Today, my car 'quit' and I was stranded on Hwy 64 going through Ocoee National Forest. I'm 77 years old, and was not sure what to do. AAA could not determine my exact location. An angel, named Linda, called me from Quality Towing and Recovery. After a brief conversation, she knew exactly where I was. She offered details, and a lot of comfort - as well as a timely tow. She had a driver headed to me quickly, and kept me posted on his arrival. A grandchild was also traveling back home along my same route, and could pick me up. Linda assured me that the driver would either take me home (a LONG way away), or stay with me until grandson arrived, or if grandson arrived before he did, he'd pick up my car and take it to the designated mechanic (if I left my keys where he could find them). While all this should be in the scope of the job of dispatcher, I have found it often is not. Quality Towing and Recovery must be a company who knows 'quality' when they have it working for them. I must trust a company who employs a dispatcher who can 'read' the gravity of a call and respond so swiftly and favorably. En route to town, my car tire was punctured by a sharp object. I called roadside assistance and they dispatched a repair service. I expected to wait at least an hour. Quality towing and recovery showed up in minutes And repaired my tire in minutes so I was able to drive to a shop and purchase a new set of tires.
