Cozy, comfortable, clean, quiet and beautifully decorated with vintage charm. Our stay at the Lincoln was fabulous!!! And did I mention that the location is perfect!?! It's walking distance to everything in Marfa! The grounds are gorgeous too! If you are looking for a great place to stay in Marfa, this is it!!

The Lincoln, Marfa, is a wonderful place. Traveling from ATX to PHX. Such a nice detour from the hustle.

Well, where do I even start on this lovely location! The Lincoln Marfa is definitely a character of its own. So unique but nostalgic at the same time. We only stayed overnight but I wish we had stayed a bit longer. I would definitely book here again if we were in Marfa. We stayed in #10 which looked exactly how it looks online on their booking site. Upon arrival, they have an old school radio playing music which was really cool. When we were getting ready to check out the next day, my daughter thought it was just so cool that she could listen to music on the radio. She got a kick out of that. There's lots of places to eat in Marfa but if you want to cook something for yourself, the Lincoln Marfa has your covered with a great stove, pots/pans, cups, plates and bowls. Also a great amount of cooking tools like a pizza cutter, knives, etc. We got one queen sized bed that was super comfy with its pillows and comforter. The coffee books and magazines were also a nice touch! Also liked the remote controlled AC/heater. Felt so futuristic in a nostalgic place. One of the things I liked a lot was the guest book. Lots of interesting characters that have stayed before you, and you can add your own interesting story to the book as well! It is conveniently located near places to eat and things to check out!

Such a special, unique and charming establishment. I don't think I can quite describe this place. It's one of those things you just have to see and experience for yourself. The ambiance, the location, the thoughtful touches throughout, the vibe, the eclectic yet tasteful esthetics makes it all feel so high-end, but without pretentiousness. The owners were so casually and effortlessly friendly. But the real MVP was their dog, who quickly made friends with ours. Very dog friendly. If you like that sorta thing, but their is also dog free areas for those that don't. I felt like I was in a movie the entire time I was in Marfa and the Lincoln was my home.

Such a great chill vibe and very cool rooms! Loved the bottles in the wall, the silver light bulbs, and super comfy bed.

The Lincoln Marfa is a great Hotel that captures the art side of the City of Marfa. It is centrally located, and convenient to walk anywhere in the central area to enjoy the art galleries and look at some past history that made Marfa famous. Note that most of the galleries are closed , most Sunday through Wednesday. Thursday through Saturday the galleries are open. Most businesses close at 5 PM. However, there are some local bars and restaurants in the nearby hotels. The room I had was a queen suite, with a full kitchen and fully stocked needs like dishes, utensils, full size stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave and utensils includingh knives, pots and pans and complete utensils for cooking and eating. There is a supermarket you can walk to or drive to easily. Hopefully the attached photos help. The Lincoln Marfa is very clean and the staff is responsive via text. There is no lobby and check in communication and process is easy and well documented for you, especially via text. Very convenient! There is a small central courtyard with a fire pit and everything necessary to enjoy a nice evening outside, especially in the cooler nights. It was still in the 80's at sunset, so the fire pit was not an option for me. (You are in the high desert and it is dry and a bit dusty, and will be cool in the morning.)

Such a cute and safe ambiance. This hotel has all the fixings for the Marfa experience: multiple fire pits, bbq grill, pool, murals, kitchenettes, and cozily furnished rooms. Each room is a unique experience, just a stones throw away from Big Bend national park. We were in room 4, which came with a living space, Kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. We easily slept 3 in the space. Our bathroom was on the smaller side and the shower unfortunately did not have an enclosed space - as a result, we ended up getting water all around the bathroom. However, the water supply was plentiful and hot, which was a big plus. The bed was also a little creaky and uncomfortable. The room was thoughtfully stocked with anything and everything we could need: makeup towels, knives, extra towels, rugs, and so forth. The staff was super quick in getting us extra sheets for the sofa bed. That night, we enjoyed the dark starry night sky with our bonfire in the courtyard. The space is mostly quiet at night, with the exception of train noises. Make sure to pack bug spray and marshmallows. Parking is free and right out front. Overall, a terrific experience!

The linens and bedding were so good--super comfortable and cozy (Hi, Marfa brand I think?). Honestly, I wanted to take them home with me... if anyone knows where to buy them online, let me know. The Aesop bath products were also a big plus, though they accidentally had the hand soap in the shower and the body wash at the sink--and since they're locked in, there's no swapping them. Minor detail, but a little funny. Rooms themselves are large, open, and feel spacious, which I appreciated. Now for the downsides. The biggest issue was noise. You can hear pretty much everything--people walking above, talking next door, doors constantly slamming. Not ideal if you're hoping for a quiet, restful stay. The lighting in the room was also a bit lacking--definitely could've used an extra lamp or two to warm things up. The overall design is nice but starting to feel a little dated... kind of like a W Hotel refresh from around 2015 that hasn't been touched since. And the bathroom sink... I don't know what's going on there, but without any kind of filter on the spout, the water splashes everywhere. I somehow ended up with a wet shirt and pants just from washing my hands. A couple other things to note: the restaurant and bar seem to close early (around 9:30), and when we were heading out at 10, nothing was open--so not sure if they offer breakfast or coffee in the morning. If not, that feels like a missed opportunity. All that said, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and for a small town like Marfa with limited options, it's still a solid choice. Would I stay again? Probably. Would I call it luxury? Meh.

West Texas is vast, so decided to stay in Marfa for 3 nights. The weather in March is unpredictable, ie can swing from cold to hot so searched for a place w/a pool. Found the Thunderbird Hotel which ticked all my boxes: clean, modern, comfy bed, phthalate-free soaps and body products and nicely appointed intentional design details. The pool is unheated and I didn't end up using it but did enjoy watching TV at night in the Guest Lounge which also has a microwave, mini fridge, bathroom facilities, a comfy sectional couch and a selection of board games. It's about a 15 min. walk into town. March is off-season for this area but found a number of wonderful places to eat or drink: Bordos, Planet Marfa, Jett's Grill... Also got a tour of Building 98, an essential soak in Langford Hot Springs at Big Bend, a quick visit to Prada Marfa, the Judd Fdn, and other galleries around town. Angela is the manager and was huge help on getting me settled into my room (the hotel has a remote key system for checking in). The one thing I think all hotels could improve upon, including Thunderbird, is adding hooks for backpacks, purses, jackets, etc. and/or drawers or shelving so that all your stuff is not just sitting on the floor. The front desk was very polite but informed us it wouldn't be ready until 3. No worries, we walked over to the Gage Gardens. Basically, a botanical garden and the only thing green in all of West Texas. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk through it but is very nice. We then went to the brewery/bbq spot to have a few beers while we wait. We went back to the reception desk at 3:45 and room still not ready. We actually didn't get in until about 4:30. Not that big of a deal but a little annoying. The room itself felt old. Old school metal keys, no TV, small room and old furniture (more antique like than outdated). There isn't much insulation as you will hear any noise going on in the hallway. There is no elevator so don't stay on the 2nd floor if you can't walk up a flight of stairs. Of course, my lady friend packed everything and the kitchen sink in her bag forcing me to carry it up the stairs. The grounds are great. Cool courtyard with various fire pits. The White Buffalo bar, V-6 coffee shop and the 12 Gage restaurant are also connected to the hotel. Plus, they own an art gallery, a distillery, and I think the pizza place, brewery and bbq place down the block. Don't get fired from Gage if you work here, there aren't a lot of other places to get employed. You'd have to move! We had drinks at the Buffalo Bar before walking down to Ghostfire pizza. We didn't get reservation in time to eat at the 12 Gage but that was fine because the pizza was really good. There are various style rooms, and we got basically the cheapest one at 289.00 (with taxes and fees) . I don't think it's worth the price for what we received but the hotel itself is decent.

From the outside, it feels like a preserved relic of the 19th century--but step through the doors and the illusion gives way. Inside, the past moves to the present, revealing a bright, modern boutique hotel where clean design and contemporary touches transform the space into something entirely unexpected. Our stay at Marfa House was nothing short of delightful, offering the kind of comfort and space that immediately puts you at ease. We booked the Bandelero Suite, and it felt far more like a thoughtfully designed apartment than a typical hotel room. With two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a small living area, and access to a balcony, it provided more than enough room for our family of four to spread out and relax. The primary suite featured a cozy queen bed and private bath, while the second bedroom--equipped with two doubles that could be combined--offered flexibility and comfort, even with its more compact bathroom. What truly elevated the experience was the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher, everything you'd need to settle in for more than just a short stay. It had all the creature comforts of home, making it easy to imagine lingering a little longer. Even small touches stood out: when we realized an iron and ironing board weren't in the room, the staff promptly delivered one and kindly pointed us to extra towels available nearby, adding to the welcoming, low-key hospitality. Its location made it an ideal home base for exploring Marfa and beyond, with easy drives to landmarks like the film location for the iconic movie "Giant" staring Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James Dean. Down the road was, the iconic Prada Marfa, and to the east is the McDonald Observatory, and Balmorhea State Park. While it may not carry the same historic prestige as Hotel Paisano or the sleek edge of Hotel Saint George, Marfa House has a charm all its own--modern, comfortable, artistic, and refreshingly affordable. It's the kind of place you don't just stay in--you genuinely enjoy living in, even if only for a few days.
