It was really unfortunate because the room was cozy and we were exhausted, so it would have been hard to dampen our experience. That said, the full Irish breakfast was delicious and very quickly prepared by their in-house cook/housekeeper, who is super nice. They also helped us find parking when we arrived and were generally welcoming. Recommended for anyone passing through Tralee and looking for a cozy spot to sleep after a night at the pub.

We are glad that we went to Sean's pub in the evening. We had wanted to hear some live Irish music and lo and behold they had it the night we went. They have live music on Mondays and Fridays. The atmosphere was quaint with a warm feel. The food and service were exceptional! We had the Warm Goats Cheese Crostini and Fish Cakes which were recommended by Sean. They were both very tasty and we highly recommend both! All of the beer tasted fantastic! They must be really diligent about cleaning their draught lines! We popped in after dinner and bellied up to the bar only to be passed over multiple times by the bartenders. They clearly saw us, even made eye contact at times, but just kept moving, taking orders of folks who walked up to the bar well after we had sat down. It was the strangest experience of bar service we had experienced in Killarney. Once the bartender actually acknowledged us, she was friendly. We got our drinks and moved to the front room where they had live music. We finished our drinks, enjoyed the music and called it a night after one pint. The space has all the character of an old Irish pub and we had high hopes for Courtney's, but sadly it was the one negative experience on our trip. Overall, disappointed.
