It was a good 3-minute look, but definitely shouldn't be dubbed a "market".

Prices vary widely but most items are clearly marked so you'll know which things are within budget and which are the splurges. Bricks and countertops are in the fenced-in outdoor area. The staircase to the second and third levels is just inside the main entry on the right, and there is a gender-neutral restroom there too. Staff is friendly, helpful, and easy to find. Parking is available on the street (free, no meters). I also met a very sweet and friendly shop cat wandering around. Bonus points for the shop cat. Note - as with any large building full of really cool very old building materials, there is a pervasive musty smell in the air, so if you're sensitive to those things (allergies, asthma, etc.) a mask might be a good idea.

Obviously I need to update that picture with one when they're actually open, because when they are open it's crazy busy. Nevertheless, there she is in all her glory. Open every Sunday from 9-5pm, the hours of a true Flea Market, and boasting an admission price of only $0.25 I believe. You too can partake in the adventure of a lifetime. This place has it all, and none of that dollar store crap. I've found so many amazing deals here that I actually have to restrain myself from going every week. They usually even have local farmers selling produce outside. There are 3 giants rooms filled with booth after booth and you can easily kill a few hours here. Take your time and look carefully, there's a lot of junk in there and you really have to scan through everything to find the gold. They also have a small restaurant, which doesn't really have much that I can eat other then fries, but it's there if you need it. One quick tip: If you drive around to the back of the building, you should be able to find a decent parking place because no one seems to think there's parking back there, along with a separate entrance.

As we walked away...he became more enraged looking for attention because we decided NOT to buy the flowers at the higher price or give his bad behavior any further attention. He told us not to ever come back lol...I think he missed our intent was to NOT spend our money with him and we decided we will not be back to buy flowers from him. I've grown to love it, and I'd call it my favorite place to shop for antiques in the area, quite certainly because they practically have everything you could ever want from an antique mall! This antique mall is a part of the stretch of antique places along Main Street in Clarence; they're all connected as a part of the whole 'Antique World & Flea Market' business. Uncle Sam's Antique Co-Op previously sat in this location. Inside it is most certainly a booming antique mall, with separate areas for a couple of different vendors, and all sorts of items on display for sale. In particular I noticed old books, vinyl, LIFE magazines, clothes a ton of old photographs, and they also had a ton of cool jewelry and furniture. I actually spotted a couple of things I would have been more than happy to buy if they hadn't ended up being so out of my budget. Also included in the antique mall is a small area designated as the 'country store,' which offered baked good mixes, noodles, seeds, even fudge! There are also a few home decor items that aren't technically antiques/old, but they're designed in that style. I've brought home so many of my favorite antiques from here - recently a re-purposed oil lamp, a framed heinz ketchup ad, and a mesmerizing pilgrim lady I had to go back and buy because I couldn't stop thinking about her eyes. I'm half convinced something possessed me. She just wanted a home! (Wow, she's a crazy antique lady, huh?!) Staff was incredibly friendly, probably the most friendly I've ever experienced while antique shopping. While making our rounds we were frequently asked if we needed help with anything, if we wanted to see anything behind the display cases, ect. We were also kept very informed on items that were on sale. I wish I could have found something to take home there, as it feels like the sort of store you would love to be able to support. This was my first time at an AmVets. It's pretty similar to other large thrift stores I've been…read moreto...but a little better. The aisles are nicely spaced, so you don't feel crowded or rushed. Everything was pretty well organized and fairly tidy for a thrift store. It was a Sunday and there weren't very many customers. They have a massive amount of clothing, but this time we were there for housewares and whatever else fun we could find for our apartment. The dish and glassware section is quite large and I'll need to go back with a specific plan to make proper use of it. Until then, I found a few things we still needed (having recently relocated from across the country with only a sedan full of stuff)... -2 quart Revere Ware saucepan for $6.98, lightweight and durable. -Pyrex measuring cup for $2.49. -white glass bud vase for 49 cents. -old aluminum ice trays to use in desk organizing for 99 cents. I will say, some of the pricing seems a little off. And unfortunately, a cute little ceramic dish I had found didn't make it into my bag at checkout. Overall, I was pretty happy with the store and will definitely be going back with a plan and more time. They have a location closer to me that I'll be checking out soon, too.
