By poster, I should clarify that it was a 13"x19", easy enough to do on a colour printer without getting too specialized about the paper. It can be touch and go at some of the big box stores with quality and service from time to time, I get the feeling that isn't the case here. As a franchise, it's got a name and processes behind it, but it's a local owner. And it seems, it's a local owner with a staff that's invested in customer care. Great work Minute Man! But it all came down to this - as a man who runs his family business, he wanted to support a family business. Goldsmiths, a family run jewellery store for the last 40, is the type of place you could drive by everyday on your way to work for a year and not even notice it. Like I did. He knew what type of person I was, he kind of hand an idea of what I would like - so he found a few pictures but more than anything, used words to describe to the staff there what he thought the ring should look like. With the descriptions he gave them, they created a one of a kind, vintage inspired engagement ring. They took time and energy to custom design a setting that he would be proud to put a diamond on. Numerous visit, back and forth decision making, hair pulling, he had nothing but their full attention to make sure it was perfect. On top of that - he says flat out he got the most diamond for his money, far and beyond what other retailers and wholesalers could offer him. I had 2 custom Suntainium 'wind shields' made for my deck before Covid. Near bulletproof. Over the…read moreyears Ive had grommets pop or tear due to windgusts when I failed to retract them. Canvasmart repairs them quickly and inexpensively. And far better than I could. But now I have to say even more. I took both pieces in this time as I lost a grommet on each. Not only were they fixed faster than promised BUT the lady who did the repairs did a full inspection beyond the two holes I marked and found a few spots of 'stress' and pre-emptively patched those too. I havent experienced customer service beyond expectation like this in years. I even called them back to pass on my thanks to the repair dept. And thought the piblic should know this too. I cannot fully express how impressed I am and how highly I recommend them. To think that I only discovered them 20 years ago when I was trying to find bulk burlap for a project. And now they have been my go to on 3 projects since. Just amazing.
