Quantum Party Productions exceeded my expectations in every way. Their communication was super clear and friendly and their turnaround time for getting me my invoice and ensuring everything I wanted was on hand was incredibly quick, ensuring that everything was ready and clear well in advance of my event. I'd like to especially call out Jason for communication that was seamless and prompt, making the planning process stress-free. That said, I am huge stress queen! But they were so nice, so kind, and so responsive to me even when I admitted I was maybe panicking for no reason about this or that so I need to shout out that as far as events go, QPP GETS IT. They get that events are supposed to be special, they get what makes an event go from good to GREAT, and they want to help you make it happen. I've rented popcorn and cotton candy machines from them and they are just as nicely taken care of as the folding chairs and tables. I love that! One to share one thing in particular that made me just want to cry with how grateful I was - the hosts I was helping coordinate an event for didn't realize that they had ordered 60" tables (even though it was right there on the invoice and clear - they admitted fully this was their fault for not reading). Jason was able to have his assistant Ruby meet me last minute for extra-large tablecloths when we realized the cloths we had would be too small. On top of that, Jason gave me a great discount even though the issue was totally my or the hosts' fault. That is just one example of superlative service and a company that thinks more about making your event great for you and your guests more than making me pay out the nose for a silly mistake. On top of that, the quality of their equipment and rentals was top-notch, perfect for making any occasion special. Their prices are very reasonable, offering superb value for the quality of the product and service they provide. We hired Quantum Party Productions for our wedding at the Brazilian Room because they were a preferred and recommended DJ on their vendors list. Unfortunately, I was disappointed at their service. On our wedding ceremony, our DJ did not play music on time, allowing there to be a lot of awkward pauses during our ceremony. We also had an issue with the DJ not being familiar with our wedding timeline causing there to be delay in some of the order of events. We had a tight schedule so I was frustrated that we as the married couple had to keep tabs on the time on our phones to tell our DJ when to move on or when to start the next event. I had messaged and called him a couple days before seeing if he had any questions after I filled out his form but he said he had no questions and it was straightforward. So I was very disappointed that on our wedding day he was messing up some of order of events when he was checking with us and was even surprised at the order of events when I had corrected him because I had described it clearly in his form. In addition, we gave him a specific list of songs to play from for our dance floor because we already didn't have a lot of time for the dance floor with our schedule being pushed back and I wanted songs I knew my guests would enjoy dancing to for the little time we had. He decided to play one of his own song of choice for the second song and when I asked him if he could just stick with the list of song I gave him, he gave me an attitude and said "Well then you hired the wrong DJ then". I was frustrated and didn't want to argue with him so I told him he can just play whatever he wants then but it soured the rest of the event for me and I was unhappy with his response. Payton, Bailey and their awesome crew just made our daughter's 13th birthday party a big success! They arrived early and were easy to work with, which helped us get everything set up in time for our guests. Payton played great music and followed the kids' interest in singing karaoke continuously for an hour+. Bailey brought a ton of props for the photo booth and the kids had so much fun with them! I rented tables and chairs for my moms 80th birthday party. Free delivery and pickup in Benicia is great! Jason was very easy to talk to on the phone and got back to me right away when I called. The party was outdoors and It ended up raining (storming!) the day of the party and Jason threw in a tent and was very accommodating on the drop off and pick up times. The rain stopped about 2 hours before the event and the tent was actually needed for shade from the sun! I will be calling Jason again for my next event. read more

Jason was awesome!! I rented Gold Chivari Chairs, Throne Chairs and mulit purpose wine glasses, uplighting from Quantum Party Productions for my Son's wedding at Dan Foley Cultural Center in Vallejo. I had numerous changes, last minute addition and Jason was very patience with me; He responded to my emails and texts messages right away and made the changes accordingly. If there was a 0/5, this would be my overall rating. While the equipment quality was good, the customer experience is 0/5. We were charged in full for our engagement party in San Francisco despite the event company showing up far outside our delivery window and, as a result, inhibiting our guest experience. Our event was scheduled for 1-4pm and, per our contract, the arrival time and complete setup for our rental equipment was scheduled for 10am-12noon. We checked in with the company multiple times that morning to ensure they were on track to honor this window and, despite their assurances, they arrived at 1:00pm and were setting up well past 1:30pm (far after our event was supposed to have started). After the event, we contested the timeline with the CEO and he reassured us he was on time because "[he] looked at [his] watch and it was literally 1:02pm and all the tables were out and setup"...very factual. My fiancé arrived to the party at 1:30pm and the crew was still there working to set things up. In all, we don't feel the level of service we received warranted paying full price. When we raised these concerns with the CEO, rather than admitting when and where they were at fault, we received a (laughable) rebuttal that pointed fingers at us and placed blame on our own guests who tried to help set up the event (yes, the company arrived so late that our own guests were forced to help with setup). We were also met with multiple claims about damage to items our guests allegedly set up...all of which were untrue and unsubstantiated. Good luck getting any business from the 100+ guests at our event including many event planners. DO NOT RECOMMEND and still waiting for an answer back from CEO on partial refund. Bailey did a phenomenal job with the photo booth. Not only was Jason delightful to work with, they were on-time, professional and everything was beautiful. The most amazing service I would like to comment on was Jason's ability to work with a VERY difficult venue manager. The venue we chose had changed managers and the new manager made all aspects of the event difficult. Jason and Quantum were very easy to work with for my wedding on 05/25/24 in Vallejo! They delivered tables, chairs, etc. within the agreed delivery window. Jason was extremely helpful (and patient!) as we had to add/subtract from our order based on fluctuating headcounts. They even were able to provide kid's booster seats and high chairs (though I don't think it's listed on their website). The breakdown crew was also helpful in loading and loading. Quantum Party Products is my go-to rental business when organizing parties/ get-togethers. I have rented items from Quantum in four instances and every time they deliver and pick them up on time. The rental items have always been clean and in good shape, and their prices are fair. Also, I have recommended Quantum to my friends and they have had positive experiences as well. He was probably the most responsive vendor out of all my wedding vendors. I reached out to him about a year before my wedding and he was very friendly and helpful with every detail along the way. Any changes or things I wanted added on, he replied and updated everything quickly! I had a vision and he made it happen. My wedding was held at the Bently Reserve in SF. I wanted my ceremony and reception to look like two completely different rooms and they made it happen! My drapes and all the lighting were set up beautifully! I had everything from uplights, pinspots, customized gobos, the ceiling gobos, and spotlights. He even changed the colors of my lighting when it was time for my guests to dance. So awesome! ​It's unfortunate I have to leave this review, but I would hate for another bride to go through what I went through. I rented 3 items; the popcorn machine, a white dance floor, pipe and drape and purchased what should have been a floor wrap with our custom monogram. Popcorn machine- Was not properly cleaned and the Popcorn was stale and extremely salty. Pipe and drape- The delivery guys delivered the pipe and drape and tried to leave without setting it up. Prior to my wedding id spoken with Jason he said they would set it up. I sent him pictures of how I wanted it to look. The day of my wedding my day of Coordinator reached out to Jason and he confirmed they had to setup the pipe and drape. The delivery guys threw the pipe and drape up, it looked horrible! So we had to fix it, to make look presentable. Well, the drape was filthy!! There were stains and it had a fowl odor. The white dance floor- The delivery guys didn't know how to properly install the floor. Pieces of the floor were coming up, the edges were not secured. Me and my guests were stumbling all night. The dance floor was disgusting!!! It looked like they had brought it straight from another event. They didn't bother to clean it, wipe the tiles down or anything. AGAIN my day of Coordinator had to step in and have them at least sweep it and they did a horrible job at that. The floor wrap- The floor wrap was literally a big white sticker. I was charged $300! It looked like someone printed it from home on sticky paper and stuck it on the floor. The wrap was on what looked like white paper. It was the wrong size and it was in the wrong position. I still think about that horrible dance floor. To add insult to injury the delivery guys snuck of before checking with the Coordinator that everything was OK. All the other vendors checked in and had her sign off that everything was as stated in the contract, BUT NOT QUANTUM!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take your business elsewhere. You will regret doing business with them. Jason was nice throughout the entire process. I asked him for a portion of my money back because he did deliver a service, and he gave me some of my money back. But at this point its not enough. read more

I am suprised to hear Jenn H complain about Jason. What Jenn H does not know is that Jason is not in charge of making sure people have champagne, if the bride did not pay for the waiters to come out and make sure everyone had champagne befor the toast that was her perogative. People ususally have drinks and can toast with whatever beverage they have at the time. I just got married 10 days ago and Jason was GREAT!!! he kept me together and rolled with any last minute changes I had. He was professional and listened to my guests whenever they wanted to hear something he played it and kept people out on the dance floor. In the pre-planning phase Jason met with me near my work 2 times and on my shcedule. I had no idea what I was doing and he made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen that day and had really great suggestions, things I would never have thought of myslef. I also think it is important to get a DJ who is familiar with your venue, which Jason has been working at the JSM for years and the staff and owner know him and work well with him. We just had our wedding on Valentine's Day few weeks ago. Jason was superb!! He is super easy going and very good at reading the crowd. I did not even have to pick any songs and just trusted him with the song list for the night. All the guests enjoyed the music. Since we did not hire an MC, he also played the part very well. He is very responsible. During the equipment setup, he even ran out of the hotel looking for us because my projector was not setup even though it was not even his responsibility to set it up for us. The evening went very smoothly and according to schedule even without an MC nor a wedding planner because Jason followed a schedule that I had given him. Quantum was the most disappointing vendor we hired for our wedding in 2018. We hired Quantum for DJ/emcee (Jason who is also the owner), photobooth, and rentals (arbor, drapes, uplights), after finding him on Yelp. The entire experience, including the day of, felt disorganized and unprofessional. DJ/emcee- None of our guests knew we even had one at the wedding. We provided him a list of songs we wanted to be played for the reception (which he did) but the songs were not blended or cut in a manner that read the crowd. I think him DJing was the equivalent of putting my spotify list on speakers. Emcee? If we had to grade it, C- to be generous. I guess he made the announcements but no one could hear him so a lot of people missed our first dance and cake cutting. Photobooth- be prepared for high-school attendants (who weren't really sure what they were doing to be honest) to manage your booth and a ghetto layout. The strip prints were also not high quality and the font/style we had agreed on for the bottom of the prints were not present. Rentals- we were suppose to get a brown wooden arbor for the ceremony but he brought a black one. When I asked him why it was black, he looked at it and called it "dark brown" despite my entire bridal party of 8, photographers, and videographers agreeing with me it was black. I had him remove since I definitely didn't want a black arbor at a wedding. After a few emails post-event, he finally agreed to refund me for the arbor but didn't repay me for the flowers I already paid to decorate the arbor or apologize upfront. Overall, I would not recommend working with this company. If he was more apologetic or less defensive and confrontational, I would say perhaps he might learn from the feedback. Don't let the SF address of the site fool you as it's just a single room (with a table and 3 chairs...). I guess this was our mistake for not seeing that as an early warning sign. read more

My wife and I recently got married at The Brazilian Room in Berkeley, CA. We asked Quantum to both DJ (which was done by Jason Shires) as well as bring a day of coordinator (which was done by Jason's wife, Kit). They both performed amazingly well. I will say that communication early on was a bit dodgy, but I imagine they are so busy. We did end up coordinating well enough through email and phone calls. Jason was very receptive and calming. He was open to many music suggestions and was really easy to work with. Kit was the same. We set up a detailed schedule of what was going to happen on the big day and as a result, everything went off without incident. Kit was super easy to work with. We did not have to worry about anything. She pretty much told everyone what to do and where to stand/go/say etc. Both of them were awesome to work with. Jason played some excellent tunes and MCed real well. He encouraged lots of folks to come dance and his cues were on point. Highly recommend Quantum! read more

Hey, please bring someone with you. This location is deep in the refinery area. Very scary, especially women. If you're alone, I made contact via phone a few weeks ago regarding a aisle for a wedding I was told they have square blocks that they use for that and I could come by and take a look.. so today well out in about I decided to go bye driving in was very taunting very scary as I was alone as I put in the lot. I did not even park I figured OK I'm here there was a sign that said open I went in the door the entrance was a step in. There was a door in front of me. A woman came out in a man was to my right, and another door on the phone. He quickly got off the phone shoot the woman away as I was talking to her and begin to say appointments only you can only come if you have an appointment I tried to explain that I had spoke with him, and I just wanted to get a visual on the blocks they have for the aisle.. he continue to say appointmentsOnly.. The whole encounter gave me more fear. I turned, jumped in my car and left. Very strange. read more

Jason was always very attentive in answering all my questions and emails and was able to let me pay it off on a payment plan up until a month before the wedding. They knew the location of the venue, were on time, and set up nicely! They had a huge variety of props and I loved the gold sequin for the backdrop (which you can choose form the colors they have). We got a great deal for photobooth and DJ and probably would have gone with him for lighting as well, but our venue (Palm Event Center) only allowed preferred vendors. Hoping to see QPP on that list! Jason and his wife ended up being our photobooth attendants and they were such a blast to work with! They really know how to go with the flow and get people excited. **DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME** I contacted Jason back on June 21st via phone with questions about lighting & linen for our wedding. He was helpful, answered all my questions and gave me a competitive verbal quote. He also texted me pictures of the lighting he's done for our venue in the past and he let me know he would email me a copy of his estimate. June 23rd I followed up for a copy of the estimate. He said he would get it to me. June 27th I followed up again. He gave me the total amount through text but no emailed contract/invoice or any details on how to hire him. July 1st I followed up again and made it clear that I wanted to hire him for the event. Again he said he would provide me with an invoice. July 9th I followed up yet again asking for the invoice. He said he would send it that day. July 16th I followed up again asking for the invoice. He did not respond. August 1st I called him and left a voicemail asking for a 7th time to provide me with an invoice so I can hire him for our wedding. He did not respond. August 8th my fiancée calls him, he asks to call her back in 5 mins so he could look up our info, she asks him are you really going to call back?(a valid question given his recent track record & growing frustration on our part). He then tells her we should move on and hire someone else then proceeds to leave disrespectful comments about my wife on Yelp for leaving a poor review. We shouldn't have to ask anyone 8 times for anything. That's 7 times too many. Jason had multiple chances over the course of 2 months to provide us w an invoice but failed each time & tried to somehow pass the blame on to us when we became frustrated. As if being upset with him not providing us a simple invoice after 8 requests was unreasonable. After Jason's utter failure, I contacted another vendor who's familiar with setting up the lights at our venue, he was able to provide a competitive estimate, contract & was booked within hours. Telling us to move on was the best service Jason provided us. He lied on these Yelp comments saying I didn't respond to him, was vague, called last min etc. All of those things are not true and is him simply trying to salvage his reputation to anyone who reads these reviews. He knows the truth. Take a look through the other Yelp reviews on here and you'll see a pattern. Every time someone has a bad experience with him, he flips it and makes it the customer's fault, as I'm sure he'll do with this review as well. This just screams un-professionalism & insecurity. I've stated nothing but facts w dates, he can easily scroll through his phone and see the truth staring back at him. At this point, if he has any shred of integrity he would own up to his mistakes like a man & simply apologize. It's good for the soul Jason. Any engaged couples out there reading this, looking for a rental company, I highly suggest to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other reliable options in the Bay Area, no need to risk such an important event. Spoke with Jason over the phone regarding setting up chairs for a wedding event at the Palace of Fine Arts. Not only did he beat his competitor's price, he was honest over the phone and told us that they could deliver the chairs there, and wait for us to set them up and break them down, saving us money!
