So I am currently waiting for recovered funds. First contacted late last year. Denise the woman I've been in contact with was quite on top of it when my paperwork needed to be sent it and once it was sent in I spoke with her around Nov/Dec 2019 and was informed that it is going to take some time as the state log was backed up. At least until Feb 2020. My emails and calls have gone un-answered since speaking to her. I'm well aware that its 1000% free via the State website however didnt have the bandwidth to do it myself. I've found no bad news regarding views and the BBB seems to have many glowing reviews. And I am aware that reveiws can be purchased. Will keep this updated once I learn more. They call and constantly bug you, when all you have to do is go on the NYS unclaimed funds website and claim your own money. Yes they file all the paperwork but they also charge you to do that. NOT read more

So, I have a mixed review here. On the bright side, because they called us, we discovered that my wife had unclaimed funds available from her mother's estate. However, they want to charge us a fee to collect it, and there's really no reason to pay that. I was able to find the funds at the state's unclaimed funds website and will get it ourselves with no fee. read more

I dont know why people complained and actually, I dont care. They have been wonderful! They explained everything to me on the phone and one week later I received a packet saying the same thing. It was clearly explained that we have the right to deal with the state ourselves. They told me it could take 90 days, and sure enough I received a call that my check came in almost exactly on the 90th day. Upon receipt of my fee payment they would send me the check. And that's exactly what happened. They returned phone calls promptly and could not have been nicer. If people are complaining its probably because they didn't want to pay the fee.
