security. And those things are not at this hotel. It's poorly managed, it's poorly manned and the result is evident. Oshkosh has the Hilton Garden Inn-older but decent, nice bar and restaurant, indoor pool and they acknowledge the gym is a joke and offer free gym passes. If you don't rate points you'll pay for breakfast, but it's an awesome buffet breakfast. The Hawthorne Inn is older and needs help too sometimes, but they have some huge rooms, suites with full kitchen areas, a small bar and OK free breakfast. And kids will LOVE the pool play area. Gym sucks here to as well though. There is also the Fairfield. Nice enough. Don't recall any pluses or negatives about this location. read more

We stayed here and our room wreaked of butt and also our comforter was stained with blood and tinted yellow. I called the front desk and Brittany answered. All she said was, "I can get you a blanket, best I can do!" Are you kidding me? We paid $145 for this room and that's all you can say. No apologies, no care in the world. I am extremely disappointed and was by far the worst stay I've ever had here. read more

We had so many issues with Comfort Suites. Our room was non-smoking but definitely smelt of cigarettes the entire time. The pullout couch was filthy, not sure when it was last cleaned. Another individual in our group found an opened condom wrapper under his bed. Check in and out process was rough. Our group needed to split the payments of one of our rooms and attempted to do this at check-in. At check-out, they charged all three rooms to one card and had a lot of difficultly fixing their mistake. Positives that came out of this experience, Thursday night's Manager Happy Hour and the friends I traveled with. The bartenders were very kind and even I.D.d my older friends. read more

Pros -clean -happy hour -location - cookies Cons - walls are thin, you can hear conversations and TVs - shady ppl - fitness center - while the Internet is free it cuts out a lot. I know I know if it's free don't complain, but as a choice member I expect to have reliable complimentary Internet (I.e Hhonors, Marriott rewards) Will not come back, walls are extremely thin. We had our entire wedding party stay at this hotel. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were great!The Manger (Wendy) was so helpful every step of the way coordinating our reservations (she even got us all in the same floor!!) She went about and beyond to make all of our guests feel welcomed and made the check in process seamless. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with a large group or just passing through! read more

The room was nice, however the tub stopper didn't work at all. We didn't bother calling the front desk because earlier in the evening we requested extra chairs (called three times) and never received them. We didn't want to wait forever for someone to come fix the tub stopper. Pool was nice, loved the kiddie pool. Ran out of towels several times during the few hours we were down there. Towels could be bigger. Overall, nice stay. read more

Hair in my shower, pool is disgustingly dirty, lobby bathroom had clogged toilet full of shit, great place to take the kids

First, the staff was nice, and very helpful to us as we had to stop unexpectedly as we were passing through. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms/halls are nice. The pool area however, was disgusting. The hot tub had a huge amount of sand/dirt in the bottom, and the water smelled like mold. The pool was okay, but the whole thing was pretty dirty. If you are skipping the pool it's a really nice hotel. They advertise the pool as a kids play area, and that is pretty lacking as well. Hopefully that area is cleaned up to match the rest of the hotel. read more

I have been a member of Choice hotels since 2011 I've stayed at many different hotels all over. The moment I stepped into the room I can see popcorn on the floor you could tell the maid hasn't vacuum or clean the toilet or clean the table surface the air-conditioner didn't seem to be working properly so I checked to see and I found the filter completely clogged with dust and dirt my wife and I spent 45 minutes cleaning the air conditioner We used 4 wash rugs they all turn black, if this room is that bad I'm sure all the others are two there seems to be a lack of proper maintenance and possibly training for the maids, whoever is in charge of this hotel needs to be fired choice hotels I know are better than this I hope this message can help change things it's a great location and the hotel doesn't seem to be that old. read more

Room furniture was ripped and beat up. Fridge did not work. Door to the cabinet on the fridge was almost pulled off hinge. Previous guest's hair in the bed. FLOOR IN THE ROOM WAS FULL OF OTHER PEOPLE'S CRUD, GARBAGE, DISGUSTING. Pool was disappointing and dirty. Deck chairs should be tossed out, they were so stretched out the fabric touched the floor.....THE WORST PART IS THAT I PAID way more FROM EXPEDIA.....ANYONE WALKING IN PAYS far less!!! I wasn't supposed to know that though. The front desk clerk accidentally showed me. Then, she would not give me a receipt, either. Not worth the extra money. At checkout, there were 2 extra room charges on my exit report that made no sense....there is no explanation for that, either. For the cost, I expected higher quality. read more

Horrible cat pee/mildew stench in Room 110,and they did nothing when we complained twice. Toilet ran. TV did not work. They are renovating but have no business putting anyone in a room with such a stench. Do not stay in that room. read more

This Hotel is in bad shape the room is disgusting the sink was clogged up air conditioning wasn't working properly whoever cleaned the room did not do a good job at all there was trash , popcorn, and glitter on the floor doesn't look like anybody clean the tables or the door or the bathroom floor corners and around the toilet etc. stay away from this comfort inn seems like the managers or whoever's in charge isn't paying attention to anything lack of maintenance meds that aren't doing their jobs right I could go on and on it's terrible. read more

I had an extended stay here for work and enjoyed the hotel and it amenities. Shakira (front desk) really made me feel at home (I was here 5 weeks) and was the nicest and most genuine employee here :) the front desk manager, Amber, however was far less friendly and lacked simple customer service skills. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good, and the happy hour Monday thru Friday was a nice way to relax and interact with other guests who (for the most part) were also there for an extended stay. I enjoyed staying here despite the attitude of the previous mentioned employee. read more

Spent the weekend here with our large dog. They were so accommodating and welcoming. The room was quiet and very clean and we loved the soft plushy beds. We enjoyed every minute, this is truly a pet friendly hotel. read more
