But if you 're impatient, you can sit and eat there. They have a seating area where you can enjoy a panini and a bottle of San Pellegrino or cakes and coffee. You can even sit outside but do you get the sound of the cars off Parramatta Road The home-made pizzette, lasagne and panini are impressive but the counter with the beautiful cakes is hard to walk past. Small individual cakes covered in strawberries and chocolate or family sized pies and quiche, bundt cake and slices. I've stopped in many times to have a quick bite with a friend and I have really enjoyed myself. The service is friendly and fast. The food is fantastic. Last time I had a pizzetta with salad and a coffee. I don't know which brand they use but it's 'lush'. There are no downsides to Locantro, you just have to walk a little further.

All the produce used in the food is fresh and most likely of organic origins (which I'm guessing on the decor and vibe). Simple and clear menu has some classics like a Chicken Schnitzel but done with a humble salad and chipotle that transports your tastebuds. Breakfast has some healthy-ish options but these are taken in consideration with the core component of the meal. Take the Bacon and Egg Roll, it's served as a burger and the barbecue sauce commands the dish. Cakes and pastry is sold as eat-in and take away items (which change every so often), coffee and milkshakes as well. The gingerbread is a favourite of mine - super refreshing for the sinus. At the end of the day, this is a humble little place that 's rustic feel and pastel interiors make it feel homely and the food cements this feeling. A place to return for sure.

Crown St Grocer has a selective choice of fine chocolates and desserts, including tiramisu and deliciously smooth chocolate mouse and whilst I'm yet to try their coffee (beans by Campos), their selection of fresh sweets (Portuguese tarts and delicious chocolate truffles) always manage to snag me just as I think I'm leaving the shop. The best thing about Crown Street Grocer for me? They know how to stack a rack. Bitter. Not that nice but meh. Again it was the pastries. Chai latte was pretty gross. Too sweet, powder not mixed in. Don't recommend at all. Overall a really positive experience and one that we will definitely we reliving.
