I heard about them from a friend of mine, who had a pretty good result using them for a attic…read moreinsulation. This company is top-notch! We contacted them on Monday and had our free in-home attic inspection scheduled by the end of the day. Their service was wonderful, they gave us proper advice and plan for the installation and swiftly installed it without causing any hastles. We loved their service and would recommend it all.

I will do my best to give a sincere review. My wife and I recently purchased a house that was…read morebuilt in 1986 that still had its original insulation. I did extensive online research for a company to come remove the current insulation, sanitize and install new insulation. As like many of us do, once I started looking Facebook magically started putting adds for it on my feed for insulation companies. S.U.N. Energy was one of the first I saw. They were advertising a great special for the month of June in my area. When I researched them directly I found they had some very good views but a few things concerned me. 1. They were not local to me 2. Didn't have a lot of reviews 3. Didn't have a good rating with the BBB. I approached with caution but still reached out. I was did business with a local paver company that had an "A" rating with the BBB and it was the worst contractor experience of my life. So I gave them a shot. In all honesty they were the best insulation company that I interviewed. They gave me Free estimate over the phone. When I expressed my concerns about them not being a local company, they drove down (3 hours) to give me some face to face time. I dealt with Shawn and it was a pleasure. He thoroughly explained the process to me and multiple options for payment. No high pressure sales. He was also the team leader that showed up on time to our home to get the job done.. He and his crew were all fantastic. They made what is by nature a very messy job as manageable as possible. They took all necessary precautions and cleaned up after themselves. It was very good transaction and based on my experience I would highly recommend this group. My original concerns were completely unwarranted, even if they did come from a Facebook advertisement.

My personal experience with this company is horrible. Instead of a "store front", they come to you…read moreby placing door hangers on your door even when you are a NO SOLICIT NEIGHBORHOOD. This should entitle one to review this business experience like any other. (It keeps getting removed as not falling in YELP guidelines with no opportunity to talk to YELP people about this poor personal experience.) This company has left door hangers on my home. Twice. Their door hanger "fakes" looking like your official energy company, trying to bait you to get into your home..... using advertising techniques to look like a government agency, beginning with "Important notice", a quote from US Dept of Energy, acting as if their service is a "free gift", etc. I called the phone number they give to complain and they were rude. They said they have our city's permission to distribute even in no soliciting neighborhoods. They say in response to another review they are "A+ rated" ....then they have bypassed my specific complaints to BBB. Some personal experiences occur by the initial contact and bedside manner of a company.

so glad I thought to check this company for reviews!…read more I also thought they were partnered with my energy provider TECO and so I filled out the door hanger. The red flag was when they said my wife also had to be available for the audit... I said what's the significance of having her present and was told they wanted to understand her daily energy habits. I smell a rat and will cancel the appointment

So, Jason Horton, Vortex Sewer & Drain completely rescued me on the first working day of 2023!!…read more I contacted him on New Year's Eve (and he responded) because I noticed something strange going on with my water filter that I'd never noticed before. I asked him to please come look at it as he had offered me advice via FB posts in the past. I had completely forgotten that it was NYE. I texted and he responded easily 2-3 times before it finally occurred to me that it was NYE. I was embarrassed and apologized. He was like "no biggie!" I asked him to contact me on Monday. His assistant texted and we made arrangements for him to come out on Monday, Jan 2, 2023 to check out my filtration system. He said the dripping I'd found was nothing serious and not to worry about it. There is A LOT I don't understand about having a well and septic, so since he was here I asked a few other questions. One was about chlorine bleach and this water tank. I told him that I had added bleach and water to this tank, but it had been 7-8 mos and the water never seemed to go down. He knew exactly what was wrong and adjusted a knob on top of the tank. Then he had me turn on the water to check and voilá the tank started working again (and it has been working ever since). Then I asked a question about my septic - and thank g-d I did!! I told him I was doing laundry the nite before and it sounded like the washer was draining into my middle bathroom bathtub. He said it was possible there was a blockage somewhere in the lines. Of course, I was panicking. While I was panicking, Jason said "wait a second, let's just check a few things first." We went over to the septic system and he lifted up one of the lids and the s*** water was literally 2-3 inches from the top! Then he opened the one that has the filter and same thing...filled to the top!! Turns out the GFI outlet for the septic system was tripped in one of the last hurricanes, but I didnt know I was supposed to check things like that. He reset it and sure enough as soon as he did within 2 minutes the water went down a few feet! Can you imagine if I didn't happen to ask him that question? Flood central!! OMG!! Obviously I will be adding check the GFI outlet that powers my septic system to my post-hurricane checklist. Holy moly did he save the day...and that wasn't even what I called him about! Please, if you have any issues with the septic or the drainage in your home contact Jason at Vortex! He is super helpful, and knowledgeable, and in my case a life and a house-saver too!!
