It went through 3 Allstate recommended shops including a Mercedes Certified repair center with dismal results including paint not buffed out, trunk did not fit right and last one let me have the car with the trunk not opening. Jason was excellent. They took the car, repaired it and returned it to me like it should be. The second time was from a road hazard that gouged out underneath the bumper and rocker panel. I took it straight to Jason because I knew he would repair it like it should be. I also knew Allstate would not cover the cost of the repair there, but I wanted it right and was willing to pay any costs Allstate denied out of my own pocket {$1300}. Again, I got the car back like it should be. I can't say enough great things about every part of their operation that I encountered.

The previous owner Jim Petty had built a great reputation, as evidenced in many reviews that mention him by name. However he, nor anyone else from his company (he was a 1 man show) moved over with the new ownership. So these previous ratings no longer apply to the new owner. Both manta.com & bbb.org still list Jim Petty as the owner for some reason. However if you read the recommendations on manta.com, you will see 2 messages from Jim explaining all that I've just mentioned. In addition, if you call, text or email the contact info listed for Jim on manta & bbb, it is Carolina Auto Spa employees who answer, namely David. David also explained to me in person that the business was bought. Their continuing to use his website, contact info, positive reviews & failing to update their ownership info with Manta & BBB causes even diligent researchers to confuse their inferior reputation/service for Jim's great reputation/service. I recently was duped by this ploy & paid $200 for a detail that was not up to Jim's quality & reputation. I thought he was working out of/with Carolina Auto Spa, but it turns out that they are just using his reputation & website to attract business, but then swaping Carolina Auto Spa's level of service instead, which is sub-par. Please refer to Carolina Auto Spa's reviews. The workers were all very personable, but the misleading bait-and-switch practices leave a lot to be desired. They need to be clear in their ownership, packages (website vs what you actually get), honest in their ratings & actually follow through with superior attention to detail. They take your car somewhere you cannot watch, I got it back, although the tint job itself looked pretty good, it does not do much in the way of blocking heat, can still feel it on my face and arm when driving. Does not look very clear but maybe that is because it is new IDK. What I really am disappointed in is that it seems they never used a drop rag or something to prevent the soap from dripping down my door panels and into my Harmon Kardon speakers nor did they try to even wipe it off. I cleaned it off with a damp microfiber and most came off, got my rear seat wet, I noticed my Alcantara seat in the back now has some wrinkles. Oh and the label they use telling you to not roll down your windows leaves glue residue on the buttons when you remove it. Just cant recommend these folks, they are not very friendly, its like I was bothering them just me being there. Tint looks pretty good though and the price was the cheapest bar none. But I was hoping for a better quality product and better care for my car. Oh and Reving my engine in the service bay is not cool, Make sure you put your car in Valet mode if you take your car here. I give them a 2 out of 5, wish I went elsewhere even if they were more.

On Friday May 6th I had my mother take a different car to work so we could surprise her. I received a call from Christian stating because I booked online a technician was not assigned to the job and they didn't have one available. I explained it was a gift etc. He offered a 20% discount and rescheduled for May 10th at 1:00. May 10th comes and no technician yet again so I txt the owner. He says I am not scheduled my appointment must be with another company, I let him know I am 100% certain I am and I'm certain it's with his company. He lets me know I am scheduled for June 2nd. At this point I call Christian and he confirms he spoke to me and that he is the one who called me to reschedule for the 10th at 1pm ( again my mother left her car here). So on 2 different occasions Mobile Detail Dr did not show up. The 1st time it was blamed on the online booking system second time i was out in on the wrong date. Needless to say at this point I'm finding a more reliable company.
