We stayed here two nights while attending the Billy Graham Library. This hotel was about 15 minutes from the library. It's also around a lot of restaurants. Everyone was super friendly. The rooms were very nice. The bathroom and shower were also nice. I didn't like the bed. It was very uncomfortable. Also the A/C wouldn't adjust correctly no matter what temperature you set it on. If I set it on 80 degrees the A/C would still be blowing freezing cold. I just ended up turning it off and we were fine. The next day it was fixed. The Continental Breakfast in the morning was good. The seating area for breakfast was nice with plenty of room. We were traveling with a large motor coach bus that was 38'. Even though this location parking lot is small I did have enough room to enter the parking area and drive around the back and then to the front and park for the night with the bus. I always have a low expectation for hotels in this price range, but this one was priced right and we chose it due to proximity to where we wanted to go while up there. The hotel wasn't bad! The lady was fantastic at the front desk and the lobby and rooms look nice. It was clean except for some water damage. What I don't like about this room is that they didn't have any fans in the bathroom, nor were we able to keep the fan going for the air conditioning. I like to have that white noise anytime I'm in a hotel because it drowns out the sounds. I've noticed this is a problem with lots of hotels these days. Location-wise it's actually in a good spot. There's a fantastic trail right across the street where you can bike or walk along the marsh and river. It was quite busy when we chose to walk it. It's almost walkable to the mall from there. There are lots of restaurants in the area too. I would stay there again . read more

Never been so disappointed. Came with a group under a Carowinds discounted rate. Was forced to purchase a separate Carowinds ticket $57.00 or else not be able to checked in. Charged more than what was discussed. Took the one guy at the desk a very long time to assist with check in. No room service provided after requesting it. Front desk staff was very apathetic, sarcastic, irresponsible and irritating. People sat around a tables like they were in an occult, unfriendly. Strange looking guys creeping in/out of the back stairway. Parking lot and front area very gloomy with one whit bench where the front desk attendant sat with a disgusting look on his face. Finally checked in to a room facing the parking lot. Requested a different room from the attendant who argued for about an half an hour why a room change could not be done. Have been here four nights. So unimpressed. The beds are old school coils that are oh so uncomfortable. It's just dated. The towel situation is abysmal - tattered and road worn plus you have to beg for more than one wash cloth each day. The location is great. Right across from Carolina Place Mall and right near the beltway. For us hockey families it's uber convenient to the Pineville Ice Rink. The lobby is nice and the bar has promise. But factor in the surly breakfast/kitchen staff and their stock plummets. There are other options in the area. I suggest those. read more

We booked this standing in another hotel room that was absolutely disgusting! Drove the 15 min here and was amazing by how nice it is! The room was VERY spacious, exceptionally clean and comfortable. We spent 7 days here. The staff was all very nice. We had a couple very small issues that were resolved. The pool is salt water which confused us at first but cool and welcoming after very long and HOT days at the conference we were at. We were welcomed every time we walked in the door. Ken gave us some great recommendations for things in the area. Anastasia Was super sweet with every weird thing we asked Theresa was caring and prompt taking care of the issues we had. I wouldn't expect the ritz over here and know that there is nothing but chain restaurants and a decaying mall within walking distance. The pillows kind of sucked. But what can you do? I'm giving this hotel a 5 star. Everything was clean from the lobby, elevator, walls, halls to my room! Everything was updated, the washer and dryer worked wonderfully. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant/bar downstairs. Breakfast buffet was only $5 per adult and $3 per child. The location of this hotel is prime with the mall across the street and other shopping centers around its great I would recommend staying here and will be back! read more

No hot water! We stayed here for one night while traveling and used 15,000 of my Marriott points. What a huge disappointment! The room was just ok, but there was no hot water. I called the front desk and he said he would check another room and let me know. He never called back. At check out, I mentioned it to the gentleman at the desk and he shrugged his shoulders. I usually receive an email asking about my experience when I stay at Marriott hotels, but not this time. And there's no way to review the hotel in the Bonvoy app! We travel full time on the road, so I am so disappointed that I wasted 15,000 points on this hotel. Find a different hotel in the area. read more

This was a nice and clean room and so was the exterior. The neighbourhood is sketchy though! The annoying thing is they claim to have a microwave and fridge in the rooms. We got there and the room didn't have either one. I called the front desk and was told it's an extra $30! Someone's review said the cleaners chit chat loudly in the hallways...they were NOT lying! We stayed there for 2 nights and each morning around 8am we were woken up to ladies chit chatting loudly across the hall while cleaning..despite having a do not disturb sign on our door!! They did have a coffee maker and coffee in the room. It was a nice place but for that price, spend your money where you can get free breakfast included! Breakfast is only included in the breakfast package which is way more than just the price for a room! read more

We stayed there last night for a quick overnight stay. We selected the hotel for location and price. We were REALLY surprised at how lovely the hotel was. The staff was friendly and informative! The room had nice updates, very large, super clean and the bed & sheets were comphy. They offered a buffet breakfast and it had a good variety of food for a hotel. The hashbrowns were fresh cut potatoes, great bacon, lots of fresh fruit choices ie, blueberries, pineapple, melon, apples and bananas. There was also a good variety of bread and pastries. I would highly recommend this hotel. We travel alot and Marriot is our main choice but this particular Four Point was very well run!!! Great job team! read more

Stayed here 4 nights with my husband while attending a conference. Rooms are spacious and have a mini refrigerator and microwave. Staff is very friendly. I would have given them 4 stars except for the following; our king sized bed sagged terribly something I would not expect from a Marriott property, tables in the dining area are very sticky and floors in the elevator and so if area are very sticky also so I assume it's something used to clean them, breakfast is ok just microwaved food. We didn't eat dinner there as I assumed it would have been microwaved as well. read more

Stayed here once before .. It was very nice so we decided to stay again . The night before we left the rate was $79.00. I did not make a reservation cause I was sure there would be availability. We arrived at 730 pm .the man at the desk said we have a room for$119. I said it was 79.00 online. HE said this is the best he could do but I could use the computer to go online and get the 79.00 rate. When I did, I saw the price went up to $119. Less than 24 hrs prior it was 79.00 .i was really annoyed so I booked a room for the Hampton across the street for$89.00 . I will NEVER use Sheraton hotels again just because they raise their rates. The hotel is okay, the lady at check in was rude. The room was okay, there was dried pee stains on the toilet and we were only given two towels. Two hours after we checked in, the power went out for a couple of hours. There was someone panicking stuck in the elevator and the staff didn't seem concerned at all. They said the power had been off and on all day so I feel like they probably should've shut down the elevators! read more

I called the hotel directly on Friday BEFORE making reservation and asked specifically if they have hot breakfast. The clerk told me that Monday to Friday it is a hot breakfast, and weekends it is a bag breakfast to go. We were staying Sunday night for Monday departure. After checking in I asked the attendant what time breakfast was and he said that it was just a bag to go. He said they changed the dates 2 weeks ago and now have bag breakfasts on Sunday & Monday. Monday morning I asked for the Mgr, and the clerk said she was the Asst Mgr, and that they are doing this due to COVID, because they are short staffed and the person that does the breakfast has Monday off. The hotel was a huge disappointment. I took a chance due to the low prices and knowing I would only be there to sleep, but things went from bad to worse. The keys NEVER worked, I constantly had to go to the front desk to have them 're-keyed' - the workout room has 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical, which were always in use, so no workouts on the trip. The internet is pathetically slow, I waited forever to just download emails. I could have looked past all of that, however the worst part was that during the second night I heard a horrible 'gurgling' from the kitchenette sink that repeatedly woke me. Once I got up and went out to get coffee and return, I was hit in the face by a horrible 'sewage' smell and realized it was sewer gas coming from the sink and the 'gurling' must have been sewage backing up from a bad drain somewhere else in the building. Upon reporting this to the front desk it was obvious there was no manager on site and no manager would be called to come in. I tried to explain to the young man at the desk how disgusting it was, encourage him to send someone up or do Something! He just replied "well, we'll have to bill you and I'll make a note of it and have a manager call you". That was 24 hours ago, no one has called, no one came to the room - I cut my stay short, got out as quickly as I could and only hope that sleeping in a room filled with sewer gas isn't potentially dangerous to my health. First time staying at a Four Points and I did not have a high expectation being that it just looked like you average Hampton Inn type of place right of the highway, it was the only decent looking thing online that my company per diam would fit so when I booked it I figured it would be basic but I was happy to see hip decor and a full bar when walking in. The staff was great, room much better than normal for the price and the bar was fun and food decent. I was happy to see it was a Starwood place as I normally find a decent value at SPG properties and they are always in the hip side. I hosted a function at this hotel 3 years ago. It was great - the staff was attentive and covered all my needs, and the facility was excellent. I called them to arrange the same event this year, and it was like working with a completely different group of people. Guest rooms were over 1.5x the cost, meeting room unavailable, they didn't have my information (that I sent them) while they were talking to me, so I was giving them details I had already provided...what a mess. I am now looking for a different hotel to work with; I won't be back here. read more

I was married in November but we had never had a honeymoon, I wanted to do something special for Valentine's weekend as of this point my husband and I are living in two separate cities. I went to the hotel in person to book a room, was helped by Josh, who was superb. When I told him I wanted a romantic experience he explained their romance package to me, it sounded great and it WAS!!!! Met all our expectations. Josh was also there when I checked in, answered all our questions immediately. The room was set up even nicer than explained by Erin the food and beverage manager! We had a dozen roses and two long-stemmed roses, one on each pillow, there were two little bottles of champagne and a bowl of strawberries. A gift certificate was included for the restaurant downstairs, we decided to do that on the Friday night (Valentine's). There were a lot of people there watching Olympic hockey, Josh and Chelsea moved us pretty quickly to a private room for dinner and waited on us there!!! The next morning we got our in-room breakfast included in the package, was very wonderful, omelets, coffee, fruit, everything we needed, they did not bring salt and pepper originally but brought some within about three minutes after we pointed it out. We had brought a cake with us, they gave us plates and a cake cutter for that. I asked for a vase for the long stemmed roses and they gave us that. Upon checkout, I had asked for something to put all my roses in because they were still pretty and they gave us foil to wrap them in to bring them home. It was wonderful, romantic weekend, just what I was hunting, so happy we did this, was more than I could have expected. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Really nice hotel. I've stayed her twice and its my go to Starwood property when I am in Charlotte. It's right across the street from Carolina Place Mall, very close to all sorts of restaurants and its just far enough away from the bad traffic and hustle and bustle that you encounter the closer you get to the uptown area. But still not far from uptown (maybe 10-15 mins in a car). Its not far away from light rail stops which can take you straight to uptown quickly without having to worry about parking. And the prices are amongst the lowest of the Starwood properties in Charlotte. Its a good pick guys! read more

The BEST hotel in the local area including Ballantyne area!!!! The Hotel staff are very nice and helpful! There is a restaurant on site and it rocks!! The hotel is in a great area with a lot of restaurants really close and shopping mall within minutes of hotel. I have stayed in the Ballantyne area for years and I travel every week and have stayed at the 2 Starwood properties and the Four Points Sheraton is by far the BEST!! And the price is ALOT cheaper and it's only 2-3 miles from the corp park! So do yourself a favor -and stay here and save $$$ and be treated like you are family!!!!!! Not like a number! They really care about the customer here!! From the cook, check in desk, cleaning crew, the managers they are awesome!! AND this hotel has a shuttle that DOES GO TO THE AIRPORT!!!!! We paid in advance via Expedia, but the hotel insisted on swiping my AmEx anyway. When checking out the following morning, we were not given any sort of receipt - despite asking for one twice. I asked if the $50 on hold would be cancelled, and was told by the receptionist that he seemed to recall a $23 charge for dinner the night before. I assured him we did not have dinner at the hotel, and were not even aware they served dinner. I asked to see the signed charge, but was told it was not available. This response was so unusual, I checked our on-line AmEx account soon as I arrived home today. We had been charged $50. Sounds like a scan, so I reported the incident to AmEx, who will be following up. It's not so much the money, as it is the hassle I will now have to go through to get this straightened out. If you stay here, I suggest you asked for confirmation they will not be billing you for any charges you do not make. And then check your next credit statement carefully. read more

Now i know why it looked like such a nice hotel online but was way lower than the others in the area - Follow the yellow tape and signs to the side door, past the stairwell to the "front desk". It is now 9:00pm and I still hear hammering. Did i mention that one of the phone lines appeared to be cut? They said 5 more weeks until they are done...
