TLDR: do not hire for anything other than spot repairs for leaking roofs…read more So we hired this company to repair a leak coming down in our garage. Sales person came out for review to make an assessment on what would be involved. In the conversation they offered to clean the roof, I told them there's a lot of moss up there and they said they could easily do that. Oh they cleaned something, just not the whole roof. They got the entire north side of my house covered in caked on globs of dirt. This included everything around there like my A/C exterior fan unit, my trash bins, my shed, my storage lockers and my deck boxes. They left a hose, my hose, on the roof and running all night long until my wife spotted it the next morning. My front hose was also used, I know this because instant of rolling it back up using the roll they just left it all piled up at the corner of my house. Now told them about this, and the person who responds just always says they'll get in touch with their "experts" and let me know. Eventually they came back to finish cleaning the roof and clean up the mess on the side of the house. They came and went then I got home and checked, looked like they took about two seconds to clean some of the side but ran off to their next project. It was in no way clean or even in the condition it was in prior to their work. As for the roof being cleaned and moss control applied, I can't get all the way up on the 2nd floor roof to know but my HVAC company came out to do some other work related to "Smokey cedar smell in air ducts, & they climbed up to the 2x!: floor and took photos. There was no moss control applied on the 2nd floor roof and miss was growing everywhere on the west back side, yes this was the very next day after M&H came. Cleaning and moss control were services we agreed M&H would do.m, but they clearly didn't yet still charged me for it. Oh and that donkey cedar smell? Sawdust in the HVAC exhaust line from roof & vent repairs. So basically the roofing company offered a series of services they never fully executed. I had to hire a different company to complete the gutter work and re-clean the lower & upper roofs and apply moss control up on the 2nd roof. Then I had to clean out my HVAC vents, and I had to wash and scrub the exterior of my house. How are they still in business is beyond me.

We were able to schedule our roof replacement when we wanted to get it done and the job was completed in just two days. We were impressed that it was such a quick and smooth process. After our roof was done, our gutters just took one day to replace.. so in total, it only took 3 days to get a brand new roof and gutters! Also, throughout the entire process, Elijah (the project manager?) kept us updated on how things were going and was also easily reachable for any questions we had. We appreciated the good communication! My only minor "complaint" would be that the cleanup after the job being done wasn't 100%. There were a few scraps and caution tape leftover from the roof job, and then a large ladder was left from the gutter job. The story: I was in the market to repair my gutter that had been installed improperly by the builder. Due to the angle of the gutter. Water was leaking inside the house through the roof. It was fixed since then by the builder and everything that was damaged by the water was replaced and corrected. The leak was also addressed. However, the gutter that was improperly installed did not get replace/re-angel or fix. I am really concern of this because when it rain here it rain really hard and on multiple occasion I see so much rain that the water flow from the roof gush out like a Dam from the rain water. After searching on the internet I found HH Gutter Services. at first I did not know what to expect. I have dealt with many company who just out there to gut you clean. I am glad that I was proven wrong by Jesse. I called Jesse on Thursday. He told me to reach the office so I can be put in the system. He also told me that he is available to come and take a look on Friday to give me an estimate. He came on Friday as expected. He looked around the house and quoted me the price of the fix on the gutter and also the leafs filter which he introduced it to me when he first arrived. I was not sure if I want to install any Leaf protector because I have been quoted by many company before and it was just not worth it. He told me he use the product on his own house and it was warranty for 25yrs (unheard of. most of the company I talked with insured for 10yrs or less). Most importantly I was not feeling any pressure from him at all. He was just giving me options to choose. He also educated me on every questions or concerns that I had. Nonetheless, I gave it another go and see if he Jesse can give me a reasonable quote. To my surprise I found the price is really reasonable not only for the work I want done but also for the leaf protector. He took time installing it on that same day and I cannot be more happier that it is now done. My Gutter looks awesome! (It looked like the sewage line prior because so much dirt from the trees/moss) I cant wait to see how it works when it rains. Btw, I have never heard any company that I hired to do work on my house says this. Jesse offered me if I want, I can wait to pay him for the leaf protectors until it rains....this was in the middle of summer. Winter is not until 2-3 months later. I was a little bit shock just because how much trust he put on his customer. Nonetheless, I admire his attitude and confident to his work and the product he sells. So, I reached out to them (as well as 4 other deck contractors based on high Yelp reviews for my area). All 5 deck companies called or emailed back immediately: * One turned me down based on their busy schedule; * One said they didn't service my area (south Everett); * One wanted $100 to come out and look at the project; * One never followed up after an initial email exchange; * State Roofing came out within 2 days to look at the project State Roofing sent out an estimator (Kerry) who must have spent close to 2 hrs at our home taking measurements and showing us samples of all the different decking options available for composite decks as well as showing us numerous pictures of their work. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and made sure we understood all the various options. We ultimately chose State Roofing because of how crisp and professional their response was, as well as their attentiveness and interest in earning our business. Even though they were very busy (as are most decking contractors in the summer months) they were able to squeeze us in as long as we could be a bit flexible in our timing - which we were. Next step: they sent out their main decking foreman (Paul) to verify the sales guy's measurements and create the specific blueprint for the laborers. Again, I found their staff very knowledgeable and professional. This piece of the process was also smooth and informative as Paul answered lots of questions and took his time with us to ensure we were all in alignment. Final step: a few weeks later, State Roofing called to say they were ready to begin. We established a start date and two of their craftsmen arrived (Nikolai and his son) to begin the project - tearing off the old deck boards and prepping for our new Azek composite decking. They left the worksite spotless each day and were wonderful guys to work with. Their craftsmanship was excellent (see pics) and they worked hard (and fast). Bottom line: I was very happy with State Roofing. I have no complaints and I would not hesitate to recommend them (or use them again). Bigger is not always better, but these folks have their processes "down to a T" and offer great financing options as well. They instilled confidence in each step of the process. Ultimately, customer satisfaction comes down to the craftsmanship on the finished product and our new deck turned out great!

I paid $26,000 for installation of a new roof from State Roofing in June 2023. Two years later my roof is leaking! This past December 2025 the roof began leaking in the upstairs bathroom. As the pictures/videos show, the source of the leak is the bathroom exhaust fan. State Roofing sent a worker who nailed down a brown tarp over the exhaust fan cap on the roof. About 4 hours later the leak stopped ... but the damage was done. The bathroom ceiling has been compromised & will need to be replaced. I would imagine mold will also be a problem in the attic (no attic access). The solution would be simple, replace &/or recalk the exhaust fan cap. One worker, 3 hours at most, problem solved, happy customer (who paid you $26,000!!!). Instead, I received a "job proposal" from Paul Jordison of State Roofing to replace the 4" brown flapper & pay another $827.63. This "flapper" costs about $35 at Home Depot. I paid them $26,000 for a new roof that started leaking after 2 years AND they want me to pay to fix their leak. There are many roofing companies that would stand by their work. Mistakes happen, maybe a new worker, who knows ... but to take $26,000 from a customer & then ask them to pay another $800 to fix a leak that is the fault of State Roofing? Incredible, I do not recommend State Roofing at all. Lastly, if State Roofing reads this review & contacts me to repair the leak, at zero cost to me, I will amend this review accordingly.
