We checked in for Thanksgiving Day and it wasn't alot of people. But we came back after 9pm and the parking lot was full and there were no vacancies. So i'm glad we reserved a few weeks in advance. The rate was reasonable. When we booked online it was pretty easy. They also give a discount if you sign up for their members card. When i walked in a customer was upset that they held money on her card. But the clerk tried to explain why her card was charged. She was very patient with the customer but the lady did not care!! I think she handled it well. I went to the room and it was a decent room but there were some leaks that had been patched in the bathroom. Some things were outdated, but I've been in way worse hotels, so i feel we got our moneys worth. The doors lock at 10pm so random people can't just walk in which made me feel safer. This hotel is one of the only ones in this town so it definitely does the job. Its not fancy but for under $100 its worth it. Theres a small shopping center across the street and restaurants in the area. Theres also a Dollar General next door if you need snacks or toiletries. They also serve a continental breakfast with waffles, muffins, coffee, juice, and etc. The waffles were good. I will stay here again if I'm in the area. 3.5 stars!! read more

My stay at this location over the Laborday weekend, was the absolute WORST! motel experience in my entire life!! ... I checked in on Aug.30th. at 4: pm. I was placed on the 2nd. floor, (I had requested a handicap rm. I have a legal up to date handicap hang card ) ... I was told none were available... the room looked like some one was staying in it! YIKES! ... back downstairs I go... was given another rm. again on the 2nd. floor! ..... This room had many issues! .. the TV didn't work!! the radio didn't work! The shower was spraying water out all over the place!!! the floor was completely wet when I got out!! .... the desk phone didn't work, and the front desk was not answering my cell phone calls!!! it was getting late, and my companion was there so we could go to dinner..... By time I returned they had no alternate rm. to place me in... UGH! I was forced to suffer the motel from HELL... On the next morning, they transferred me to another room, a handicap rm. on the ground floor.... This room also had issues!! ... The refrigerator didn't work! the temperature control knob was broken off!! ... The room fire alarm was Chirping!! it needed a new battery, only it was about 8 feet up on the ceiling and the desk on duty said he had no way to fix it! UGH!!!!!!! ...... The bath rm. had no hair dryer!! I have long hair!! to my waist!!! and didn't bring one because the motel info. said the are equipped with a hair dryer... And the handicap shower was the absolute WORST! CHEAP set up I have ever! experienced .... A flimsy $20.00 plastic Bench seat that I had to place in the shower myself!!! and I thought it was gonna collapse when I sat down on it!!! ... Then I thought I could finally settle in for the night.... WRONG!!!! there were some work people there " a hired Construction crew" .... THESE PEOPLE DECIDED TO HAMMER AND SAW WITH AN ELECTRIC SAW RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW TO MY ROOM!!! IT WAS NEARLY 10:00 AT NIGHT!!!! .... I had to limp to the front desk (I have two knee replacements, less than one year old) as this rm. phone didn't work either!! and no one was answering my cell ph. calls ..... Told the desk person about the construction crew outside my room window... he went outside and Caught them in the ACT!! of making all this noise!!! .... Then almost as soon as the motel desk person left .... the construction crew started up again!!!!! UGH!!!!!! I have reported all of this, and the night desk person also took notes down to give to the manager when she returned for her Vacation!! I sent her an Emai. about my Horrendous experience! within 3 days of my departure on Sept 1st. It took 10 days for the motel manager to contact me! by Email.... I really felt that my experience warranted a more personal contact...... Nothing! in her Email said anything about any! compensation... NOTHING! ... only a lousy impersonal Email Apology for the egregious! amount of Failure this motel had on one person in a TWO NIGHT STAY! ...... I have asked for 50% discount... I was trying to meet halfway... I should have left that location, but it would have added more travel time on me to the area I needed to be in.... I don't feel that I'm asking too much ... I have placed an additional call to the manager; a note was placed on her door per the desk person I spoke with... I requested a phone call .... It's now been over two weeks and that call has never been placed to me.... I am now sharing my egregious! experience to the public .. I have tried to speak with the manager on this and have tried to be reasonable... They aren't contacting me back; they are not trying to be reasonable and fair on the worst! motel experience in my entire! life.... I had a reservation for two nights at the hotel. I arrived around 10:30 to check in for my room, I waited at the empty front desk for about 5 minutes before trying to call the hotel to find someone to help me, there was no answer after several attempts. Two maintenance workers were there working on something and assisted in tracking down the front desk person. After 30 minutes of waiting they found him. He offered no apology for this inconvenience and simply stated that he was helping someone with their TV. When I expressed that this wasn't acceptable, he immediately got an attitude, saying if it was your TV you wouldn't be complaining. The attitude continued as I explained that this was not acceptable customer service. At this point he gets on the phone with whom I'd suspect was his manager. In front of me telling them over the phone how rude and disrespectful I am, Mind you I haven't even raised my voice. Hangs up the phone and proceeds to tell me that I should find somewhere else to stay tonight, It's past 11PM now. I explained that I have a reservation and to please just get me my key. He then threatens me to call the cops if I don't leave. I ask for a refund before I leave, No. Can I speak with the manager, No. DO NOT STAY HERE, WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. If this is now how the hotel is now, COVID had to be a total nightmare! I never write reviews ... but this is so necessary!! Absolutely horrible. First room they gave me was musty, bathroom nasty, room telephone broken couldn't call front desk, bathroom light stuck and wouldn't turn on, dead bugs all over the floor, hole on the floor baseboard looked like mice may have been there entrance. REALLY! Second room, still musty! Now more surprises: telephone worked, but no answer at front desk, someone left half eaten cans of food in the refrigerator, floor covered with dropped food all over the floor, bathroom sink stopped up, you had to fight faucet handle to turn on/off, towel set for one person -had to go look for towels, no tub mat, peeling/cracked ceiling tiles, TV kept turning off. I'm positive sheets were not freshly/cleaned, I could smell the presence of whoever had been in the bed before I got there. I slept in my clothes! The swimming pool was broken for repair. I was told the front desk could not be manned 24-hours because of internal staffing issues, closed at 11:00PM - after that you're own your own - REALLY!! I was told to park on the side because it was a better entrance near the room, outside door doesn't work ... called front desk for help - no answer .... REALLY! Breakfast - Coffee machine broke ... REALLY! cold cereal and waffles - REALLY! Lots of construction workers stay here too. Front desk attendant fine as long as you don't ask for to much ... dealt with issues with an attitude! I got my 10K steps in running back and forth to the front desk! I saw housekeeping personnel, but they do the bare minimum! I have stayed at many hotels including Quality Inn's, and have never experienced anything like this. I will not stay here ever again! "Some say you get what you pay for", I disagree - I payed my hard earned money at the prices they charged me, and did not get my monies worth at all. However, Reginald-staff member, did try to provide some assistant to me and my sister and we appreciate him being cordial and polite. read more

We checked in tonight and were treated to the scent of sewage in the lobby. The elevator was out of order, so four women over 65 were left with no way to get our bags to the second floor. Thank goodness ANOTHER GUEST helped us with the task. The room is reasonably tidy, but the bathroom ceiling paint is peeling. Ick. Oh, yes: the room phone did not work at all, so when I wanted to call the front desk, I used my cell phone. (Not the end of the world, but certainly a safety hazard for anyone without a cell phone.) Best of all, when I mentioned this to the desk clerk, his stock responses included the following: "Yes, we're working on that." and my favorite one: "It really isn't my fault." I politely advised him that as an employee, he is a representative of the Quality Inn brand, and while we did not hold him personally accountable, these outages by the company are unacceptable. I have had many pleasant and economical stays at Quality Inn hotels over many years and in many locations. This, however, is a record WORST. The hospitality business is far too competitive to tolerate this epic lack of service. read more

Elevator broken (was last year too); TV not working for 4 nights - stated several guests were having the same issue and didn't fix it; No Wi-Fi; hot breakfast is a waffle and a toaster for stale bagels; dirty comforter and top cover; handicap shower has unstable flooring - felt like I was going to fall through the floor and shower curtain did little to keep the water in. Mediocre at best. Staff extremely nice. The hotel is a little dated and musty smelling. Needs corporate update, not the staffs fault. Room is spacious and does have a fridge, microwave and cooktop. Direct tv in the rooms absolutely horrible. Only a few channels and when a storm comes definitely doesn't work. Fairly clean when checked in. Housekeeping did good. Tv didn't accept fire stick I brought. Highly advise top floor as the walls and floors are thin. I was on 1st floor and heard every single step above. Bathroom is alright. You can hear the upstairs shower and pipes whistle when used. Morning breakfast was always hot and pretty good. Nothing super fancy but breakfast, coffee, juice and the normal were very nice to have. (Sausage, hash browns, eggs) Not many choices around here and not many restaurants close by. It did the job for me while I was here for a week. read more

This hotel cancelled my reservation for no reason whatsoever. They blamed it on Choice hotels and Choice hotels blamed it on them. Bottom line is I called them to tell them I was on my way and they said my reservation was canceled. I slept in my truck in a marina parking lot. I got Choice hotel customer service on the phone and he apologized and gave me a choice membership and 8000 points. 8000 points doesn't even cover one night stay in any Choice hotel. When I looked at the reviews for the quality inn in warsaw Va I noticed their manager Ken did a lot of apologizing for poor service. This hotel is a joke and so is Choice hotels.com JB read more

We had a very nice stay at this Quality Inn location. There are very few hotel options in this area of the Northern Neck but we were pleased we opted to stay here. Staff were friendly, the hotel is clean, the location was convenient to Warsaw & Tappahannock, the price was reasonable, and we especially appreciated that access to rooms is from an interior hallway rather than outdoors. Stayed for a week a little pricey and didn't offer grab and go breakfast but staff was awesome and friendly! Checked in at night didn't notice there was ants all over till we woke up but the front desk helped us out right away with another room with no problem. This hotel charges random fees and then lies about them. They charged me for what they said was an "online booking fee". When I called Choice, Choice said there was no such charge. I called the hotel back and now they claim the fee was a 2% fee for using a credit card at checkout instead of cash. This was another lie as the charge was for multiple quantities and was 4% of the bill for 1 night. Stay away from this scam of a hotel and their random services charges. read more

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, four days, very pricey. The room rates varied from room to room, as friends of mine stayed the same time frame, same double room, less expensive. I have stayed in this hotel for the past three years at the same time of the year. We are down there for dog shows. The pet fee also varied for those that had Pets in their rooms, very inconsistent. Staff was very friendly, though they couldn't make decisions on their own and had to always call management. A new computer software system was installed and made check-ins, questions, very slow to get assistance. A detailed bill couldn't be provided during the time of stay only at check out. I wanted to change my room over to my name as I am a choice hotels member, they wouldn't do that said it had to stay in my friends name, who couldn't make it down to the shows. I found a roach bug in my bathroom and told the staff day of check out, as I found it the night before. read more

Upon arrival we always do a room check. Our room had a fridge that did not work, the microwave had rust inside, toilet was dirty on the underside and was loose from the floor, mold in shower behind the culk and the smoke detector did not have a battery. I also found a dirty towel under the sink, beds were not very comfortable and my mom killed a bug that resembled a roach in the early hours of the AM. With that being said the front desk worker did come try to get the fridge working and we were promised a new fridge and microwave which both did not happen. The breakfast eggs were disgusting otherwise breakfast was decent hotel food. The staff was very friendly and made you feel welcomed. It was not the worst hotel we could have stayed in but certainly not the best. I think some cleaning training needs to be done and the manager should be checking the rooms more closely. read more

I can understand a no refund/no cancellation policy under normal circumstances. However, when someone cannot keep a reservation due to a hurricane, I find it unconscionable that a refund cannot be issued. I live in South Carolina, which has been impacted by Hurricane Florence. I had reservations at Quality Inn in Warsaw VA. In order to travel from SC to MD, I must travel through NC. The majority of NC is flooded due to the rivers cresting. It is physically impossible for me to keep my reservation at that hotel. I called the hotel itself, corporate, and customer service. I have been told that they will not issue a refund. I have chosen to use Choice Hotels in the past, but I will never again use them again. There should be some sort of guidelines regarding extenuating circumstances. read more

This is the worst... I just booked for the weekend of Mothers Day. When we got to the hotel we were greeted with bed bugs. We immediately told them we did not want to stay and to refund our money. They refused!!! I am in the process of reporting them to the BBB!! I will not be paying for a stay with bed bugs!! I spoke to the manager a Sharonda and she refused stating that the all of our rooms did not have bugs... who wanted to stay in any of them and after my mother had to endure this experience for Mother's Day!!! I've stayed in countless hotels in many states over the last couple decades. I've never come across a more friendly hotel staff than I did here. The room was incredibly clean and had very modern and tasteful decor. The morning breakfast is what you'd expect for a free hotel breakfast, but there was plenty laid out and you could also grab coffee or juice at any time of the day. What made me a very happy customer was the friendliness of the staff. Anytime I saw someone they'd ask me how I was doing and if I was enjoying my stay. We had an issue with our internet (we forgot the internet access code was written on our room key envelope) and the staff was quick to help us out. I haven't stayed in any other hotels in Warsaw/Tappahannock, but I'd bet that this is the best place you could stay in the area (apart from a very upscale hotel or BnB). Called to check on a reservation and had the misfortune of experiencing the front desk associate Chris (male). I have worked in retail and travel over 15 years, I have never encountered a receptionist as rude as this one. Not only is his attitude completely uncalled for but he repeatedly argued with me about my NAME! When i asked for a manger he told me there is no manager there and "it's hard to know when they might be one (there)." Unprofessional and I will be contacting corporate since management won't be put through to me. Never doing Quality Inn again. read more

I had no problem with the quality of the property; however, the hotel made a mysterious separate $1 charge to my credit card after I checked out. I called to ask about it and the manager said that the charge would be credited back to my card but that has not happened. I made the reservation through hotels.com and paid at the time of booking. If the hotel has some type of $1 fee it should be included in the price. I did not use anything out of a mini-bar or use any bottled water or do anything else that one might expect to incur an added fee. read more

My family and I have stayed here for many years. My brother lives near by and this is our go to place. In our last stay we were mortified by black mold literally all over the bathroom. We got in late and went straight to bed so did not notice the mold until the morning. When I told the front desk person she asked if I had said anything the previous night. I said no and she really seemed to not care. This is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately no one in my family will stay here again. My dad was staying on the second floor and the smell of weed smoking and loud partying was unbelievable. They also had many problems with their refrigerator not working, lights flickering, and God forbid you asked for more towels! This place has really gone down hill. So sad! If I can find a place to post pictures of the mold, I will! It was not a small amount. So over the ceiling and down the door Jam. Truly disgusting! read more

We stayed here about a year ago. It was clean. The staff was nice. It was nice and quiet. Only problem we had, which was no fault of the hotel, was finding a place to eat a late dinner. We ended up going over the bridge into Tappahannock. We only stayed one night, but it was a pleasant experience. read more
