Although the decor feel's dated, it was in decent shape. The room was clean too, and very large and spacious. Free breakfast was good, and there was a big selection. Location is right off the road, but not by much else. Which is good for travelers, since there are no loiterers in the parking lot. It felt pretty safe. My only complaint was the low flow shower head, and the traffic noise from the road. All in all, it was a good value for the money.

The breakfast was good but next time whoever does the right change, should advise the customer on the phone that they are going to be spending almost twice as much as what they reserved the room for.

The only email I had, however, was the original Best Western Email, so when I showed up, the guy behind the desk claimed he did not have my reservation and the email meant nothing. In what has to be an AMAZING COINCIDENCE 2 nights before a major celestial event in which ALL hotels in a 10 mile radius are FULLY BOOKED, he tells me he has a room for $250 for the 2 nights... I didn't ask, but HOW TF can he possibly have a room available if there wasn't a reservation to hold it... Like I said, an amazing coincidence. Instead, I told him I'd rather sleep in my car. Despite a lot of hype on the website about sanitation, we walked into the lobby to two staff not wearing masks, and no signs requiring people in the lobby to wear masks. The lady who checked me in also was coughing without a mask while handling my ID and having me come close to the counter to sign paperwork (although she did use hand sanitizer after). I did not feel assured that COVID19 precautions are being followed at this location. The room was otherwise ok, surprisingly large, although smelled like smoke and had a lot of stains on the rug, it was to a normal standard of a similar motel.

Someone even had a boat and their truck parked. The boat or something was charging in the Motel 6 plug! Walked upstairs, looks like fresh paint on the grey walls. :-) Door swung open to a beautiful room that looked recently redone. No ugly carpet! Fresh flooring, beds that were off the ground, fresh sheets, very retro and homey vibe. Beds were firm, not saggy. Shower worked well, toilet worked well. The room slept pretty good. The AC blew very cold!! You can hear the traffic of the highway, but to me it was like a white noise sound and lulled me to sleep. The room also had a TV microwave, amd dorm size fridge. Woke up the next morning and found a little shop to eat in, headed there now on our way back out of town. This was a perfect place to stop and rest on our 12 hour drive trying to get out of Texas.
