My worst massage experience. I just moved to the area from the Bay and have been wanting a massage and finally booked this appointment. From the beginning it was just not what Im used to. As a new client there should be some type of introduction. But then realized there was a huge language barrier. My face was on a paper towel the whole time. I did request medium to firm but at that time I wasn't aware it would be a man massaging. 3 times it waa.memtiomed to ne softer and each time after I went back to wincing from the pain. I ended up cutting back my hour to 30 minutes. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Then came tje oil. Ugh. The roughest hands I've ever had during a massage. Im so sad. Holy wow, what an experience. My husband and I booked a couple's massage with hot stones, and it was absolutely fantastic. I was so relaxed during the massage that all of the tabs in my head got quiet. My husband said he couldn't remember the first part of the massage because he practically melted. They gave a nice scalp and face massage to finish off the experience, and we really enjoyed the hand and foot massage as well. Staff was professional and asked how we were doing, and there was hot tea at the end as well. For the price (including tip), it was such a great deal for two people. Massage service with (Amelia). I got the deep tissue massage and usually get the medium pressure from other Spa massages I had in the past. The medium felt very hard at this location! She did not ask till half way thru the session if pressure was ok and even when I said it was too hard, the pressure did not change. I got through the entire session which later felt good but did not enjoy the experience. I usually want to feel great and enjoy the process and experience. I also did not like the massage over the cover sheet in the beginning. It felt rough with material between hands and body. I prefer full contact with skin to skin and even better with the oils. Overall it was ok and probably will try another session but ask for lighter pressure for the deep tissue massage. Great price and clean facility. read more

Always a great massage. The staff is always nice and accommodating. Always clean unlike other places I have been. The only negative aspect is the noise level. Not only staff, but especially fact customers. They come in and are extremely loud. I think if staff would make it a point to only whisper or talk quietly to incoming customers that they would probably follow their lead. Hopefully anyway. Like come on people! Have common courtesy to other paying customers who are trying to enjoy their massage and relax. It kind of kills the vibe when you hear somebody having a full on conversation about their sisters cousin who cheated with their grandpas brothers niece. I've even gone so far as to say. Excellent massage. I called to make a reservation and specifically requested a female masseuse. They said they had one available. I got there maybe about five minutes early and they set me up in a room and I indeed have a lady masseuse. They have a spa menu that you pick from like if you want hot stone or maybe attention to a certain area. I definitely needed attention in my shoulders and my shoulder blades, and during my 90 minute massage, those areas were definitely focused on. I'm a huge fan of resort spas and initially felt this place may not be up to par but I had nothing but good experiences here. I would recommend this place especially if you got conditions that need that borderline medical treatment. The workers are good therapist who works hard to get those knots and sore out. I really appreciate the walk in accommodations this doesn't always work at high end massage places so I truly respect that they take last minute booking and walk ins. Just had to end my massage because of such an unpleasant experience. They started my massage 15 minutes late (I was sitting in the chair with my feet in water with no one in sight), they barely were massaging when it actually started and when I peaked through my towel over my eyes the man massaging me was on his phone!!! Touching his phone then going back to massaging me. He was texting for a while then watching something? I don't know for sure but it was not only interrupting the experience but so unsanitary. I was in town from the Bay Area of CA visiting some friends who live in Merced and just had a magical experience here - I suffer from some serious tension in my neck that radiates all the way down in between my shoulder blades. The most important part of a massage to me is that the masseuse is paying attention to unintentional cues the guest is giving rather than going through some basic choreographed routine of a massage - and let me tell you what - KEVIN PAYS ATTENTION TO HIS CLIENTS! I don't think there's anything I would change about this place; but I would suggest that the diagram on the intake sheet be simplified with X's where clients would not like to be focused on and O's where clients would like focus on. They started with pressure points on the top of my head, relaxed my neck then went to the feet! I'm always a huge fan of reflexology and the person who did my massage did an amazing job. They would check in to see if the pressure was okay and really spent time to help break down some of my scar tissues and knots. For the foot massage and scrub you start in the main room with clothes still on. The body is done with clothes off (hey before you say duh... some places where you do foot and body, do it with clothes on... it just depends on the set up of the place.) Again the person doing my massage did amazing and would check in to see if I was okay for my super tender spots. A had a male massager but they do have females as well! I've been coming here for well over 3-4 years. Today I had the worst massage experience I have ever had in my life. I called and booked an appointment for a 60 minute body massage at 5:00. I arrived and was told I was getting the smart combo (half body half foot) I was placed in the 2nd to last room which they do also use for couple massages. The curtain was closed and the massage "therapist" came in and started what was a very hard rubbing motion up and down my back along with extremely hard pressing, not remotely massaging. When he did my neck I seriously thought he was trying to make me pass out or something because the grip he had into the back of my neck had me feeling dizzy from the pain of the gripping and digging his fingers into the base of my skull. I couldn't wait for the first half to be done. Strangely during all of this he opened the curtain to the adjoining room while doing all this and he left the room 2x and took one phone call and scheduled someone's husband for 7pm all within the 30 minutes I was there. I got dressed and paid for the one hour service at the 30 minute mark. He did ask if I was ok when I decided to leave but I really didn't want to embarrass them in front of a room full of customers so I just left. I really am shocked because I have been here probably 40 + times over the years and never had a bad experience but I can guarantee today was my last visit. I also would like to note that the facilities have gone down hill significantly and they now nickel and dime you for services with they did not do before. read more

I went in for a couples massage me and my husband and had a terrible experience. The chair where I rested my face had a strong, unpleasant odor--like urine. I tried to inform the staff, but there was no luck with them understanding me .. a language barrier for sure, and they didn't seem to understand pretty much nothing i was saying. Since I had already paid online, we decided to stay, but the experience was horrible. To make matters worse, the therapist demanded a tip, which I was not planning to give. For a tip she seemed to talk pretty okay english!! I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

To the guy that repeatedly asked me how I feel and then "do you feel good" I'm sorry but I lied straight to your face because telling the ugly truth in front of the other 6 people in the lobby didn't feel right at the time. Although, feeling the way I do the day following, I definitely should have, as it might have saved someone else's body. This experience from start to finish was TERRIBLE. Let's just begin with the least important which is nobody speaks freaking English! Which is sort of important when trying to communicate about your own body.. Then there's the fact that none of the rooms are actually enclosed spaces, closer to cubicle walls which translates to you hearing literally every little movement, door chime, snoring and conversation of every person in the building. As for the massage.. that man should not be touching anybody. I don't know what made him think that he should be rapidly and repeatedly grinding his knuckles, forearm bones and elbows into my spine, hip bones and any other bone he could fine but huhhhh?? That was the least relaxing "massage" I have ever had. Seriously awful. If it hadn't been a gift to my husband I would have left almost immediately. Turns out we were both only enduring this for the other. This was much closer to torture than it was a massage. If I were older and more frail they could have done some real permanent damage. To accompany the rapid grinding of bones together they end with what can only be described as cia take down moves that I assume they believe to be derived from chiropractic practices which they are completely unqualified to be doing in the first place. Also "OW, OUCH" apparently means nothing to them as he proceeded to hold my leg in the air behind me to the side while holding my lower back down. After the 70 minutes of torture (which was closer to 60 btw, watch the time if you're going to go here) and $143 later (because they charge you $3 to use your card) they expect a tip. I gave the man $20 to split between the two( which I shouldn't have even done) and he said "for both???" They're lucky they got anything and honestly we should have walked out within the first ten minutes. I went in for another 90 minute massage Sunday evening around 7pm and my experience was NOTHING like all my others. I was very disappointed! I've been working 56 hrs/week and really needed a relaxing massage. For the feet, the gentleman didn't really massage the heel or pads of my feet and focused mostly on the center of my feet where the arch is. For my full body, only my back side was massaged. I've always gotten my back side done and then I'm asked to flip over to get my front side, but that didn't happen. I don't know if the guy had a bad day....a long day.... but I still paid $107. And left really regretting spending my money there. I'm going to have to get another massage to actually relax, but from a different place. read more

I never know if I'll get the awesome massager or the one who greases you up with oil that there literally is no friction and they're just gliding on the body. I love getting massages and was excited about this place opening in Merced. I've been here a couple of times now. I've felt safe and found it very relaxing. I was a little worried because of covid, but the place seemed very clean and I was the only customer in there each time (with my mask on for the whole massage). I was massaged by Joan and she was able to find places of tension and gently ease my muscles. I'm quite sensitive and found her pressure to be great and she listened to my requests. She used coconut oil for massaging. This is definitely a place to come for a relaxation session to unwind. If you are hesitant and just want to try the place out, I recommend the 30 min foot massage for your first time. It is in the main room with your clothes on facing up and includes a foot massage plus a little head/shoulder and leg. I give this place 5 stars because for the price I was impressed. The prices aren't bad at all for the quality of service you get. It is very clean and relaxing. Went to get a massage for my birthday. I chose the 30 min foot and 30 min body massage and added a foot scrub and therapy oil. The masseuse was very good and focused on the areas of my body that needed attention. Last time I came I asked for a deep tissue massage and my goodness that was probably to much for me so this time I asked for medium and when they started the body massage, it was still a too hard for me but he was very accommating.
