I advised we would check in after our sporting event. Easy check in process. Our "accessible" room was spacious and easy to maneuver. Now the "bad"-some of it It is dated, needs a serious revamp. Doors have stripping, bathroom is semi clean, beds are not comfortable, room felt stuffy. We turned the AC down to 64 and finally got the room to a semi comfortable temp. There is a smoking area to the left of the main door. While walking to our car we noticed a large amount of vomit sitting there. I can't even begin to describe the grossness. But what bothered me the most is that it appeared this was possibly cleaned up. There was water running and streaks all over the sidewalk. It was grotesque! Breakfast was like many other hotels, but the coffee was like water. We opted To not eat at the hotel and went somewhere else based on the cleanliness of the establishment. All in all, it felt gross. I don't know how else to explain it. It is not AT ALL worth the amount they charge. These rooms should be $50 ish a night, and that is being generous. I would not return. DON'T STAY HERE! Very bad experience this year, spending family vacation time in Quality Suites Pineville-Charlotte Hotel. Not respectful attitude for the clients from hosts, administration and especially supervisor or Hotel manager of the Hotel. Also there is a huge problem with cleaning, changing towels. And there are roaches in the room, bathroom. We stayed last year at the same Hotel and we liked it a lot, but from this time, because of the bad service, we will never come again and never advise anyone to stay here. HORRIBLE (Read our review). I am requesting a refund/compensation for my stay July 19th-21st. I booked the room through a third party site. There were two options; to pay in full online in the moment, or to reserve the room and pay when I arrived at the hotel. I chose to pay at the hotel when I arrive. I live in Raleigh NC, so I was proactive about calling the hotel to let them know that I would be checking in a bit late. On the way there I called twice to confirm that I was still coming. These calls are recorded so feel free to run the audio back; but it was confirmed twice that my room was still available and your hotel knew I was arriving. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that the room I booked was given away. In lieu of this, she offered another room that was almost twice the cost of my original room. (By this point it's almost 12AM and I didn't have any other choice but to pay extra). I inquired about why the room was cancelled and I was told that your hotel tried to charge my card, and it declined so they cancelled my room. I'm no Einstein, so I'm just not sure how this adds up. Why was my card tried to be charged when I chose to pay at the hotel; when I arrive? To add insult to injury, as previously stated, I was told that my reservation was safe. Twice. When I called. On the way to the hotel. We left this issue alone though and didn't escalate this because we wanted to enjoy our trip regardless. The way the receptionist treated us was unacceptable. However, she was on the phone with her manager and it was very obvious that she was taking direct orders from him/hem. This trip was jammed packed with activities and there was minimal leisure time. So I didn't check the beds until the morning I was leaving; in order to strip/clean the beds. Attached to this email are pictures. These are the beds that your establishment deemed it okay to have citizens sleep in. My girlfriend and I tried to communicate with your hotel's manager, but we were threatened to have to police called on us, and we were told to leave, which we did. We were completely done wrong by your establishment and even facing that, we chose to not make any issues. The irony though- the irony that your staff couldn't even compensate us or give us decent customer service is diabolical. With everything said and told, I'm requesting a full refund for my stay. My experience can be summarized in a few key words: broken TP holder, weed, and ROACH. When we first checked in, no one was in the reception area so when I said "hello," the front desk staff person came out and acknowledged us by an unenthusiastic "mmm-hm" and this look that said "you just interrupted my 8 hour break aka my entire shift." Anyways, we check into the room and although it's a cheap hotel, I thought it was nice that the housekeeper folded the toilet paper all fancy on top of the toilet palaver holder. BUT THEN, I realized why they did that. The mounting part of the TP holder was broken and the staff placed the TP in a way that held that broken piece together so when I tried to grab some TP, the whole thing knocked off! Another thing, it's super weird but there was a very strong smell of weed infused in the headboard of the bed. Also, we were met by a gigantic ROACH upon returning from an outing. Lastly, the walls are thin so you can hear people and kids yelling around in the hallway and the room doors slam pretty loudly. ...The only thing good about this place was the location (at least for what we planned to do there). read more

We stayed on the first floor. If you're going to stay on the first floor make sure it's not directly in front of the restrooms and housekeeping office. There's a sewer gas smell that seeped into the front portion of our room. They also don't do room service unless you inform them before 9 AM. They do not do it at all on the weekends. Guests smoke in the rooms- staff don't do anything. Walls are thin, top floor seems to have running competitions hourly. If you're going to spend this much on a room get something closer to the city. You'll get screwed no matter what but at least you'll waste less gas. read more

Three stories, interior entrances, all season heated pool. Very impressed with this property. My king suite had a separate seating area, two HDTVs, a wet bar with microwave, mini fridge and sink (dinnerware available upon request), a vanity area with make up mirror and seat, and wall mounted thermostat for the heat and a/c. Free breakfast featured scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage & bacon, plus cereals, fruits, breads, yogurt - with real plates and utensils. They are a Choice Hotels Gold Award winning property. Only negative thing I noticed was graffiti that had been scratched into the door and wall of the elevator. read more

DEFINITELY not what I expected! I travel quite often due to my position in the military, as well as my social life. I will say that quality inn hotels are normally ones that I only stay in when nothing else is available. I am super grateful that my sister found this place on Expedia! We were DEFINITELY impressed! First thing, this is a privately owned quality inn, The owner clearly put extra money into the renovations. Everything from the front lobby all the way into the hallways, to the bedrooms suggest that he wanted this hotel to be marketable and definitely competitive with the other local hotel chains in the area. I was able to use the gym and it served it's purpose. There was a treadmill, and elliptical machine, and one workstation where I was able to obtain a full workout. I wasn't able to use the pool, for it was too cold and I didn't want to completely have to dry my hair. I also had the time to make it down for breakfast. Definitely impressed! The hotel provided more than what a traditional quality inn hotel would provide. They had two different waffle stations, biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, and all of your traditional continental breakfast items such as bagels toast, muffins, cereal, hot cereal, etc. You can even order room service at this location. Go figure! LOL. And to top things off, we were actually walking distance from Carolina Place which is their mall. Right on time!If I am ever in the Charlotte area, and I am not able to stay in the downtown area, this place will definitely be one of my top choices! Overall: Non smoking room stinks like cigarettes. This was an otherwise nice place, but I would never stay here again because of the smell. Pros: -Breakfast (included in price of room) was probably the best we've had at a chain hotel. -2 Flat screen TVs. I could watch TV on the couch and not disturb my sleeping husband. -In a safe area. There was a Talbot's (upscale women's clothes) right across the street. -If you smoke, it's a good deal. We paid $90 including taxes on hotwire for a weeknight stay. Bed Bug INFESTED! My family and I spent some time here back in March. Our first night, I was bit by what I thought was mosquitoes. Figured they had got in the room. The following night I was bit more, along with my daughter. We told management and we were moved to another room. That night, my son, my daughter, and I were bitten repeatedly. I searched and finally saw that in fact it was bed bugs. Took video and picture footage. We were only refunded for a couple days. Unfortunate because we had to get rid of stuff we were afraid the bugs got into. No amount of disinfectant will kill bed bugs. Fair warning to anyone who decides to stay here. read more

Stayed here for 4 nights. Would not stay here again. Lady at check in desk was not friendly at all, almost rude. Went to our first room and the AC wasn't working, so my husband went down to ask about it, and she said she would get maintenance to come fix it in a few hours. So my hub asked if we could just be moved to a different room. She said "well I guess but I really don't want to do that if you have already had your stuff in this room." Finally she rolled her eyes at him and gave us a new room. Room was ok but the shower curtain rod was broken so my hub had to rig up the shower curtain to keep it from staying open. read more

I am incredibly impressed with the staff here. They are incredibly accommodating and even gave my son a snack on our arrival. The room was incredibly clean and the king size bed was wonderful. The breakfast is included. There were basic things you'd expect plus a few hot item and a make your own waffle station. However, if you plan a stay getting up early for breakfast would be in your best interest because it was very busy around 8am. The pool was especially nice, but cold. The WiFi was snail paced at best. All things considered we had a wonderful stay and I wasn't too terribly upset about the WiFi since everything else was so great. I've read that some people encountered cigarette smoke smells, but I did not encounter this problem at all. We have another stay at this facility soon and I hope it's just as enjoyable. read more

After complaining that our first room and entire third floor smelled like a dirty ash tray. We were told that "ONLY half the rooms on the third floor are smoking". We visit Charlotte several times a year and have stayed in many different hotels in the area of Pineville which is convenient to where we need to be. We have yet to go back to a hotel a second time until we found this one. It will be our place to stay from now on. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the breakfast can't be beat. I don't know the name of the lady attendant for the breakfast area but she does the best job I've ever seen. She's always making sure everything was full and clean, she greets everyone that enters the area and had breakfast ready earlier than it was supposed to be at least on one day that we had to get out early. She deserves a raise! My only minor complaints about the place would be that the elevator is incredibly slow and the free internet was spotty at best. read more

The only reason I am giving Quality Suites Pineville 1 star is because the staff at the front desk are nice. If not, I would have not given them a star at all. I booked here because the rooms are cheap and it's in a location that is very convenient for me. I was on the fourth night of a nine night stay at the hotel. I wake up and feel these bumps on my shoulder as I'm in the shower. When I get out and look in the mirror there is a row of bumps On the back of my right shoulder. I take some pics of them and start "googling". Come to find out that I have been served as an "All you can eat" buffet for Bed Bugs that night. I immediately go to the front desk and demand another room. Honestly, I didn't even want to do that. I wanted out but I read that they can possibly be confined to one room. I go to my new room and now that I'm super paranoid and grossed out, I turn the mattress over and pull out all the sheets. Low and behold another bug sitting on the covers. Bigger, different color, not a bed bug but at this point, there all the same. I took another picture so I'm not made out to be crazy. I storm out of the room and go back to the front desk. After politely informing them of how unsanitary their establishment is, I demand to be checked out. Stuttering in shock, they regretfully complied. I then contacted Hotwire and Quality Suites Corporate office to file formal complaints and demanded remediation for this horrible experience. Moral of the story. Don't stay there (Unless you like bugs!!). I am a very frequent traveler and this is the first time this happened but it causes a big inconvenience. Not only with the hotel but you have to sanitize yourself and every thing you had in the room, even luggage. read more

My sister and I drove almost 12 hours to enjoy Carowinds and some whitewater rafting for a few days. I booked my stay based on TripAdvisor and ChoiceHotel reviews. I was not disappointed! We arrived at almost 5am and called ahead to the front desk to inform them. The gentleman at the front desk on the overnight shift was amazing! So friendly, courteous, and helpful! He checked us in prior to our arrival and provided us with the room keys when we arrived so we could check in much quicker and ensure our room was held. Our second night there, we had super loud guests yelling across their room, blasting their TV, and also housing a screaming child... at 1am. We phoned down to the front desk and that same gentleman said he would take care of it right away and about 15 minutes later, it was finally quiet. My only complaint with the room itself was the AC unit was EXTREMELY loud. You have no control over the temperature of the room. You cannot see the unit as it is in a closet that I assume also controls the room next to yours. It turns on and off automatically and when it's on, you have to walk to the other side of the room to speak on the phone. It also shakes the floor and beds. The parking spaces are also narrow, and SEVERAL guests double-parked on purpose. Other than that, the room was clean, very comfortable, and exactly what I needed! Wifi was good quality and the hot breakfast was DELICIOUS! Filled us up so we didn't get hungry until we ate dinner in the evening. The staff is excellent, location is perfect and convenient, and any problems were addressed quickly! read more

When I first came to this hotel I had an ok experience. The night time worker seemed very frazzled, and unsure about what he was doing. I am currently doing an extended stay with this location. Around my 4th or 5th night, neighbors checked in next door to me. They were smoking weed, and I made a complaint to Rhonda who proceeded to acknowledge the smell of weed throughout the hallways. She told me that they would check out in the morning and to put a towel under my door to prevent the smell. This continued the following night with my room being overwhelmed with a weed smell. I again mentioned this to the young lady at the desk the following morning and she told me they would be kicked out. Well, the third night came, and what do you know, WEED smell again overwhelmed my room. I contacted the front desk and spoke to Martin (great guy). He called the police and they walked the hall, but could not smell anything. Not 15 minutes later my room was engulfed with the smell of marijuana. I spoke to Jose. This was the same frazzled gentleman. I asked him to come up to the hallway where he confirmed the weed smell. He told me there really wasnt anything that can be done. I was pissed. I have paid for 10 total nights at this location and to have neighbors smoking weed and not doing anything. I made him call the police. When the police came he was afraid to talk to them. The officer asked what he would like done, and all Jose said was that he would give them a smoking fine. The officer waited for backup and when they arrived proceeded to knock and enter the room. The guest acknowledged that they had weed and the officers then confiscated it. The guests then left first thing in the morning. Other than Martin, no one else apologized or did anything about the situation. Very disappointed in the situation, and on top of that the inconvenience of laying tile in the lobby. When you have to pack up an apartment and not being able to use the elevator, this can be very upsetting. Completely disappointed in the stay and what I have experienced. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, because if there is an issue, the staff just turn their back on the problem until the problem leaves. read more
