Art fuel tattoos had great reviews so I booked a consultation with Brian. I showed him my family crest which was a rough picture. Brian tweaked it here and there and what a amazing job he did. Brian is truly a gifted artist. I came in Wednesday at noon and was there until 6. The staff made me feel like one of the family. Brian spent so much time to every detail. I was sooooo pleased. After researching reviews, I decided to try port city. I had 2 simple pieces I wanted done, and walked in with cell phone pics to show them. Zach took a look at my pics, and quickly set about getting them drawn up. He asked a couple times if they looked the way I wanted them to, and made adjustments as I requested. He even went back and made one smaller after we put on the stencil and I didn't like the size. I also ended up adding a third small design, after he had already drawn up the other 2. He helped me decide on proper placement, and did an awesome job on them. They've healed now, and I love all three! The shop was very clean, and comfortable. The guys greeted me as soon as I walked in, and even joked around with my teen son. My son pulled out his computer to play on while he waited, and they were quick to offer their wifi password, which thrilled him! If I'm ever back in the area, they'll be who I go to! Definitely recommend the shop as a whole! My designs were quite simple, so I'm truly not sure about Zachs artistry outside of the small, clean lines he had to use on them, but I definitely wouldn't hesitate to go back to him for a more complex piece. Matt is very authentic, eclectic and has an amazing personality. Throughout the 45 minute session, Matt and I conversed multiple times, mostly about our passion for all things "Horror". This is where my tattoo came in to play. I presented Matt with one dozen Horror-themed ideas approx. 2 months ago and I went with the one he was most passionate about...Ghost Face from the Scream series. This was perfect!! Our youngest son's favorite villain is Ghost Face, plus...Scream 5 just finished filming right here in Wilmington in 2020. Matt nailed this tattoo...I mean, he absolutely crushed it and I could not be any more pleased with the end result. All of Matt's lines are super clean, proportioned perfectly and it looked like a sticker afterward. My skin did not endure much, if any, trauma and bleeding was kept to a minimum. This was a flawless tattoo session and experience all around!!!! The shop was very clean, all employees were masked properly and everyone was down to Earth and friendly. I really loved Meaghan Angel's work, & luckily I was able to get tatted really quickly (perfect timing hehe). I gotta say, if you're just stopping by Wilmington or live here & want to get a tattoo, this is the place. I don't think I'll go anywhere else, because that's how solid this place is to me. I decided to get two tattoos, which only took about 2.5 hours or so. Meaghan is amazing, I have so much respect for her and her work.
