He focuses on the problem areas you tell him and really has a mastery of the human body and muscle groups. He plays rock music, enjoys conversation and has a little dog so if that freaks you out maybe not the best place, but if you have muscle aches and pains and want the best, strong hands massage I don't think there is a better spot. read more

I was hoping for a relaxing massage. I am a really low maintenance kind of person, I am easy going, I really am. But this man was so unprofessional! I arrived a few minutes late to our appointment (I had trouble finding his suite) and he informed me that my session would be short because I was late and he had another appointment right after me. I told him that was understandable since I was late. BUT he would stop massaging me to respond to his text messages, which used up some of my time, and he even answered a call during the massage and put his friend on speakerphone! ON SPEAKERPHONE! Talking about some homeless man living on their couches, drinking their booze and stuff. It was probably a 10 minute conversation that I had the pleasure of listening to. Towards the end of my appointment, he found some knots in my back and shoulders, and was like, "do you feel that? Those are bad. But we are all out of time, so next time we will work on that." I understand people have different kinds of needs and expectations when coming in for a massage. Personally, I didn't see Craig really fit to my standards when receiving a "quality" massage. When I came in, I did a last minute appointment. Mind you, he said that he only accepts 4 clients a day. And he only takes cash. His office is very unorthodox. In my opinion, it is a little janky. Also, he likes to bring his dog to his office. For me, that's a no-no. She does stay quiet, and she is a good dog. But still, a no-no. So, if you're cool with that sort of setting, go for it. Like a couple of the other reviews said, he doesn't play spa relaxing music. He hums along with the songs, dances a little bit with the songs, and will talk to you about the songs. I don't like talking when I'm getting a massage cuz I want them to be focused on getting any knots out. Which I'll go more into the massage in just a little bit. So, if you do come in, consider letting him know what you want in terms of talking and such. In regards to the massage, I'll just say it felt half-assed and left me feeling like crap. Personally I felt he only worked on one side of my back really well. Then he didn't get the other side. The worst part too was that I had a little bit of bacne. Yeah I know not the best. But what really wasn't great was that he was picking at it while giving me a massage. Then when he worked on my legs, that didn't make me feel any better. Thank you for pointing out that I have stretch marks on my thighs. And by the end of the massage, he asked what I wanted worked on more. I told him I mainly came to the place for my back since it was sore for days. He then replied back saying he didn't need to work on it anymore since he thought he got all the tension out. Craig takes good care of me and helps my body feel more loose and pain free. He has a great understanding of the body, how it works, and why areas get tight. Craig focuses on you feeling better, not so much on a spa like experience, so don't expect spa music, scented stuff, and such, but better ready to take care of your body. read more

I must admit before I purchased my voucher through groupon. I checked out Craig's reviews here on Yelp. I must say when we were done I felt so good I couldn't decide if I wanted a nap or something to eat!! I throughly enjoyed his conversation, honesty, uniqueness and choice of music! James Taylor. I will definitely recommend to friends and family! Now for the possibly bad. For the few who are closed minded, that are unable to except others who are not within their established "norm". Quality massage probably won't give you the impression of a high end spa treatment atmosphere. But I must say, Craig did an awesome job. I told him exactly where my pain was and he specifically focus on that area. For it being my first time experience, I left feeling relieved from my shoulder and neck pain. Craig did exactly what I wanted and never made me feel uncomfortable whatsoever. As far as I'm concern, a little conversation or oldies playing in the background doesn't hurt nobody, and I still left feeling great. Some may disagree with his establishment and how its displayed, but i didnt go in there to judge, all I wanted was my pain to disappear and Craig did exactly that. Craig is a nice man. He's not your traditional massage therapist and so if you want the chakra music, no talking, etc this is not the place for you. He talks a lot and plays rock and roll music. He didn't get my tension areas and towards the end I just couldn't take it anymore, his nails scratched me up and I walked out of there looking like I got in a cat fight. I've gotten a few massages before but I have to say this one was the worst. To start off it took some looking to find the place because it's tucked away from the street and a little difficult to find within the building itself. When I finally found it I was completely surprised that his establishment was just one room he happened to set up a massage bed in. He didn't play any relaxing music but more old rock which wouldn't have been that bad if it wasn't for him singing along to it and the Pandora ads I had to listen to as well. He even got a phone call at one point which rang through the speakers which was pretty disruptive. Throughout the entire massage I'm pretty sure I didn't get more than one or two minutes of silent so I could relax. I was constantly being asked questions and talked to which, maybe for other people it's different, but when I get a massage I like a peaceful atmosphere void of talking about movie stars, politics, singers and any other things that seemed to pop into his head. Even though I assume most people go to this place from groupon I would caution that it's not even worth $20. read more

I came here a while ago but this guy really knew what he was doing. My shoulders and upper back had been killing me. But afterwards I felt relaxed, like a million bucks! At the end he did energy work and it sounds cheesy but you can really feel it and it makes a huge difference. read more

This was my first time getting a massage, so I cannot say if it was better than anything else. I can say that Craig did work for his pay and was kind during the process. The place is exactly what you see in the pictures. It is a small room but Craig makes you feel comfortable. He does have a dog and it barked at me at first, but let me pet it by the end. About the message, Craig is completely professional and likes to chat (I find that relaxing). He also has on regular oldish music, which I also like. He waited for me to show before he put out the blankets, which was great. Left the room for me to get undressed and worked with the blanket to help me feel less exposed. He has a soft touch but makes you giggle (wince) from how deep he goes. He gave me tips on how to help certain tense areas. And found other sore spots I didn't know existed. Overall for my first time Craig is fantastic. I am going back because I left lighter and a bit sore, in a good way. read more

It's really sad to see the very judgmental comments about Quality Massage. Although Craig runs his business differently than other massage places, I feel very comfortable and enjoy going here. He doesn't play the typical spa music, but he plays some classic oldies music that he likes to sing-along to. He also knows and will talk to you about the artist. Craig is very outgoing, friendly, and has a very cute dog that will welcome you when you arrive at the door. The dog just sits under the massage table and is very quiet. I've been here twice and he's found the spots that I have a lot of tension in and focuses on those areas very well. You can also tell him where you want him to focus on, and he will do so. QUALITY MASSAGE is just that! You get an excellent, quality massage by a fellow that really seems to his stuff. Craig is not someone you first imagine when you picture getting a massage. He's a big guy with amazing fingers and a desire to get your body working in proper balance. My body is working so much better now and I'm feeling really great! I do a lot of walking with my dog Tommy up and down hills, so feeling like I can walk without a lot of discomfort is very important to me! Craig makes you feel really comfortable and also has a wonderful little assistant, named Penny (she's a beautiful little dog with an amazing personality). I love coming here and seeing Craig when I'm in town. You can go and pay high dollar for a massage chain massage or from a person who lacks experience but with Craig he's truly a healer. He's the only person who gets all the right spots without me having to say a word. He works on you until you feel better, it's never rushed. He's funky and chill and so personable. I should have listened to my gut and left the minute I saw the cluttered mess that was the massage room. But no, I didn't want to be rude.... I wish I had been rude. So, aside from the slightly smelly, cluttered and dusty room, he has his dog in the room. I like dogs, I just don't want them under the massage table snoring while I get a "relaxing" massage. He doesn't play spa music, he sings along to the oldies radio (loudly and off key) and talks... A LOT. So, yeah, no relaxing about this. But, I couldn't figure out a polite way to get off the table and leave (plus I didn't want to try and exit in my undergarments). So, massage gets started and I find that I am being massaged by not only his hands, but his rather large belly which was in almost constant contact with me, something that made me feel very uncomfortable. He also let me know that the long and awkward pauses in the massage that were happening was because he was falling asleep because he has a little narcolepsy. So, after being laid on by someone who smelled like an ashtray, listening to a fat little dog snore and a man sing off key, getting scratched up since he apparently doesn't trim his nails, and made to cry out in pain (while being told that saying it hurts doesn't mean he's going to stop) I have decided that I am very stupid for not having just said no thank you and left in that first 5 minutes. And, just to clarify, the massage was not effective and I am in more pain now than I was when I went in. read more
