Their free internet doesn't work if you get stuck at the end of the hall. The casino is non smoking and the nice pool can make up for a lot, but, the bartenders that charge you 8 bucks for a drink that doesn't even resemble what you ordered is too much. Slots are tight but to be expected, but when when you have to teach the bartender to make an Irish coffee and tell them a rum and coke is supposed to have rum in it....stay somewhere else or just avoid the casino. Irish coffee is not just black coffee with a little sugar. A mai tai is not plain orange juice with some random fruit stuck in it. I think we will go elsewhere next time in Yuma. read more

Where to start. First they mailed a $100.00 free play and they switched it to $10.00. They were so rude and didn't care. They said too bad. Then we were dumb enough to spend the night and not cancel the reservations we had, during check in I asked if we can get a late check out. The lady in the front desk said yeah no problem. Just call the front desk in the morning. Well in the morning I called and I was told no. That they weren't giving late check outs. Again it's a bait and switch situation. My mother 78, wanted to stop here coming back from AZ. She has cancer and we needed a handicap room. We went downstairs after checked in and came back up and keys didn't work. They said they will would send up maintenance they took 40 minutes to show. Then the first had to get another they could not get it fixed said security had to get it reset. 1 hour later still no security. Called front desk again she said she would call back. 20 minutes later no call. My mom is tired now at this point. We can't leave our room. Then husband went downstairs and the so called manager got a key and said let me try well surprise her key didn't work either. She said she can move us but not a handicap room. I explained we need a handicap room. I told her I wanted a discount and to leave us be my mom was tired. She said she couldn't. My husband asked to speak to her supervisor she said she is the only supervisor on duty. I told her then she must have the authorization to do so. She said she has to to the CSM and would call me back. That was 20 minutes ago and still no call. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If we were not so tired from a day of travel we would leave we are so upset in the treatment we have received. read more

We have stayed here 4-5 times but after this last visit, never again! My friend was totally over served at the bar.......6 double drinks in 2 hours. That's like 12 drinks in 120 minutes. When I tried to get them to stop I was told the bartender has been with them since day 1 and knows when someone has had too much to drink. Also there was a group of 15-20 family members that were so loud and drunk at the bar. Security told me theyve been keeping an eye on them all week. But still they let their kids run wild in the pool area. Jumping in and out of the hot tub without adult supervision and throwing a football to and from the hot tub while we were all in it. And finally at 3am I called the front desk with a noise complaint because they were partying at the pool and we could hear them up in our room as if they were next door. read more

I would give zero stars. We spent well over $1,000 on our stay here. I usually write positive reviews only. But this was the most disappointing stay I've ever had a casino. We are platinum card holders and go to Vegas avidly. I'm well informed on hotel stays as we go around 10 times a year. I've also worked with housekeeping and I am baffled at the customer service we received from upper management They are SCAMMING for "DAMAGES" fees (They NEVER responded to our inquiries to charging $150 in damages). I was shocked to see a charge on my husbands card. We called and were not given any reason for the charge. We called again they gave us a receipt for bedding (sheet, pillow, comforter, mattress cover) for blood? I had a bloody nose from the dry air?!? Blood is easily removed. So, I suggest if you are going to stay at this casino you sleep on the floor or bring your own linens cause "how dare you bleed on or leave any markings on our white sheets". Sheets are also white--so they can be bleached until the cows come home. Part of being in hospitality business especially a casino business--people bleed and things happen. There were no damages done intentionally or due to negligence. This place gave no consideration and charged us for the "damages" that will be treated, bleached and then used again. Also, casinos are regulated by OSHA and staff are well aware on the proper procedures for potential bloodborne pathogen exposure because blood is a common occurrence in stays incidences such as nose bleeds, cuts, and even menstrual blood). Also, upon checking in our A/C unit was rattling like a tin can. We were exhausted and wrote it off. It's been 2 days of trying to reach a manager leaving voicemails and emails -- nothing. So we will never stay here again. This place chases nickels with thousand dollar bills. I'll put my money where my mouth is in Vegas. There is also another review like mine that posted only a week ago, so I think it must be tough times for you guys. You've wasted my time but I hope to save another person from your establishment. Well, I went here because I heard the steak house is good. I took my wife and daughter with hopes of enjoying a nice steak dinner but when we tried to get a table we were told that they currentLy had a big party and couldn't set us for two hours. Stayed 2 nights on April 15-17. I do not recommend this casino hotel for the following reasons: 1. No handicap parking for hotel guests. 2. A good size clean king room with nice furnishings and a feather duvet. Central a/c was on and icy cold. The pool view was really fun and nicely lit up at night after a mountain sunset. We had $2 beer in Sidewinders, a $6.50 southwest chicken salad at Gila Bend, and the weekender $8.95 breakfast buffet at Ocotillos which BTW was awesome if just for the shredded beef tacos, chilaquiles, and bread pudding. Tacos for breakfast are amazing. The room I paid for was $124 total. There is a $100 deposit and a $10 a day resort fee. After checkout the $100 deposit went back on my card before I made it to my truck in the parking lot which is smart of them because I doubled back for that breakfast buffet lol. I was impressed. A casino in the middle of the Arizona desert in the best way to describe the Q. It's close to the Cali/AZ border as well as a very short drive to Algodones. The standard comparison for me is always the Vegas experience. I didn't stay in a room but I was at the Q for a company party. The casino floor is not huge but there are a good number of slots and they do have some table games as well as a small poker room. The gambling experience is okay. They have a card version of roulette which I'm not a fan of. Essentially the wheel has cards for each position on the board but because I can't see or verify that the cards I wasn't a huge fan of this type of roulette. The also have blackjack, I think Pai gow poker or some other similar table games. Make sure you sign up for a player's card! The blackjack experience was very interesting. The players all make very interesting plays that run counter intuitive to optimal blackjack strategy. I sat at the table for at least a couple hours and saw some very interesting plays. If you're a superstitious gambler that believes in the cards, this may bother you. There was also a very interesting situation when a gentleman sat at the table in the #2 seat but was playing the first chair table spot. A lady sat down in the first chair intending on playing the 1st spot but the gentleman didn't want to move from the 1st seat playing spot and wanted the lady to reach over him to play the 2nd seat even though he was sitting in the 2nd chair already. The dealer didn't want to ask to guy to move and she seemed bothered that the lady wouldn't reach over the guy and his chips to play the 2nd seat table spot. As a gambler there was a lot of bad energy and IMO that ruined the good luck I was having. I wasn't a fan of the customer service from that dealer nor from the bad luck she brought. I continued gambling but walked away even money. The food for our party was catered by the Q and all of the sides were very good, the meats were heavily salted but all the desserts were good. The big ballrooms are a nice event space and the bartenders were polite and provided good service. Overall, based on my gambling experience, I thought the dealers didn't real give off that good energy that would keep me at a table. Call it customer service or whatever but with the right dealer I either leave the tables up or tapped. The dealers I had actually helped me leave the table even money, which in gambling is still good. The food was alright. I'd expect a decent experience here if you decide to stay here. I believe they do have some shows as well as dinner specials. I'd say I had an average experience. They have all the amenities that you'd expect from a casino. read more

We stay at casino hotels often. This hotel charged us for accidental bedding damage (pillow cover, sheet, and comforter) that is not typically charged by other hotels. After several phone calls over multiple days and multiple voicemails left for supervisors with no returned calls, I requested email addresses. After sending several emails and making a few more calls, I finally received a phone call back that explained the charge. When asked if the hotel would consider the thousand dollars we lost gambling and spent in the casino, documentable through our players card, they explained it was a different department and that the $150 would not be refunded. We stayed here on our way home from Sedona. I was worried because of the reviews. I got a suite on the high Floor. Check in was quick, friendly, and easy. My room was very clean, large, and loved the bath and body works products! The towels are nice and fluffy! I had the best Indian taco for dinner. Me and my family stay here for the night. We wanted to rest so we would be ready to hit our destination the next day. I liked it cause it was very clean. They have a restaurant and they have really good prices to eat breakfast are lunch. They also have a buffet restaurant but we didn't have time to try. If you go to the other side of the casino you find a nice bar and they have musical guest each week just check their calendar. They really have a nice pool set up but some we came in the winter it was close. Prices are a little expensive but if you look you might find something cheaper but I wouldn't know clean it would be and customer service you'll get at the others hotel. We live in San Diego and drove out here for over 2 hours . Upon arrival the front desk woman said we had no room even after showing her our bank account that was charged . Very friendly staff in this newer, very clean, five story hotel. The staff everywhere in the hotel, casino and restaurants like to visit with you. Great food in three restaurants and a food court, good air conditioning and TV. They loose a star because my toilet paper dispenser was empty and they have a $10 resort fee they add on to the room price that I don't like. If you are going to Los Algodones for dental work, you can get a room for $79 (+$10). The room is a typical room with a queen bed, two night stands and a desk. The bathroom sink is outside the bathtub/shower and toilet room. Free parking, wifi, Keurig coffee and bottled water. $5 free slot play and discounted meals with casino membership. It's a little more expensive than the hotels in Los Algodones, but a nice retreat. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here just for the lazy river this weekend, and it was amazing. We spent most of the day outside at the river and under one of their cabanas. It was 105 degrees yet the water was cool and clean. Not too crowded either, it started getting crowded around 4pm so we left for our room. The room is nothing special, but it's very clean I must say. Perfectly white towels and sheets. They let you control the thermostat too, so our room was super chilly. There's no mini fridge or microwave which I thought was odd. We ended up paying $140/ night, which I think is too pricey for what you get? The air conditioner in the rooms can't seem to keep up with the hot weather. The air conditioner wakes me up sometimes because it's loud when it's on and it powers down all the way every 30-45 minutes it seems like. Restaurants 5 stars!! The food is very good at all the restaurants even the snack bar. It's nice they have a Starbucks next to snack bar to. The buffets are awesome (when their Open) all the food is well priced and so are drinks. Theirs a sea food buffet only in weekend that's out of this world which I highly recommend. Outdoor pool 5 stars!! Two words Lazy River!! Love it! The pool hasn't been opened much the last 6 months because of renovations but even then it's open a limited time during the year and during certain times. Gaming floor 2 stars! My sister stayed here over the weekend. The check in clerk was very nice and helpful but the remaining days were very different. The tv didn't work. When my sister told the front desk they were indifferent and didn't even ask what room. I had reservations for a regular, basic room ($90/night) for Wed. & Thurs., and a suite with pool access for Fri. & Sat. ($300/night). I did a little gambling after arriving on Wed, and went back to the room rather late that night. I was unable to get the TV to turn on and figured it might be due to the goo, gunk, and fuzz stuck in and around the buttons on the remote. I traded it for a different one at the front desk that was only in slightly better shape; still no luck with the TV. Attempting to make a cup of tea, I almost lost my lunch when I opened the coffee maker to heat the water. Filthy and disgusting! (Check my photo(s) if you have a strong stomach). The shameful state of the coffee maker made me take a closer look around the room. UNBELIEVABLY DISGUSTING! I swear, the thick dust/grime on the smoke detector, headboard, walls, etc., looked like they hadn't been touched since the 'resort' opened in '09. Under the bedskirt was a nasty, used lip balm, and large bottle of prescription medicine (a strong antibiotic : / ). There was also a peach pit plainly visible under the TV stand. By that point, I couldn't get out of that hotel fast enough. So, at 1:30 a.m, I packed my things and went to the front desk, to let them know that I was leaving and why. ( Not what I wanted to do at that hour with no where to go! ) Asking to speak to a manager, I was told she would be in later that morning. I emailed the photos I am posting here to the lady on shift that night, and asked her to forward them to her manager. I did get a call the next morning offering an apology,and was also told I would not be charged for the previous night ... HA! Really? How generous of you! She also said since my players rewards qualified me for a free room, I wouldn't be charged for my suite one night of the 2 I had it reserved. (I would have canceled but it was my grand daughters request for her birthday). The whole experience was so insulting. My family and I meet there regularly and we don't scrimp. We make many trips to the cafe for countless pizzas, drinks, ice cream, drinks from the bar, we tip, and we gamble ... we drop a nice chunk of change (obviously; that's why my rewards points qualified for a free night at the hotel in the first place). It would have been nothing for them to comp me both nights for the pool suite, and would have meant alot to me. Customer service FAIL, in my opinion. In all honesty, I don't think they care in the least little bit; the gaming sells itself; people will come no matter what quality service they offer. That night, I ended up driving about 20 miles to Cocopah Casino and Resort and so glad I did. The price was extremely reasonable, the room was CLEAN, they offer free breakfast, and had a business center I needed to use. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The casino is a small, pit stop kind of casino. The lazy river is small and the pool is decent size. Not enough umbrellas for it being in a hot, sunny area. Outdoor pool and hot tub were cold as ice. The pool attendant told us the heater had been broken for 3 weeks. We chose this casino to stay at because they advertised a heated pool. We were really looking forward to going into the pool and hot tub. When I made the reservations I specifically asked if the heated pool was open and was told it was. When we checked in we were told it was open. There was nothing on the website saying the pool heater wasn't working. There still isn't. They just don't care I guess. We talked to a manager and got a list of excuses. Will not be going back to this place. read more
